Seven Oaks is our home. There are 40 acres of hardwood timber on the Platte river and 10 acres of grass and wildflowers; Miles of rustic trails for hiking or biking, some appropriate for hayrides; picnic table and a 300 sq. ft. treehouse with hammocks for relaxation; Play a game of Cornhole; Fish in our pond or the Platte river. We are 15 minutes from Smithville lake boat ramp. We are limiting the 40 acres of timber to four groups of campers to provide privacy and seclusion for all. Topside RV/Camper Site includes the newly refurbished 28 ft. camper that sleeps 4 comfortably. The Hickory Forest RV/tent site has water and RV power hookups available. Two other tent camp sites are also available. If you have a large group and desire to have the whole SHABANG, we will close all sites and the entire area will be yours! WARNINGS! Hazards on our property include, but are not limited to: Biting insects, wild animals, dead fall trees (especially on the river bottom), slick and muddy approach to the river. In general, keep in mind you are camping in a timber and nature happens!

River Bottom Tent Camp Site
JQ has an amazing property and was super friendly and hospitable. Stayed at the River bottom tent campsite and it was the perfect primitive camping experience. If you’re looking for an off grid camping experience I highly recommend checking it out!

Wish we could have stayed longer!
Awesome place John and his family have! They were extremely welcoming and accommodating. No issues with any wild animals, and the evening was perfect. If you want a place to stay that feels secluded, but also full of awesome things to see and do, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

WOW! Amazing site! Amazing host!
This place was beautiful! I wish we had gotten the chance to roam around! John was amazing! He and his wife were so accommodating! Even when we were supposed to arrive at 6pm and ended up there at 1230am! His wife set out tiki torches and he waited at the gates ro guide us in! I wish we lived closer! We would definitely love to visit again!

Friendly hosts, beautiful land
Very friendly and responsive hosts! We were desperate to find a place last minute and John and his wife were quick to respond and get us the best spot on their land! Very beautiful property. Lots of walking trails and a cool hammock porch out in the woods! Highly recommend staying on their land!

Great Stay
This location was a dream for my partner, me and our 2 dogs. It was last minute Memorial Day weekend and the host(s) had no problems meeting us after dark to show us around our site. It is beautiful, wonderful hiking, the treehouse with hammocks is so cool (no lights really anywhere so bring lots of solars or lanterns to light up your area!) so private but with access to a flush toilet, water and electricity, river access and a fishing pond. Can’t say enough good things about this spot! We plan to stay here again when in the area.
