OK, we're not Glamping here... we just needed a place to rest for the night and this was perfect. The spots were flat, level, 50a hookups that was more than we needed. The Staff was great and dog friendly! We did have a neighbor , but barely noticed after 8pm. WE were also here on a Saturday night, this is in an industrial area, so I suspect some noise during week DAYS, but as other have stated, it dies off at night.
The bar is amazing, try the Vanilla Porter and the PB&J Mix Tape if available... the Pumpkin Smash was probably the best pumpkin beer around!
The Pretzels (3 sticks for ~7$) were worth it and the pizza (~16$) was enough for 2 hungry travelers!
Plenty of shirts and swag to be found and a great community to visit!
I do have to give -10 stars for a square cut pizza,... but i didn't think to ask, and it was really great after a 10 hour day!
We actually are considering stopping back on our way home from this trip, if it can be booked due to an upcoming festival.... Thanks Big Muddy!

Charlie the host was great. We had a few little hiccups but he was kind and gracious. The value is good being able to camp without a bunch of people. It was a hot day and we had a class B RV that required 35 amp to run our air conditioning which I asked about before coming. We ended up having to go to Walmart for an adapter, now I have one yay! Charlie recommended thank you. It also advertised bathrooms which were inside the building and closed. In the morning I was really needing the bathroom. Other than that it is a great place not a bunch of sites but no shade. An outdoor bathroom a shower wouldn't hurt even if it is a porta potty. I was getting ready to use my pack out potty. It was worth the money though overall. Thanks Charlie!
Very friendly family. The food and drinks were delicious! Sites behind the building had both electric and non-electric, no water hookups. No shade. There were 3 RV’s total while we were there including ours. There’s a nice patio area in the back with a large garage door size opening to enter the bar. The facility and restrooms are clean, but obviously not available when closed. We had an extra bonus of enjoying fireworks from the hosts and from the neighbors across the street. We enjoyed our stay here. Would stay again if we came back to the area in future travels.
This was my first experience with Hipcamp. And it was a wonderful one. Great location. Excellent and very helpful staff.
This is a super basic camp spot. Great for a quick overnight. What made this an absolute must stop is the owner, the staff, and patrons, of the brewery. The food and drinks are insane! I hope I get a chance to stay again!
Stopped by while traveling through - great little spot to get some rest.

Quaint place in an industrial neighborhood. The industrial noise goes away at night and it is an extremely pleasant and quiet place to camp. The brewery is awesome!

Went on a Thursday. Bar was closed. Never contacted by the host. Loud trucks and area. Didn’t stay.
Easy in and out, not crowded, great place to park for a few days!
Nice greeting on arrival, very accommodating host. Level clean and quiet. We're planning on booking again

The host and brewery are great. Brewery only open on weekends though. The tent camping grounds were overgrown and in an industrial setting. Heard big trucks and factories early in the morning. Probably a good spot for RV. No bathrooms outside brewery.
Had a great time staying here. The sites are gravel but level enough. The brewery has a great selection of beers (the Vanilla Stout was my favorite) and everyone was very friendly. The area is quiet on the weekends but during the week there are a lot of trucks coming and going from the aggregate depot across the street. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

level lot and close to town! If you come try to aim for days the brewery is open as it looked very fun but was closed when we visited! Pretty Muddy back-in if you are planning to camp within a day or two of rain, but n o problems accessing!

This was a convenient place to stay with electrical hookup. The host is very welcoming and being behind the brewery was certainly a bonus!
Very sweet people, good open field. Check if the bar has live music when you’re planning to camp!

Owners were super nice and friendly. Had fire wood waiting for me and it was great to just walk up to the bar and order dinner. When we arrived it was a bit dead due to a festival but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for their events and will be back.

We had a great time camping in the backyard of the brewery. And everyone at the brewery was very nice, friendly and helpful.
Our stay started when were greeted by an amazingly friendly staff member. It had been a long day of traveling so our pup was ready to get out and stretch his legs, and they are super dog-friendly. The space was clean and quiet. I would recommend staying here to anyone and I would personally stay here again.

Got there Sunday night. This brewery is nestled in a comercial area. I got there 30 min. before the brewery closed and they still served me a couple of their home brews and flatbread/pizza!!! Only has 120v & 50a set up. So if you have a 30a, bring a 50a to 30a dogbone. There is some type of gravel/sand company with heavy equipment next door. I had my A/C on, so the noise wasn't a factor for me when they started Monday morning. Kroger grocery 3 blocks away.
Quiet area, felt safe, had a great sleep!!

Chuck was a great host. The brewery is next door to the camp site with games, bathrooms and live music (on specific nights). There’s a clean pit toilet too for after hours. The site has electric hook up and easy to back up to. Thanks for the hospitality and great service!
This was a perfect spot, great beer, great people and power + water.

Very friendly and communicative host! Nice stay :)
We were camping there for the eclipse. Chuck, Scott, Jessica, and the rest of the crew hustled all weekend to make everything as good as it could be. There was entertainment all weekend starting with a presentation by the Adler planetarium from Chicago. There were a variety of campers there for the big event. Everything from tents to several types of RVs. From what I could tell, and the people I spoke to, everyone seemed to have a great time.
I would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
They have a good selection of beer brewed right on premise as well.
We had a great time at Big Muddy Brewery tent camping for the eclipse! Chuck was always helpful and courteous. It was quiet and night and fun during the day. Entertainment and Beer were off the charts great! Nice grassy lawn for a tent, clean bathrooms.
What an amazing event put on by Big Muddy Brewing and their amazing staff for the 2024-04-08 total solar eclipse!
We had a tent spot conveniently located not far from the patio, the bar, and the W/C's. Two outdoor porta-potties were available all night that were kept stocked and clean and the staff was there early to open the brewery so that we could access the indoor washroom.
Fresh, filtered water was available from an outdoor tap.
For the four nights we stayed, there were either events or bands every evening that wrapped up around 10pm -- great entertainment.
The flatbreads were yummy and the beer some of the best that I've ever had.
Thanks to the Big Muddy Team for their tireless work, great attitude, the wonderful atmosphere, and for hosting this event!

I loved tent camping at Big Muddy Brewery! It was the absolute perfect place to take in totality during the 2024 solar eclipse! Highly recommend. Beer and food was also amazing!!

Big Muddy Backyard 1
We had a great time camping for the total eclipse at Big Muddy Backyard. The site was just as described. There were public tables we could use. We brought a portable fire pit and had nice campfires near our tents. Chuck and crew were very accommodating and low-key. Recommend this as a stop, or a destination!
