We call our home "The Villa".  It looks like an Italian villa structure appropriately placed between two wineries in the middle of the Shawnee Forest.  It is actually a straw-bale home with supplemental solar energy provided by an array of 18 solar panels.  Originally built as a Holistic Healing Center, we have converted it into a comfortable home with great vibes.  We have converted an old grain bin into a "GrainZebo" just outside our home as a great place to hang out with friends and family. We hope you enjoy the relaxed feel we get living out here in the woods when you come visit.  We will be happy to help you feel at home out here.

Such a wonderful, welcoming place! The campsites are fantastic. We went to Pomoma natural bridge, did sampling at Pomoma winery, Hiked Little Grand Canyon, and sampled at Hickory Ridge winery. All within a short distance from Wine trail wildness. And then we received our first lesson in Bocce Ball. We will definitely be back! Jon and Carla, thanks for such an amazing weekend.

Peaceful Stay - perfect location!
Loved camping here for my late fall camping trip with my dog. We were the only campers on my first night, and a few more groups arrived in the campground on the 2nd night. Very peaceful and private campsite. I was a solo camper and felt very safe staying here. Jon is an excellent and kind host. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Greeted me when I arrived and provided assistance with planning activities in the area. He also helped me with some car issues on our last day. I will definitely be back, and recommend camping here when visiting the Shawnee Wine Trail.

Jon is a very nice guy and has really thought about how to make camping trips easy and enjoyable. The pre-set tent saved time and energy, especially since we showed up when it was dark. He had a place for trash/recycle which was helpful. The outhouse is well kept and clean. The Hickory Ridge winery is very close, and scenic. Wines were solid too. Very quiet and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Great time and would highly recommend! Thanks Jon!

Jon's campsite was great! The gazebo and electrical outlets available were great. The surrounding area is beautiful. Jon was also very attentive to our needs and responded immediately when we asked for a water cooler refill. Highly recommend.
