We made our reservation to camp in the path of totality of the eclipse and paid for it months in advance, drove 15 hours with our trailer and when we showed up there was a loud, noisy, mudpit, overcrowded "music" festival going on. Robyn told us if we wanted to camp there we would have to pay another $100 per person. We were very confused as there was no information about a music festival when we booked. We did not want to stay in with the masses so she told us we could camp next to her property in a field (which was at least not part of the mayhem festival). However, we booked the place because, according to the hip camp information, it had toilets, electrical hookups, and a kitchen. The family we were traveling with had not been camping before so they were planning on having access to at least a toilet. There were no toilet facilities in our field.
The music was so loud and continued blasting until 2:30 am. Even though we were in a different field the music carried right over to our campsite.
We figured that the noise would not stop during the eclipse. (Robyn said it would but we talked to our camping neighbor after and she said someone was banging a drum the entire time.) Fortunately we decided to walk a 1/2 mile down the road and found a lovely, quiet spot to enjoy the phenomenal experience.
I was so glad to get out of there and would not recommend this place.
