Not what I expected. I didn’t realize we would be so close to the entrance and there was a lot of ATV traffic and noise well after 10pm both nights. Campsite was somewhat clean and one out of the 5 outhouses were cleaned. All others were in need of emptying. Messaged the host a question about canoe rentals with no response and messaged our ETA as requested and no response. No host on site so we had zero communication or interaction from the host. We drove in according to directions and crossed our fingers we were in the right spot. I wouldn’t say the campsite was bad. I just wasn’t expecting all the ATV traffic and zero interaction from the host. I’ve camped in more primitive sites so the bathroom wasn’t a deal breaker either. Would be a great site for RV’s, family’s, and ATV enthusiasts. Not so good if you’re looking for quiet, remote camping accessible with a rooftop tent.

193889/10 awesome experience! Even though the waters were low due to the drought, the swimming holes were still deep and clear enough to do a couple laps. There were also several cool rocks/crystals that I spent my time hoarding 😅 I will most likely be back in the spring to fill another shelf. Michelle was also super sweet, and I could text her no matter what and she was very prompt with answering. She also gave me fresh eggs! Which with current grocery prices came at a perfect time to save my bank account 😂 Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a secluded retreat with nature. The noises from the other campsite didnt bother me, and I could even comfortably stargaze from a hammock i set up in the trees 🙏🏾

Would definitely return! Creek was low, but everything is right now. Would love to see the campground in the spring when the water's higher. The ice and firewood available on site was clutch!

The renters are very nice and made sure that I had everything that I needed. The cite by the creek is setup very well with plenty of area. Also, i’m not from that area so I don’t know what normal is, but while I was there, I didn’t fight almost any bugs. The whole time I was there, I only saw a few flies. I’m from Arkansas where the mosquitoes will pick you up and carry you away. And if there is ever a time to where I can be outside and not get bit by a mosquito, it’s a really really good day. I highly recommend the spot.

My dog and I got there around 830pm (which I know is late but we were coming from Arkansas and needed a safe spot to stay). The stars were beautiful!!! But around 930pm when we were trying to sleep there was a flash light that would come on and off randomly and the person holding it was getting closer. They stopped on the side of my car and shined the light in. Then they stopped in front of my car and shined the light in for about a minute. I locked my car and when I do that the lights flash. They continued on and (I believe) went to get ice before walking back to their site. On the way back they once again stopped in front of my car and shined the light in again. I decided to move the car toward the entrance were I saw people before. I backed up into the spot. Quickly killed the engine and the lights because I didn’t want to be rude to others. As soon as I turned my lights off a person camping across from me turned their car lights on shining in my direction. I sat in the drivers side for 15 mins thinking maybe they just needed light. But they never turned it off. Then, I am not exaggerating, my car shifted in a bouncing way twice. Thinking it could be my dog moving I turned to look in the backseat and he was already asleep. I noped right on out of there SO QUICK. While I don’t think this has much to do with the actual camp area or the owners, it was still a very very scary experience for me. But, hey, A+ on the star gazing before it got creepy!!!

Creekside Camping
We could not ask for a better campsite. Sites were clean and far apart for plenty of privacy. Unfortunately the creeks were dried up since there hasn't been any rain but it was a little too cool for swimming anyway. Michelle met us on arrival and guided us to our site and left us plenty of firewood for our stay. My dog also loved it! Hope to return next summer !

Beautiful part of the state, beautiful land, great camping spot. Even late in the dry season, this site is a wonderful getaway. It's tucked into the woods enough to have privacy, then opens up to two running streams that provide all of the beauty that moving water provides. Shelly and Paul were great to get us settled and supported.

Beautiful scenery! Peaceful and relaxing. The creek was low when I was there, so there was a bit of a trick downhill to get to the creek bed. It led to another Creek that had water and deep enough to swim in and also held fish to catch. It was a good time. The Host, Shelly was so helpful and informative about where to go and what to look for. She was a delight. I would definitely go back!

My stay at Creekside was fantastic. Shelly is very friendly and ready to help should you need anything. The site was clean and comfortable, but best of all of all was its proximity to the creek! It was just a short walk from the edge of campsite, giving easy access for swimming, wading, or a big open sky to watch the stars.
I was fortunate to have come when there few other guests, so it was extremely peaceful. The sites are well spaced and off a sparsely traveled county road. This is a great place for those who like basic camping, with a few basic amenities available. There is a simple shower (with hot water), well water, outhouse/johnny, and ice and firewood is available should you need it.
All in all, this was a great place to stay and I would definitely do so again sometime. Thank you, Shelly!

This rustic retreat is an outdoors enthusiast dream. We chose a more private primative site with a fire ring and picnic table. It had plenty of shade from nearby trees and was a long a dry wet weather creek. We enjoyed the simplicity, peace and beauty this place had to offer. The grounds were clean and well-maintained. I should note that there were also electric sites available and a shower house, a pit toilet and potable water access near our site, which was a welcome convenience. The campground's location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. There are several scenic sxs trails accessible from the campground, offering opportunities to immerse oneself in the natural beauty of the area. We also took advantage of the nearby creek, and the beautiful Black River which were both perfect for wading, swimming and enjoying the cool refreshing water. Shelley is lovely and was quick to respond to any questions. She even sent a friend who offered to show us around on the trails for the day. We had an amazing time. I highly recommend the Four Creeks Campground.

Michelle and Paul's land was a simple, well thought out area that provided everything our group needed for a multi-day stay on what was the hottest weekend of the Summer so far!
I unfortunately had to leave early, but the rest of our group was able to stay and enjoy the sights in the area as well as at the campground itself. The creek was beautiful, with crystal clear waters and tons of little critters for kiddos (and kids at heart) to find. The reviews are correct that rock hounding was also a solid 10/10 here!
Michelle greeted us upon arrival, and had been kind enough to move us to a spot in the shade so that we didn't have to worry about fighting the heat even more. Her directions were spot on, and she was always available either through text, or as she rode around checking on her guests. Amenities such as the bathrooms and shower were simple, which is to be expected when you take the camping route. We were simply happy to have them available!! Lots of enjoyable wildlife, good people, stunning sights, and good memories to be made. We would be happy to stay again! (when it's not 115° index 😅)

The host were very friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed right there at the campsite. Catching smallmouth in the creek was anwesome and we put them all back for future fishermen. It was a short drive to Johnson Shut-ins one day and the Current river another day. We had a great stay!

Had a fantastic time, the host were very nice and picked us out a nice secluded spot right on the river. It was my 7 year old daughter, my wife, and myself. It was the perfect spot because my daughter is a water bug so as soon as we got up in the mornings she was able to walk 10ft from the campsite and get in the water and play. Overall had a great time it did rain a bit while we were there and the campsite held a little water(but with the help of natural landscape rocks we made a dam to keep the tent out of the puddle) they have porta-potties for you to use but they are only in the main campground, where we were located had to walk about 1½-2 minutes to the closest bathroom, so it could use one on the other side of the campground for those users. Definitely recommend the campground though, it is a super friendly environment and very peaceful. There are 1 or 2 decent swimming holes for adults to get into and plenty of shallower spots for the kiddos.

I’ve stayed here now 5 separate times I love this property. From the peaceful camping spots and beautiful swimming holes a short walk away as well as a short drive to multiple river float locations on the black river and current river. Michelle and Paul are always there for great recommendations and have all the firewood and ice you could need for your trip as well as a shower after a day of adventure would 10/10 recommend and will stay here again!

Our third time coming back and it's better every time. Creekside is a little slice of paradise. Great swimming holes, and beautiful stars at night. The host Michelle is amazing and checked in on us when we had some nasty weather. She also gave us great recommendations on a new float trip after ours got rained out. Can't wait to come back again next year.

Great location close to lots of outdoor activities. We enjoyed the area, the creeks, and the campground. Ellington is less than 10 minutes so easy for groceries, gas, liquor, etc. Four Creeks is an older campground that is a step up from primitive and very rustic. Shelly was a great host and the side by side excursion was epic! The trails, creeks, and Clearwater Lake are incredible. We rented a campervan which turned out to be perfect. It was hot humid and rained a little bit each day. So nice to have the air and cover.

Michelle is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond (she was right there in the middle of the night to help us when we had trouble with our tent)! The campground is beautiful and we spent hours in the creek swimming and floating. We can’t wait to come back!

Quaint campground by flowing creek. Multiple sites, lots of shade, blue rockets and permanent outhouse, and a shower stall. One bunkie bldg on site, a couple of permanent looking RVs but no one was there mid week. You cross the creek to get to the site, which is no biggie but def need to keep kids playing in creek to be mindful that that is a roadway. Felt safe and secluded but not too far off the beaten track. Host was helpful and available if needed but not in your business. Weekends seem to be busy and rowdy based on the garbage left behind.

The atmosphere was great! Very peaceful and the streams were cold and clear on the hot days. What a great property and Shelly was a great host! There was not great cell service in the area so it was perfect to unplug and relax.

Site 1 - Creekside Group Camping
It did rain more than we liked on Friday, it flooded 2 of our tents but dried up quickly. They were calling for more rain Saturday evening and Sunday so we ended up packing up early(Saturday afternoon) so we didn't flood again, but overall it was a great stay. We were secluded, it was peaceful, the kids enjoyed the creek. Shelly showed us all the swimming spots and the kids loved the swimming and walking the creek. Will be returning!

What a wonderful place! Nature at its finest. There’s so much to do that we had a hard time deciding where to go next. Expect zero cell phone service. That’s also a plus!

Great tent spot for our family! This is our second year visiting, and our two boys (ages 4 and 7) love it here. Just a short walk to the creek, with plenty of shallow spots to wade and look at creatures (my youngest loves all the pollywogs!) and deeper spots for swimming.
