Llama Meadows Farm is a sixteen acre organic fruit and vegetable farm. We're a family peace farm. We have quiet time from 11 pm until 7 am. We have several games- bocce ball, badminton, frisbee, and a soccer ball.
The Hipcamp driveway is just south of our house, with a white Hipcamp sign directing you down the hill. Go slow through the trees and follow the road to the left, passing the Welcome Station, to access the sites
We don't mind a social drink or two, but we do not tolerate loud and drunken behavior. We ask all of our Campers to respect our sacred land and each other.
We have a beautiful bonfire patio with about 15 chairs. We also have a sink in our Welcome Station. For drinking or brushing teeth. Dishes are still washed in the dishwashing station. We have an instant hot water station as well as a charging station to charge your phones.
We have our pup Jazzy Bear on the site, who's the Hostess with the Mostest.
When the campsite is full, we do a group bonfire where everyone is invited to get to know each other.
We also have an artsy outhouse.
Located in Beautiful Benzie Country, in Northwestern Lower Michigan. We are one mile south of Crystal Lake and six miles east of Lake Michigan. Our-house is super insulated and passive solar. We had llamas for their wool and manure.
We retired from raising llamas, we had 12 they got old and moved on. We have around 50 fruit trees. The fruit we grow includes apples, pears, figs and paw paws. We also grow grapes, and kiwis, we also put in filberts, walnuts and pecans. We have a beautiful labyrinth peace garden.
We don't want barbecue pits on the ground it burns the grass

What a special place. The A Frame is so thoughtfully constructed and appointed for all you need in a compact and comfortable ‘camping’ environment. The mattresses are comfortable, sleeping bags if you need them, water, hot plate, kettle, radio, power, lights, very clean bathroom - area outside for fire and bbq … and the convertible siding is such* a special touch - I ended the night with a bourbon on the deck and stars and started the morning in bed w coffee and the siding up and didn’t want to leave. John was super friendly and responsive and you can see the care he and his family have put into this space. It’s also 10 mins from Charlevoix which is convenient. Big fan. 10/10. Highly recommend !

A beautiful site nested in Newberry!! The tent for site #4 was very comfortable and it was really convenient that Cory had firewood for sale! Cory was also very helpful in helping me find the restrooms and where to fill out the liability forms.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Sound Center: Campground
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this treehouse is hard to beat. We loved exploring the nearby trails, and spending time in the beautiful hemlock fern gully, it felt like stepping into a hidden forest oasis. The treehouse itself was a unique and memorable place to stay, making the whole experience feel special.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Sound Center: Campground
It was a lovely sight. Although I was unable to stay at the treehouse, I was able to stop by and see it. It was a very peaceful, serene spot. The treehouse was small, not room for much stuff but on the other hand, quite cozy. I hope to try a stay again when conditions are better for me personally. Dede was an attentive host who responded quickly to comments or concerns.

We loved everything about it! Buttercup the goat, the treehouse, bonfire with grill, peace and quiet, on and on. We slept right on the second story of the treehouse!! Be careful climbing down if you have to use the bathroom. Could be an issue for some but we absolutely loved it. Definitely would recommend.

Camping at Cory's was an interesting experience. The suspended tent was unlike any other tent I've used before and it was cool and surprisingly comfortable to sleep in. The site itself was cute with a nice picnic table, chairs, and a fire ring. Everything was clean and well cared for. Cory was communicative and nice.
Unfortunately, there were a truly incredible amount of mosquitos. When we were at the campsite, we spent our time zipped up in the tent to get away from all the mosquitos. This was my first time in the UP at this time of year, and while I had heard it was mosquito season, I didn't really have an inkling of what that meant. Some heads up during this time of year would be nice for future guests!

John is a great and well communicative host.
We stayed in the A-Frame and spent the entire night with the side open; making it an even better experience when a nearby barred owl decided to make its presence known.
We were underprepared for the mosquito burden throughout the region - John provided both DEET and Citronella candles by default; but beware if you wander off property.
Looking forward to our next walkabout - this time bringing the kids.

What a wonderful stay in the purple palace tiny treehouse! I don’t typically write reviews, but I can’t keep so many nice things to myself. Kinda like when you find a beautiful beach, you want everyone to enjoy it but you also don’t want it overcrowded, lol. Host Betty is a true delight. Making sure to walk you through all of the amenities you may need, you feel ready for a comfortable stay. The photos given do show you what to expect, but what they don’t show is the incredibly peaceful vibe for you to breathe in. I absolutely loved walking through the gardens and rolling meadow. My favorite part, besides chatting with Betty and their awesome pup, was waking up with birds singing, sun glowing, and soft breeze coming through the treehouse windows. Oh, and being all set up to have a cup of tea before your feet even touch the floor in the morning! So yes, do book your stay! But don’t tell anyone how great it was. 😉

Cory is an incredible host! We were pleasantly surprised by the cool amenities this sky pod offered. I definitely thought it was going to be completely rustic with a cool tent. But there was a solar panel that powered lights and a fan inside the pod providing a comfy stay.
Just like most wooded places, there are lots of mosquitos so bring your gear! Also if you have a bad back, I recommend bringing an extra blanket for padding on the bed. But other than that, we will be back! So grateful.

We absolutely adored our stay in the treehouse and were thrilled to watch the farm animals munching away in all the different pastures! Plus, being JRR Tolkien fans, it was a real treat to see the hobbit hole under construction! And with the lake right there, we had a blast getting our paddle boards in the water!

Everything was perfect! From the friendliness of the family, tp the sounds of the farm and nature around us.... one of the best places I have stayed outside of the Forest!
The family did a excellent job giving a tour of the place and making us feel welcome. I got a tour and layout of the tree house and they wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for the night including water, dishes and a propane stove.
Frogs were active all night which made it easy to sleep to. My grands were not wanting to venture to the top of the fort so we made due bit had a blast! Already looking to get back out for a longer trip once weather warms up more.

1st let me say, that treehouse was not what we expected. Huge size, very spacious and fully accommodating. We didn't need anything. A perfect host. To be surrounded by woodlands, we didn't get harrassed by many bugs and true to word, that port-a-john was immaculate. My new husband and I had the best honeymoon.
The tree house was right above the road and you'd think the traffic would be a bother, but it wasn't and in the treehouse you only heard the wind, the tree, and acorns being thrown by squirrels. Peaceful & natural. Sam was a pleasure to meet and bond with. Very friendly and even asked if we need anything from the store on her way home. She's a true Gem.
The beds in the treehouse were spacious and comfortable. Very cozy. We will be returning.
