The site was nice and peaceful. There was a nice set up with two chairs and a firepit. Campsite on the end of a dead end road. Nice central location to travel between Grand Marais and Marquette.

Wayne was welcoming hospitable host! His property is quiet, relaxing and well appointed and very easy to get into. I am sad we didn’t use the firewood he had out for us to use in his solo stove but we chose to take his advice on a location to view the northern lights which were so beautiful and one for me to check off the bucket list. Definitely will comeback!
Big, private site down a quiet road and close to town. We have a 31’ trailer that easily fit. The site was immaculate and hookups were in great shape. There is a nice picnic table in a pretty grassy area behind the site, which allowed us to tie out the grateful dogs while we were ‘home’. Next to this is a big patio with fire pit and chairs. All of this is surrounded by trees, for a peaceful view. The host was super friendly and answered our questions on the best hiking and activities. Absolutely recommend!!!

Well maintained, clean and level site with nice hookups. There’s also a large patio with a cute table/chair set, and a smokeless fire pit. Plenty of room for our dog to play and very quiet. Recommend renting a pontoon in Munising to see Pictured Rocks. Great spot and good water!

Wayne was a gracious and generous host!. He was incredibly kind and helpful! The space itself is peaceful, private, quiet, and had easy to access electric/water. He offers wi-fi which was much appreciated and had a beautiful patio with a fire pit. Wayne went above and beyond to help us feel welcomed and comfortable. I hope we will get to stay with him again when we are in the UP again! 10/10!

He has a beautiful fire pit setup behind his building. We thought the RV area was great and, of course, Munising and Pictured Rock are beautiful! Hope to be back one day!!

Spectacular spot and fabulous host for our 2.5 weeks exploring the area. Our fifth wheel is 43ft with four slides and we had plenty of space. You can tell Wayne put a lot of thought into the space, and enjoys hosting people and sharing his knowledge of the area. In addition to the space for our truck and camper, we had access to a large grassy area and two stamped concrete patios (small one with picnic table and other large with two chairs, side table, and amazing fire pit). Great water pressure and water quality. There is also WiFi and a pellet grill available. Very private and peaceful. We enjoyed watching wild turkeys wander through, and our dogs enjoyed walking around the property and neighborhood. Would come back to Munising just to stay here!
Very quiet and clean. If you are a large RV looking for comfort within your RV and privacy this is your place. If you are looking for being more in nature and are self sustaining (have solar and water on board) I would chose a more affordable camp.

Clean, quiet, and easy to get to Pictured Rocks or town.
We had a wonderful stay at Wayne's place! Wayne was quick to respond to messages, very kind and courteous, and went above and beyond by providing helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. The campsite itself was spacious, private, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature. We really appreciated the peaceful setting and the hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable camping experience.

Very nice setup.
Quite on a dead end, on a city like street. He has everything set-up perfectly and very easy to back straight in. If you're looking to stay out of the big campgrounds and getting a peaceful night's sleep this is the place.

Great quiet and private spot. We never got a single mosquito bite and we stayed for a week. We had our dog and this was great for her, she played in the grass and had nice walks in the neighborhood. Love the gravel/concrete as we were able to not drag in as much dirt. We used the concrete pad for morning workouts as well. Wayne’s a water guy, so has great water quality and pressure. He is also a kind man with lots of good local suggestions. We loved Muldoons pasty, not the other places as much. Get the traditional it is amazing! $5 pints at East Channel Brewing and good flavors also. Also we were able to see the Northern Lights at Miners Beach one night. Enjoy!

Wayne’s spot is exactly as described—a great full hook-up site next to his warehouse building. It’s quiet so you won’t make any friends or meet people, but you’ll have a quiet place to rest after a day of exploring, and sometimes that’s the greatest gift of all.

We were completely happy with the accommodations for our 2 nights as we adventured around Pictured rocks. Wayne is a topnotch HipCamp host. Wayne also has a lifetime of knowledge of the area around Munising MI. We highly recommend this place as a home base for adventures in this area!

This is a very nicely maintained site in an excellent location WITH SEWER! That’s super rare around here, at least when we were searching. It’s extremely easy to navigate with a large rig. The owner is so kind and offered some insider tips. There’s a cool trail at the end of the street - honestly unsure if it’s private or not but there weren’t signs! It’s very quiet out there. The warehouse is on a residential street and there isn’t a house near to the campsite.
We really enjoyed our stay at Wayne’s! The site was spacious, level, private and had full hookups. There is a nice concrete slab for your rugs and chairs. He also provides a nice grill, picnic table and grassed area right behind the rig for the dogs. The fresh water was great so we filled up before heading out. We really appreciated the location… we were so close to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, multiple waterfalls, beaches and the Ottawa National Forest. This site is also close to several restaurants, souvenir shops, a grocery store and gas stations. Wayne recommended Sand Point beach for a sunset…. It was beautiful! Highly recommend ! We also rented a pontoon to see the pictured rocks and are so glad we did!! Wow! Absolutely breathtaking! A must do to fully appreciate the beauty!! We will definitely rent from Wayne again when we come back to this area!
Easy to fine, spacious and very quiet. This was a short weekend trip. Road closure took us on a detour but that just meant we got to enjoy more of the country.
My husband and 2 dogs loved our stay at Wayne’s. Easy access to all things at the site and in the area. Quiet and very nice! There was a great place to walk dogs and even find some agates. Very nice cement pad to sit in the evening or do a yoga workout in the morning😁 Wayne checked in a couple times to see if we needed anything, which was perfect!!

Great location to Pictured Rocks and the fun that surrounds it. Clean, safe, level. Owner provided a great list of things to do in the area (restaurants, excursions, hikes, etc). Would stay again!
Wayne is super responsive and hosts a very clean and comfortable site. It is very quiet. It is a very sunny spot on a hot summer afternoon in July. Not much Wayne can do about that! We did need to run the AC a few nights. You can get into town or Picture Rocks easily. I would recommend this spot.

Great location a few miles from Munising. Quiet, full hookups, excellent for a one night stop over but would also be good for longer stays. Wayne sent many messages in advance making sure we had info on the area with a great Google doc of tips and recommendations, and he sent another message making sure we knew about a road closure in the area and how to route around it. Would definitely recommend and would come back if we are in the area again!

We absolutely loved Wayne’s site. We had no problem getting our 35’ fifth wheel parked and level. It was a great location for exploring the area, and so nice and peaceful to be ‘home’ each night. We felt very safe in this quiet, private location.

Great site! It was quiet and felt private with very little going on around the site. The area felt very safe. Wayne and his wife were over-the-top helpful with area insights and hospitality. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 + dog had a fantastic week at Wayne's RV site in the UP! This spot is an ideal basecamp for exploring - during our trip we visited Pictured Rocks NP, Grand Marais, Marquette, Mackinac Island, and the Keweenaw Peninsula. The site was quiet, and the WiFi and water quality were excellent. We saw Wayne a couple of times, and caught glimpses of a neighbor here and there, but otherwise, it felt very private.
Be prepared for mosquitos! We learned this the hard way on our first morning when we weren't careful with the door and ended up with an RV full of them. However, this was easily remedied with a can of mosquito fogger. We fogged under the camper morning and evening, and it made a huge difference for the rest of our stay. It's also designed for backing in, which would have meant our RV door opened towards a building. We much preferred having our door open to the trees, so we opted to pull straight in. This just required using a power extension and a sewer extension, which wasn't a big deal because we already had them.
We loved our stay so much we even extended it a day! We'd absolutely stay with Wayne again and highly recommend this site to friends and family.
We stayed here and it's a quiet area, there is no other campers; you can walk out your door and nobody is watching you, nobody looking from their window into yours. Privacy! Close to everything Munising had to offer. You have the woods on one side. Owner made sure you had everything needed to make it a good experience. Water, electricity, sewer and Wi-Fi that actually works (unlike other campgrounds that say they have it). Sure at the moment it is a work in progress but when it's done it will be great!!! If you don't want to deal with over booked campgrounds then this is the place for you.
