This site is absolutely magical. The sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. It's private but also super close to porcupine mountains and Ontonagon gas stations and cafes. There also were ZERO flies and mosquitos which was shocking for end of May. I will 100% be back!

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! The bird calls were nice, even heard a barred owl, an eagle flew overhead and a hummingbird stopped by for a visit. The beach is so clean and we found some yooperlites! The fire pit ring was best I've ever had the pleasure of burning a fire in. We will stay here again.

So enjoyed the very private beach and lovely property. I love Lake Superior and this place was perfect to watch the waves. So grateful for the electric hookup, the water source and, of course, the very cute bath house with a flush toilet. Nice pair of chairs, picnic table and fire ring on the beach. Thank you to Doug and April for sharing this beautiful place! Looking forward to returning.

We loved Doug and April's land! The spot was magical and we plan to stay there again. I would give 5 out 5 stars! Our only recommendations would be to add a picnic table to the grassy area (we will plan to bring table with us next time), would just make it a bit easier for preparing food. A huge plus would be to add some string lights to the beach. The area however exceeded our expectations and we will be back! : )

We enjoyed our stay. The hammock and beach chairs were a nice addition from last year. Last year there was a bridge out so did not really have much road noise. However this year the bridge was fixed and we did notice more road noise. If your at the beach it isn’t as noticeable but if your a light sleeper you maybe bothered. For us it wasn’t a concern and definitely doesn’t out weigh the desire to stay.

We had a great time at Beach Camp! The greatest location between Ontonagon and the Porcupine Mountains. This was our second time staying and it just keeps getting better! The beach was great for beach combers. We used the location as a beach base camp. Took off for a night on a backcountry backpacking overnight trip. Came back and enjoyed the site for a few more nights! This place has all the amenities we need and there’s a dump station near by. We would definitely want to stay again.

Wow - we've been to all 50 states, and this was one of our favorite hipcamps of all time! Beautiful, serene, private, and spacious. Impeccably clean and well-maintained. The electric and water hookups worked well, and a real, flushing toilet was a bonus. The beach tent area was flat and sheltered from the wind. The upper camper area on the grass was spacious and level. Great jumping off point for the Porkies, Keweenaw, and the state & national forest areas. Our kids enjoyed the use of the bikes. We are definitely coming back!

Everything about this property is perfect! We stayed for 7 nights in our class C motorhome. Not having full hook up, with water and electric only, the on-site bathroom was essential. It was clean, neat, bug free and had a flushing toilet. The beach was perfect for hanging out, swimming and rock hunting. Doug and April really did an amazing job with this property. If only camping were like this everywhere!!

Selfishly I don't want to tell anyone how awesome this location is but I can't do that! This place is absolutely amazing. Along the shore is truly a beach paradise with rocks & driftwood. The sunset was unmatched. With large dogs the info and review I'm always looking for is level of privacy and this place was exactly what you'd want. There are neighbors on each side and all along the beach (hard to tell what's empty, an actual residence, and other vacation rental locations) but in the 2 days we were there I saw a total of maybe 4 people and they were all at a distance lots down. I heard no one else. Everyone seemed to very much respect the property lines even along the Superior shore! My husband, myself and dogs dogs were in heaven. The parking spot is by a road but it's not too busy. We just brought long leads for our dogs while we were at the camper and they were happy as can be. Oh, and the bath house was SOO cute & nice with true flushing toilet. I can't wait to come back and for longer next time!

The beach camp is so lovely! The beach is amazing. Camping spot is perfectly sized. Flushing toilet! That's amazing. It's the full package. The area is packed with fun things to do, all over the place. Right by the Porkies. Right by Ontanogan. Such a cute area! We loved it!

What a wonderful private Beach Camp with electric, water and a flushing “outhouse”. Who could want for more! The neighbors next door were very friendly and shared info on finding Yooperlite rocks. Unfortunately, we bought the wrong type of light but will know what to bring on our next visit.
We used this location to visit the Porkies, Keweenaw Peninsula, Copper Harbor as well as Houghton. The Jam Pot is a must visit.
In Ontonagon, if you’re looking for food, be sure to eat at Syl’s. All food is great. The baked goods are oh so good!

Highly recommend!
We had an incredible time at Beach Camp!
My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and it was picture perfect!
From the location, the fire pit, to the cute outhouse, water spigot, canoe..you name it everything was awesome! We camped on the beach using our tent and it was so peaceful hearing the waves.
We will definitely be back to visit!

This is our second time here and it was even more wonderful than the first! There is a bathroom with a flush toilet now that is an adorable little hut. We stayed in our camper van and hooked right up to the electric. Amazing sunsets. Rockhunters paradise. Perfect driftwood bonfires. And we saw the Northern Lights!!!!!!

It was a relaxing and peaceful time at beach camp. Area had many flat options to set up. The new flush potty was a nice addition. The lake and beach was pretty private ( a few beach walkers but not a problem). The trailer parking area is close to the road but a line of trees does separate you so you still have privacy. You could hear road noise but it wasn’t intrusive and isn’t like a highway with tons of cars and if your on the beach all you can hear is the wind and waves. Over all a lovely stay.

We were lucky enough to spend an entire week at this wonderful spot! We traveled from Illinois because my husband wanted to spend his 55th birthday on the shores of Lake Superior. This place is pure paradise!! We could of stayed here forever! The views are just amazing and we felt so secluded on the beach. There were days we didn't even venture out to explore the area because we were so comfortable there. Our pup loved just laying on the beach all day. It's hard to pick one favorite thing, because we loved all of it, but I have to say the cute little bathhouse was my favorite! I just love the look of it!! I have to say that this was my most favorite place we've ever traveled to and have spent the week missing it!! Thank you for sharing and we will return someday!

My fiancé and I recently tented for a night at Doug and April’s beach camp on our way through the UP. What an amazing spot! The beach and property was clean and nicely set up for a cozy camp. The lake views were incredible, especially at sunset. And the pristine flush toilet and ‘outhouse’ made the whole experience extra comfy. We wish we could have stayed at least a few more nights and definitely will be back. One of the best car camp experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended!
