We loved the farm, it was great to see the everyday needs of the animals in a beautiful country setring. AJ was so helpful and welcoming. Madi makes awesome GF bread! Overall a great experience and location to visit the Keweenaw peninsula.

Such an amazing 1st hip camp experience! I’d definitely come back and recommend to anyone. From a sweet family, to an amazing farm experiebce, to the morning sauna… what a way to spend a couple of days in this gorgeous area to drive the Peninsula!

Another awesome stay with AJ and Maddie. Nice level area to park van, we were only ones there. Nice to see all the progress from hard work over last 3 years. Folks should understand this is a working farm, so watch where you step! Sauna was awesome - slept really well afterwards! See you again for the three-peat! Didn't play, but they also have a killer disc golf course.

My family and I had our first experience with HipCamp at Constellation Farmstead and it was an absolutely wonderful time! Our toddler and two dogs loved it! We fed the hog every morning with our food scraps, hung out around the campfire at night with the other campers and our kiddo had such an enjoyable time with all the other farm animals! If you stay here, make sure you buy some of Madelin's sour dough bread, it's divine! Thank you all again so much for a fantastic time at Constellation Farmstead!

We really enjoyed staying at Constellation Farmstead! AJ was an incredible host. He made sure we had everything we needed. He even built a bonfire for us! We would stay again!

Had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the hospitality throughout the stay. Had a level spot next to the barn and visited the numerous farm animals! Enjoyed the bonfire and talking with extended family that was visiting. Everyone was very accommodating and would highly recommend!

The very quick response time before checking in was extremely helpful as we were coming from NW Indiana. Madelin was such a great host on her own for our stay as the Mr. was under the weather. Perfect location between cities and recreational attractions we were wanting to visit. Nice property and the animals are fun!! Will have to come back when warmer to play disc golf!

AJ and Madelin's farmland is stunning! It was fun to see all the different animals and apple trees that were on the property. They were more than welcoming and had many different add-on experiences depending on personal preferences. We partook in the sauna which was a lovely experience and very rejuvenating. They were fantastic hosts and overall we had a lovely experience.

I was not actually able to stay at Sunset view after all, because of some changes in our plans and the change of location of the wedding we were attending in the Keweenaw, but they were very kind and understanding and refunded me even though I cancelled so last minute. I hope to make it there sometime!

Honestly I was not sure about our RV trailer site at first as we were next to the sow nursing shed with a bunch of piglets and behind us were the hogs. Having never lived on a farm and having 2 dogs with us that had never stayed on a farm, I was nervous. I have to say we had a wonderful time. We fed our food scraps to the pigs, the mama sow was very friendly and wanted scratches under her chin and the piglets were adorable. They were quite good neighbors.
AJ was a great host, making us feel welcome, giving us the history of the farm and making a great beach recommendation.
I took advantage of the sauna and it was wonderful! We also bought gluten free sourdough bread (I am avoiding wheat) and eggs.
I would recommend the Farm, especially to those who do not get to experience farm animals up close.

It was a beautiful place. Awesome people. Very friendly. The tent was great good location, but….. The description said no toilet, but there would be a place for a campfire. So we purchased our own camping toilet and booked the place. We get there do have a camping toilet that has been very used not cleaned out possibly ever and the smell of it was something I don’t wanna smell again. There was no fire ring And we were in the middle of a freshly mowed field so dry grass. By 9 PM Every mosquito within a 5 mile radius was attacking us with no fire. So There was no way for us to battle them and we were in the tent by 10 at the very latest every evening. We were offered the chance to go by the host families home and sit by their campfire. But we camp like we do with very few people so we have our own space. It’s our time to get away and personally we do not care to go sit with other people to enjoy a campfire each night. Plus, no Fire means no way to cook unless you have a grill and nothing for heat as it was cooling down in the evening and nothing for light other than a lantern that attracted the bugs that we couldn’t get rid of because we had no fire.
So would we go again only if we knew the toilet was clean or we would bring our own and if we were reassured, there would be a fire ring for us to have a fire of our own.

AJ was hospitable and friendly. He made camping on the farm easy and fun. Constellation Farmstead’s location allowed for many opportunities for activities offsite, as well as the multitude of offerings on the property, allowing us to easily fill our days. I would recommend staying at Constellation Farmstead as the hosts offer not only a great place to sleep at night, but can also turn your time there into a complete farmstead experience, going above and beyond simply offering a place for you to set up your tent.

We enjoyed our stay on the farm. Madelyn was friendly and went out of her way to meet our needs. The farmstead is beautiful and serene and a good location for exploring the area.

This was such a fun place to stay! Lots of animals to look at :-) Disc golf right there and at the end of the night we had a small fire, best campfire atmosphere. Already want to go back! Thanks so much for the wonderful time!

Absolutely breathtaking property full of farm animals, wild flowers, and nature. It was quite magical waking up next to the sounds of the morning farm. We spent time with Madelin and AJs family around the fire at night which was really special. AJ taught us about his pigs and vegetable garden. They were accommodating to all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend camping here and plan to return one day.

Wonderful little stay over, as a base camp to visit the peninsula. Houghton is a short drive with great mountain biking. The sauna was a wonderful way to wind down after an adventurous day. The hosts are very hospitable with great ambitions. We look forward to returning and seeing the farm stead evolve.
