Absolutely beautiful spot. Although I think the tent spot is even more beautiful than the camper spot because it is right off the water. We enjoyed the privacy it afforded us and the water was very comfortable. We brought our camper but already plan on coming back with our tent to enjoy the site even more.

Beautiful campsite, I would definitely stay here again. The walk in wasn't bad at all.
A hidden gem. Beautiful and clean spot. Rain or shine (we experienced both) it’s worth the stay. The views at every point of the day and evening is a core experience.

and a peaceful setting that makes it easy to relax. While the campsite isn't directly on the shoreline, it's just a short walk to the water where you can enjoy the beach, watch the sunset, or simply listen to the waves roll in.
One thing worth mentioning is that you'll need to back your camper into the site from the road. It's not a difficult back-in, but I personally wouldn't recommend bringing a camper much longer than my 21-foot travel trailer if you want to fit comfortably and maneuver with confidence.
The campsite feels tucked away from the crowds, making it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. It's also an excellent home base for visiting many of the Upper Peninsula's waterfalls, scenic drives, and other nearby attractions.
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place to camp near Lake Superior and don't mind a short walk to the shoreline, I highly recommend this HipCamp. I enjoyed my first stay enough that I came back a second time, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

What an incredible spot on Lake Superior! The beachfront access was absolutely amazing, and our dogs were in heaven—they never wanted to leave the water or the beach. The campsite felt like our own private island, secluded and peaceful, yet still had everything we needed for a comfortable 3-day, 2-night stay.
We booked this trip at the last minute and couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. The host, Tammy, was fantastic and made us feel welcome right away. It was also great meeting her new puppy!
We spent our days exploring the shoreline, relaxing by the water, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. One of the best parts was that the cell service was pretty spotty, which ended up being a blessing. It was nice to unplug, disconnect from the daily grind, and just enjoy a couple of days immersed in nature.
The highlight of the trip was cooking dinner right on the beach while watching an unforgettable Lake Superior sunset. Between the incredible views, the sound of the waves, happy dogs, and the feeling of having the whole shoreline to ourselves, it was an experience we'll remember for a long time.
If you're looking for a dog-friendly getaway with privacy, breathtaking scenery, and a chance to truly unwind, this place is hard to beat. We can't wait to come back!
This is my happy place. Long summer nights, shore, an unobstructed view of sunsets, solitude. I swear I get healthier just sitting watching sunsets. The Hosts are great and the site is private and ideal for unwinding.
Absolute paradise. I couldn’t have dreamed a better location to explore this area. We paddled Lake Superior, hiked mountains and saw waterfalls in the same day. The hosts were welcoming and informative. If ever in this area, I would come back again ten times over.

Very nice and well kept. Having your own little private piece of beach is amazing
Incredibly nice hosts(and new puppers). Great little spot if you want a nice basecamp or a spot to relax for a moment. The waves will drown out most if any road noise and is the perfect backdrop.
The site is kind of 3-fold. You have the beach which puts you front and center. The immediate area behind it with a picnic table and a perfect sandy spot for your tent. And then a short walk to parking, another picnic table and options there. If it’s windy, they all play their role.
I chose to decompress. There was no cell service(Verizon). Perfect. Plan ahead. There’s a town ~10 minutes east if you need to communicate with those you’re trying to escape.
The clean port-o-potty was a nice bonus for someone who can survive without one.
I can’t comment on local adventures this trip, but I’ve been in the area prior to know there’s plenty to explore if that’s your plan.

Great spot on a Great Lake! Hard to find privacy like this in the Porkies. We appreciated the outhouse, two picnic tables, and giant fire ring. Even got lucky to see Northern Lights. Will be back.
This is a nice little campsite on Lake Superior with plenty of beach to walk in both directions. We really enjoyed our late season camping trip and lucked out on the fantastic weather. Host was great and accommodating. We would love to stay again.

Hands down the best place I have ever set up a tent!! We will be going back and longer next time! The sounds and views are amazing.
Every bit as beautiful as the photos. Tight to turn around. Short dirt path from parking to tent site. Secluded, but not isolated.
We had a great time at this property! Right on the beach with a couple different areas to set up camp, near the beach or in the wooded area. They had 2 picnic tables which helped out a lot with cooking and eating meals. The property is fairly close to neighbors and the road, but with the trees and greenery it felt pretty private. No cell service in the area whatsoever, but it gave us the chance to disconnect.

We had a great experience staying at Tammy’s spot right on the shores of Lake Superior. Views were spectacular, with beach bonfires every night watching the sun go down and waking every morning to sunrise. Super close to all Porkies hikes and accessibility. Not to mention, Tammy is a really lovely host, very responsive, kind and helpful. Can’t recommend her and her place more. Piece of heaven here.

This was a truly lovely site. We enjoyed the privacy and setting up our tents on the sand. It was a windy day, but the layer of trees really made it comfortable and possible to still make a fire to cook over. We enjoyed watching the amazing sunset and relaxing in our hammocks as the stars came out. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful camp spot!!
We loved our stay here! We backed pur truck bed camper right in to the easy to find driveway. We loved the beach for a fire, sunset, and beautiful night sky. Two picnic tables, clear easy paths, porta potty, and other small extra amenities. Dog friendly. We would definitely stay agian!

I could live at this campsite, it’s so beautiful! We enjoyed picnicking and campfires on the beach and it was so peaceful to hear the waves on the lakeshore as we went to sleep in our tent. Tammy is a very friendly and welcoming host. Would love to camp here again!
