The shower was amazing as it was around 30° with windchill! Waking up near the lake is a bonus, you can catch a good sunrise and sunset here. This is my second time here and I am sure not the last.

Thank you Michael for a beautiful view of Sandy Lake!! The only thing I would change with our stay would be to update the toilet situation via install a toilet with water that’s plumbed into a drain field etc. The sauna was cool :) 🐻

We had a perfect day! We hiked Silver Mountain and found the best macaroons at The Red Hen before arriving at the camp site. It is a beautiful setting. Shade trees and a peaceful lake. Still my favorite part of our stay was the sauna.

Great central location with easy day trips to the Porcupine Mountains, or Keweenaw Peninsula, Copper Harbor, Houghton etc. The Sauna is an excellent feature for this camp location. It was super luxurious to have hot showers and relaxing in the steam heat, especially since the first few days of our trip were pretty cold. Nice dock, very easy to launch our kayaks. Not quite as 'private' as I would love to be, as there are houses on the lake on both sides of the property, but all in all, we had a great trip. I would recommend this property.

I found this place on a whim and It turned out to be paradise in the UP. A few friends were planning to accompany me but then I ended up solo on a perfect getaway from everything! If you’re looking for a quiet escape on the lake with a sauna, well this is it….
The hot shower is a big bonus of this stay.
It does get quite dark so make sure you check your headlamps for charged batteries (unlike me) or you’ll have to use your phone or stats to guide you back to your tent ;-) If you use the sauna, plan to wait a while for ideal temps but very easy to manage - just turn the knob and set it for 2hrs or more for warmer temps.
Mike is very friendly and brought me a cup of homemade applesauce the morning after I got in.
I really enjoyed the sauna, dip and relax time here.
Me and my dog Lady lost track of time when the day came to depart, and I wasn’t rushed out by any means. Thank you Mike & Company.

Gentle Breeze is exactly that. Enjoy solitude with beautiful surroundings, a serene lake to watch the sunset and a relaxing sauna and shower at the end of the day. It was perfect! We brought some local wood but also used some of the felled smaller logs there. Bring something to cut them with, we just used a small axe. We will definitely be back again and we’ll bring our kayaks.

Great spot! Having the sauna and shower available after a long day of hiking was a wonderful way to end a long day. The open field area was great for some star gazing too.

Gentle Breeze is a nice camping area on Ssndy Lake. With 3 large site and plenty of trees. We love using the pier to both swim off and watch sunsets. Plenty if natural wood for the fire ring a the host brought of some hardwood logs for the 2nd nights fire.

Directions were clear and I was able to find the sites at 3am, entrances were marked with camp signs!
The lake view is beautiful!
I didn't get a chance to use the sauna but it looked well built and clean.
The sites were clean and taken care of.

Gorgeous property! We were lucky and got the spot closest to the lake. The sunset was breathtaking and it was so quiet you could hear the embers crackle in the fire. Highly recommend this hipcamp!

Nice location. We enjoyed being close to Twin Lakes State Park where our 3yo loved playing on the playground. Owner is nice and responds quickly to phonecalls and texts. He did send somebody out when we asked for some weed wacking around the fire pit and table. We had the spot closest to the bathroom, and it still felt secluded- i hardly noticed when other campers used it. We didn't take advantage of the sauna or shower. A nice bonus was that a neighbor had a spectacular firework show on the 4th of July!

We loved camping at Gentle Breeze. Our campsite was right on the water, it felt secluded, and Micheal the host was super nice and helpful. We felt like family!! The sauna and shower was a great addition to our camping experience. We will definitely be staying here again!

We had the place to ourselves. Both the shower and outhouse were well done and clean. We really appreciated the fact that there was a shower. We had a great view of the lake and were able to launch our kayaks from the dock.

Thoroughly enjoyed this spot. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay instead of going to a new campsite. We had it all to ourselves the full week which was even better. The stars at night over the water and from the fire were phenomenal. Such a serene location. There is a home right behind the sauna and many others nearby which was unexpected but didn’t pose an issue just much less of a secluded campground than initially expected. Great location to travel the UP on day trips.

It was very quiet and peaceful. The outhouse was adequate and the sauna was refreshing. The mosquitoes were horrid,but we put up our screen tent and the breeze from the lake helped keep them at bay. The dogs loved being off leash!

It was a nice and well looked after property, they have a shower and sauna all in one building, spacious places for tent, picnic table and fire ring, you only have to talk to someone by messaging, and they are prompt at responding, we definitely plan on going back, only downside, no WiFi, phone in SOS mode, I’d rather pay a little more for WiFi though. But well worth the stay.

Great trip. We had the place all to ourselves all week. Dogs loved being able to run free and chase chipmunks. Lake did not produce and fish for us but we enjoyed being able to kayak anytime we pleased. Sauna and shower were great perks.
