Beautiful little private lot right along the Menomonee river. Loved having the availability to rent a kayak. Highly recommend traveling up river first, will make your way back to the site a breeze. Kayla was very responsive to any needs or questions. The stars were breathtaking. Great sunset and sunrise. Enjoyed watching all the different varieties of birds come fly over the water. Will definitely be back in the future :) thank you Kayla for sharing such a beautiful unique little spot!

Yep we had a nice time at this location. The host was very attentive to us and met us at the site to make sure everything was OK. The weather was beautiful and it was a relatively quiet place to stay.

Had a lovely night at this campsite. Lovely campsite. Not sure about the toilets, knew there were supposed to be close by but did not get the chance to check it out. Would be great to have at the campsite. Our dog had a blast. Did have some noisy neighbors though, partying till about 2:00 in the morning.

This was our first camping trip as a family. And we’re absolutely stunned with the views and absolute peace. Our dogs were so excited they’ve never slept so much. We’re so excited we hope to come back next summer for a longer stay.

I loved tent camping here! Right on the river, beautiful sunsets and star gazing. River is public access so just be aware it's a fun float spot and people come by. Great for kayaking!
Easy communication with Kayla and will definitely return next UP trip.

The property itself is beautiful however the neighbors are extremely loud almost 24/7- wouldn’t reccommend if you’re looking for solitude or peace. The host also accused me of stealing firewood- which I did not pay for and therefor did not use nor expect to use. Apparently since they leave stacks of firewood all over the property- if you choose not to utilize, it will still be assumed that you used it and you will be asked to pay for it.

This is hands down one of the best camping spots I have ever been to. And let me tell you, I am not one to be amazed easily. Not only was the host quick to respond and always very caring about my experience on her property, but she went out of her way to keep the lines of communication always open through out the Labor Day weekend. The location is straight out of one’s Dream board. It had a kayak available, electricity available, and the views… riverfront.
Just thank you for sharing this. It literally made my birthday one of the best ever. I will be coming back for sure. Just wow.

We loved camping at Kayla’s. She has a beautiful property along the river. So quiet and peaceful. We ordered a wood bundle and it was there waiting for us as well as electricity. We will definitely consider going back.

It was just OK. Camp is located between the front yard of a house (under construction) and a very slow moving river. I've HipCamped for years and this was the first location where I failed to meet any host- although the hostess did text in to say hi. I wished there had been someone on location to tell the neighbors next door to turn down the noise from a party. Not a great experience.

We had a lovey time camping on Kayla’s property. Our dog Cedar enjoyed the spacious lot, we enjoyed the fire pit, river views, and I had a chance to get out fishing. Overall it was wonderful experience. Kayla was quick to respond and her quick responses were appreciated. It’s a transitional site so Saturday was a bit active with the roofers next door but it gave our family a chance to take a trip to the waters of Green Bay. We have a wonderful weekend and would certainly stay again.

Went on my first solo trip camping with my dog so of course I was a bit nervous. I couldn’t have been more pleased. The area was so peaceful and I even got my old man (12 years old) dog to kayak with me for the first time!!! Great experience!! Kayla was super helpful and I felt as though she was there for any questions I had (and I had a lot)

Great communication. Lovely site on the River. Some construction at location, but not while we stayed. Swings and chairs to sit and watch the River. Beautiful place to disconnect!

Loved the view and how close we were to the water. And it wasn’t mucky water; it was perfect for the pups to play in and swim.
There were several areas flat enough for me to pitch my tent (which is sometimes half the barrel). Plenty of shade, firewood was plentiful, and it was just a great overall experience.

It's so hard to find a campsite right on the water - this was a great spot and a great weekend! The host was accommodating and responsive. The neighbors were a bit rowdy, but it wasn't out of hand. Toilets are at the nearby campground a mile down the road, as explained in the description.

What a treat to stay at River's Getaway on the Menominee River, a big lazy river with geese floating serenely by and eagles flying overhead. Kayla has a nice fire pit on the banks of the river and sitting around the fire with moonlight glinting off the water was sublime.

We had a quiet, serene view with vibrant fall colors in the background. The river was so still that the trees were reflected perfectly and the kayaking was wonderful. We had our dogs with us and they loved it too! One of our dogs gets quite nervous about sounds and is usually scared of camp grounds because of all of the noises from other campers. This was the perfect solution, a spot on the river all to our selves that was so perfect and relaxing for all of us. Even the fire wood was perfectly seasoned, no loud pops so our fearful dog was comfortable enough to sit by the flames with us and enjoy the evening. Kayla was very responsive if we had any questions and even had dry fire wood layed out for us under a tarp so that we wouls not have to deal with wet wood as it had been raining on and off. Great host with a quiet, private, relaxing and beautiful spot. Definitely will be back!

Lovely river spot worth exploring. We were only passing through so didn’t have much time and got our morning rained out but enjoyed the night and the amazing fire pit. Saw an eagle in the morning and tons of deer!

Property was a great place to relax. Will definitely book again. Only issue was getting into the driveway with a bigger camper. It is pretty narrow, I had to back into the field across the road and get a straight shot going in. Other than that, it was as advertised. We had a great weekend.

Booked this place late in the day and it was great! Since I arrived at night I couldn't fully tell where i needed to park and where to pitch tent but the host was very responsive to my late texts. There was so much room to move around and the view in the morning was sweet! I wish I could've stayed longer. I would definitely recommend it!

It was a short stay and same day request. Kayla was responsive and understanding. This helped my stay very nice. The location was in a peaceful setting and facing a quiet river. At night we heard owls, and a few other visitors. I would need to come back again and enjoy it fully. Thank you Kayla.
