For an even more exhilarating experience, embark on the Big Smokey Falls Rafting adventure. This 3.5-hour journey takes you through a stunning 30-foot granite canyon, conquering two exhilarating waterfalls and navigating six sets of Class 2-3 rapids. Not only will you create lasting memories, but you'll also support the Menominee Tribe. Enjoy a delicious lunch mid-trip at a Menominee owned and operated snack shack before tackling the rest of the rapids. Inside The Canopy Music Venue, Can be used as a central gathering area for private events, big firepit perfect for large groups to gather. Also is used for Vendors during events Small campers are able to get through road, but it is an endeavor that requires experienced navigators and/or spotters. Guests must arrive Thursday before music events to be able to drive a vehicle to site, vehicles will not be allowed in the area during events. 15B will accommodate up to 3-5 tents & up to 28' camper combos (10+ people could have a very awesome experience here). Wonderful Campsite & Amenities!

We had a group of 9 people at River Forest and it was a wonderful stay from start to finish. The grounds staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, the bathrooms were clean, water was hot, and the space had a great balance of cleared areas for tents and lush treescapes. While we were there, there was also a music festival that was great to pop into, but wasn't so loud that it was distracting on our site. There are also some great activities that we look forward to trying out in warmer months when we come back!

Overall, the site itself was beautiful. However, the staff were not as helpful as we could have hoped for. It was unclear if we had to check in or not as their sign says we absolutely had to. There was no map offered or any explanation on how the campground worked. It felt like pulling teeth to get any answers about the tubing. I was also a little disappointed that not all the amenities offered at this site were actually offered. It says there is wifi, but there was no communication from the campground until we had already checked out. As wifi shouldn't matter, we needed it to keep the partying sounds out of the camper for our dogs. I can appreciate the weekend being rowdy, but to have no quiet hours for multiple nights was ridiculous. Groups of 10+ were able to party with no noise consideration until about 4/5 in the morning. Contradicting the quiet hours advertised. For a last minute find, we were grateful but would not return unless looking for somewhere with loose rules.

We had an amazing time at River Forest. Our site was very big and clean with nice crushed granite throughout. Our large fire pit with natural rocks was perfect for campfire cooking and warming up. The campground was beautifully nestled in the hardwood forest within walking distance of the river and hiking trail. Best of all the owners are extremely kind and helpful 🩷

We had the most amazing and peaceful time at River Forest! The site was lovely with the twinkling lights, and the cabin was so clean and cozy! Amy was kind enough to give us maps, suggestions, and lots of info on where to fish, hike and eat..and Dan was the nicest! He brought a porta potty right to the sight since it was already too cold to use the facilities, and made sure we had more than enough firewood. He also gave us a GREAT food suggestion of a nearby place called Grudgeville Pub and Grub! The food was awesome and the hospitality even better! (Go there!) It was chilly, as we went in early November, but we will DEFINITELY be coming back in the spring and/or summer!!

We had so much fun. Our cabin was very comfortable. Amy and Ralph were very accommodating. They have everything you might need in there convenience store. Tubing was so much fun. However never doing it before I did not realize just how bad you can get beaten up buy the rocks. So keep those butt's up.

The owners are very friendly. The setting and atmosphere of the campgrounds is very nice. We've only stayed there twice but bothe experiences were pleasant. I will definitely recommend it to others and we will be going back there for sure.

Solid site! I don't think I'd want to put 7 tents in here, but it's possible. There were a fair few deep water areas after a SUPER heavy rain. Would have been rough if we were tenting. We had a 24ft travel trailer and a tiny popup and had plenty of room. Hosts were great, and nice to talk to. Rest of the campground looked good. Plenty of room for each site, always at least some trees in between. Every site is heavily forested, which I love. I didn't bring my solar panel, and I'm glad I didn't bother! Wood was bone dry. Bathroom was decent. Baseline campground bathroom, one stall each. Showers are paid with quarters and are separate entrances/rooms. Some of the group went kayaking and sounds like they had a great time. Great place for a group camp!
