**UPDATE AUGUST 2026** Due to significant amount of travel in the coming months, we are switching to "request to book". Please place a request and we will confirm within 24 hours if we will be available to host you. As of April 2026, we experienced massive flooding at our campsite due to rain and snowmelt. We also sustained large tree loss on the property due to an ice storm. Due to this, the area beyond the main campsite is UNAVAILABLE until further notice. That includes the walking trail and swimming area. Main campsite area including fire pit and fishing hole are open. Swimming at the main site is available, but highly recommend water shoes or Crocs due to rocks. ** Celebrating our FOURTH year of hosting in 2026!! NEW for 2026 is access to electrical, as well as a NEW picnic table!** **Due to several inquiries, We DO allow campers to camp in their vehicles down by the site if you have 4WD. Park at your own risk** New market items for sale on site, delivered right to your campsite including fresh, free-range chicken eggs 🐓 đŸ„š, fresh baked Amish style bread, local coffee, homemade jelly, jugs of water, and more! We are a short 15 minute drive from the nearest town for any essentials. We have a wooded 4 acre homestead, with plenty of areas to set up your tent. Trash bin, fire ring, and 4 Adirondack chairs are available. We have one main site at the base of the dam, where the grass is mowed and maintained. You are able to see our homestead from the river bottom, but natural foliage such as large ferns and trees block our view from the home most of the year, so there is privacy. **Please note that while we only have one site to ensure a private camping experience, the dam and land across the dam is public and is used for fishing and putting kayaks in/out** Our water frontage is shallow, between 1-3 feet, and mostly sandy/rocky. Highly suggest water shoes for ease of walking and swimming. If you’re more adventurous, kayaks and a canoe are available for rent and can be put in on either side of the dam. Tubes are also available for rent and can be used for a 45 minute float or a 3 hour float down the Little Plover River. It’s not uncommon to spot Bald Eagles, turtles, otter, and deer on our stretch of the river. The site is a short 3-minute walk from our main home where we try to be available to field any questions or address emergencies. Shores are quiet and mostly undeveloped. We are a 15 minute drive to Stevens Point, and a 25 minute drive to Wausau. Firewood available for purchase on site (please see extras for information). Extras can be paid for via QR code for PayPal or Venmo if not added during check out. Additional Information Regarding Location: -Please note we are in a remote area; cell service is not guaranteed. -We have a running hobby farm with free-range chickens, so it's possible you may hear our roosters. -We do have shelter available if extreme weather occurs. Must contact prior to utilizing. -Lastly, if you stay during the weekday, there is an active lumber mill in close proximity to our home and you may hear them during their work hours during the week. They are closed during weekends.

This was our second time staying at Riverside Roost and I can’t write enough good things about it. The hosts are amazing, the communication is exceptional, and the little extras made us feel so welcome. Despite some rain, we fished, swam, kayaked, built a fire and more. It’s a great location with plenty of space for 8 of us and multiple tents/pop-ups. We’ll be back again next summer. Only advice is to bring good bug spray! The flies and mosquitos are plentiful.

We had such a wonderful stay at Bentley Dam campground! The grounds were very clean, well maintained, and peaceful—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The beautiful river was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a great time kayaking and river tubing, and the scenery along the water was absolutely lovely. A special touch was having fresh farm eggs delivered right to our campsite. The host was also very responsive and replied promptly whenever we had questions, which made everything easy and stress-free. We would definitely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a fun, comfortable, and memorable getaway in Wisconsin!

The site was absolutely gorgeous! The bread and jelly are delicious as well! Katie obviously has some experience being outdoors, and had a very accommodating experience for any type of camper. The toilet was very clean and well stocked! The dam and surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous, and the pike are insanely aggressive to the rapallas I was using! I must’ve caught at least 15-20 from the shore on the first day!

This is our second time at the Dam. We loved it so much the first time that we added another day this year. Do yourself a favor and order all the extras! The eggs are delightful & the bread is amazing. Take fishing poles!

We had such a wonderful time at Riverside Roost! The campsite right along the river is stunning and the fresh eggs, bread, & jam were delicious. If you are a big critter fan this is the spot for you! Lots of frogs, fish, turtles, crawdads, bugs, etc. as well as the chickens that wander around! Paddling along the water is a treat and the dam, albeit a little noisy, brought a nice cool air to the site. The campsite itself is nestled into the property and I think it’s a great site, though if you want more options for walking trails/exploring I’d utilize the plenty of parks and public sites in the area as well. We can’t wait to come back!

we had an amazing time at Kelli’s campsite!! everything was so beautiful and well maintained. We got a wheelbarrow of wood which was perfect for us! We loved saying hi to the chickens. She was very kind and accommodating. Would love to come back soon!!

Relaxing and pretty secluded. This was the 2nd time returning and I decided to stay sun-fri. We saw, maybe 2 other people there. Still very very low to no light pollution to do stargazing weather permitting of course. Kelli reached out more than a few times to make sure we were doing ok and if we needed anything and to make sure to let her know if we did. Great hosts. We definitely be back next year.

Kelli did such an awesome job hosting us! It was an amazing place to camp and we will definitely be back! I highly recommend the Amish bread and home grown eggs! Huge fire pit and the dam provided the best atmosphere ever. The stargazing at night was just the cherry on top!

We had a fantastic camping experience. Kelli has put a lot of work & thoughtfulness into the site. Do yourself a favor and order her homemade bread! It was still warm when we arrived. We recommend opting for the full wheelbarrow of wood! It’s pleasant to sit around the campfire and listen to the dam sounds, pared with watching the birds dive into the water for fish. The river was pleasant to kayak down even in 50/60° weather. Coming back up to the launch site was a great work out!

We loved our stay at River Roost!! It was magical hearing the waterfall by the Dam, the view is amazing. Kelli your host is awesome, so attentive, kind, and makes the best Amish Bread and Jam, we loved the farm fresh eggs . We wanted a private, romantic getaway to unplug and it was everything we hoped for! We will be back

What a GREAT camp site. Next to a water fall and gentle river. It was like a noise machine which both of my kiddos need. We had friends and put all the kids down at 7, then sat at the fire for an extended meaningful conversation time. Kelli was AWESOME, and very communicative. Thanks for caring for us!

This campsite was magical! Our party of 8, including 4 kids, enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and sitting around the fire. Kelli is a phenomenal host; very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We took advantage of the opportunity to purchase homemade bread and jam and it was amazing. The mosquitos were biting but so were the northern! Bring bug spray and fishing poles and you’ll be set. We will definitely camp here again.

Loved the setting. If you love fishing right next to your tent. This is the place. The dam area holds a lot of different fish species. Very to no light pollution. If the sky's clear, the stary sky is amazing. The dam can be a little loud but if you like that kinda white noise to sleep. Won't be a problem. Highly recommended. The hosts were amazing and never felt unwanted or rushed. Will definitely be back.

Cant recommend this site enough. The host was very accommodating. The site was beautiful! Great fishing opportunity for the boys! My son wanted to go camping with his friends for his 16th birthday and had a great time. The host even put up a "Happy Birthday" banner for him❀❀ so sweet. This will definitely be our go to next year for the boys to get together again!

Perfect little spot! The weather wasn't entirely in our favor the whole trip, but we were still able to use the kayaks and explore a bit! We loved the free-range chicken visitors that would pop in every once in awhile, and overall the mosquitoes were almost non existent which was a plus as well.

I loved the area. It is beautiful and we were able to enjoy our stay there in perfect weather. The eggs were delicious and we caught trout, perch, and pike at the dam beside us. We went kayaking up the pond and saw lots of turtles and red winged black birds. We would 100% camp here again.

My fiancĂ© and I had an amazing time! This was our very first Hipcamp experience, and it definitely won’t be our last! Kelli was a wonderful host, periodically checking in with us through the app to make sure we had everything we needed. If you’re considering it, I HIGHLY recommend adding the fresh-baked bread. It was absolutely delicious and still warm from the oven when we arrived. We also rented a couple of kayaks and set out hoping to catch a few fish
 and the number of northerns we pulled in was crazy. Such a fun and memorable trip. We’ll absolutely be back!

This my family's second trip to Kelli and Patrick's camp site and it was another wonderful experience. Such a cool setting and the boys can keep busy with fishing. The kayaks are also a nice touch. Kayaking upstream is easy and safe even with kids. Would 100% recommend this place. Already looking at a 3rd trip. Don't forget your water shoes! The location has a swimmable area.

My first ever HipCamp and Kelli's land made it a memorable one. Very responsive and offerings were beyond expectations. Her bread makes some delicious ham and cheese sandwhiches over the fire! Definitely felt like I had the place to myself with lots of wildlife; saw a few deer, tons of different birds and some fish that would periodically jump out of the water. Took a trip up the river with a kayak and saw a handful of bald eagles as well. If you're looking for a weekend to unplug and be in nature, this is a great spot!
