2 nights at River View Get Away

There is nothing like waking up to an absolutely gorgeous view of a peaceful river. Kathy and Randy have put a tremendous amount of love and hard work into this campsite, and it shows! Massive level gravel site that has tons of room to maneuver (we have an F150 and an 14’ camper) and still maintains patches of shade trees. Without a doubt, the cleanest, freshest smelling, cutest port-a-potty in the ENTIRE world. They had two solar shower bags filled and ready for us to use and a shower/changing tent all set up. There were so many other thoughtful amenities including solid wooden picnic tables and benches along the river (no wobbly plastic junk here) and sunken fire pits. We felt safe and secure. Our travel pup, Molly, had a grand time sniffing around and watching the fish jumping in the water. She gives River View: Five Paws. 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾 Our only problem was that we didn’t have more time to spend here. Book this site - you won’t be sorry!!

Weekend Trip to River View Get Away

Really loved staying at Kathy’s site! The setting was quiet and peaceful and made for the perfect escape on a busy holiday weekend. We loved being able to drop the kayak in the water. There are a couple good spots for tent camping and the site was great for my pup. The porta-John was clean super and—dare I say—cute! Come with bug spray and keep an eye out for ticks (which is true anywhere) but, like other reviewers noted, the gravel helps with the mosquitos. Kathy was so kind and considerate, checking on us due to possible storms in the area. Hoping to come back again soon!

I loved this spot! It was easy to find, get to and set up. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the site. It was really beautiful to wake up and always hear the stream in the background. I really enjoyed it.

Nicely maintained campground with every amenity you might need/want. We went early in the week and beat the holiday weekend crowds. The campground was quiet and other campers were very respectful. The only down side to our site, was it was located right at the bottom of the drive behind the main building, and when the rains came, all the water flowed right down the drive and our site developed a small river through it. the fire pit took in some of the water and made getting a fire started the next night, difficult. It also made the main area of the spot pretty wet and dirty. Can't help a rainy day, but maybe some sort of way to keep all the water from running into a site? That was only the one brief downside to our stay. Would go back, just would ask for a different site.

Weekend Trip to UP Glamping Getaway LLC

I stayed in the Yurt. In my opinion this is what HipCamp is all about. Private, clean, lots of little extras like solar lights, candles, and furniture. That shower is COLD as advertised.

This was a great camp spot! It was very clean, quiet and a good distance from town. Lots of firewood provided! The grass was cut well and the ground stayed solid and easy to drive around in the rain. There was plenty of room to maneuver our 20” camper around. It was peaceful and I enjoyed the little slice of wilderness around us!

So come on up and join us for a relaxing week or just a weekend.Camp in our nicely furnished tent cabins, Site #1 ( Bri's Hideaway) is furnished with a queen bed, love seat and refrigerator. Site #2 ( Adam's Getaway ) is furnished with a full bed, 1 cot style bunk beds and a refrigerator. We recommend bringing sleeping bags for both sites during the cool weather camping, we furnish some blankets but may not be adequate for the chilly nights in the later season. We are right on the ATV trails, with many lakes, rivers and trout streams close by. There is whitewater rafting nearby for the trill seekers. In 2021, the Pepin County Land Conservation and Planning Department enhanced accessibility by utilizing a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to purchase ADA-compliant picnic tables, an ADA dock with a kayak launch, and other essential ADA equipment. Looking ahead, in 2023, the Pepin County Land Conservation and Planning Department secured a DNR Grant aimed at upgrading facilities. Construction is set to commence at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, bringing modern flush toilet bathrooms, showers, and improved drinking water access to the campground. Hike to Eagle Bluff to see the historic lighthouse that oversees this part of Green Bay. Bring your binoculars and camera for the most beautiful view in this entire Wisconsin state park. The lighthouse, built in 1868, is pretty cool, too.

Launch your boat and head to Horseshoe Island out in the bay. There, you'll see foundations of buildings from the 1890s. A hiking trail takes you all around the island. The only way to get here is by private boat.

Bike through 5.1 miles of woods thanks to Sunset Bike Trail. The trail is paved and has gravel, which makes it easy to follow. Dangle your feet in the bay after your ride to cool off. Find a secluded spot along the 8 miles of shoreline.

Practice your golf game at the 18-hole golf course. Many golfers consider this course to be the most scenic in Wisconsin. Watch out for the pesky 8th hole. It's just 69 yards, but you have to fire a shot over a bluff and onto the green.

This park is just awesome. The best in Wisconsin. Be careful with long units. Tennison Bay and Weborg are the best for longer units.
