This is a beautiful jewel! It’s on a little river, well maintained, groomed and quiet! No RV hook ups but the owner works hard at providing for your needs!! She has bags of solar heated water with soap for any cleaning up you may need. There’s even a port-a-potty there if needed. Firewood is also available. We even had fish food sitting on the riverside bench to feed the fish. Very friendly & helpful owners!
We REALLY enjoyed our overnight stay!!

This spot is beautiful and spacious! Kathy and Randy are outstanding hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed, and enjoyed our stay. There are so many small touches that make this campsite special. The area looks magical with all the solar lights strung up and placed throughout the site. There is a container of fish food provided to feed the enthusiastic fish. Even the port-a-potty is welcoming-clean, outfitted with floor mats, and covered inside with fun stickers from around upper Michigan. Our family deeply enjoyed our time here. If we come through this area again, we will definitely be staying at this site again!
This place is what you're looking for if you're looking for quiet, serene, and private. Clean, spacious, and very pretty. Kathy and Randy were gracious and kind beyond the limit of hosting. Feeding the fish was a bonus! 15/10 would recommend.
2nd time staying here. It's soooo relaxing and a perfect spot to get away, but still very close to everything you need. The place is huge and well maintained. The new picnic table was a plus. Will definitely stay here again. Hosts are very nice and great to deal with.
Great spot for tent camping. We had the place to ourselves which was really nice. I wouldn't want to be there when people were at the other site though. It just wouldn't be private enough. The hostess was extremely nice and checked in on us. Everything about the spot was just as described and the setting couldn't be prettier especially at night when the lights come on on the property. Great spot to see tons of stars too.
Absolutely planning to visit this site again! The owners are very pleasant, quick to message, respond and provide amenities. Tucked away spot if you don't know its there you would miss it. Big and open area, great for big groups. Right on the river so we brought our kayaks and dipped it. The area has beautiful hiking trails and places to explore. 10/10 recommend booking!

We had a great time! This camp site exceeded our expectations!! It’s a beautiful site, meticulously clean, and very spacious. We enjoyed birds, turtles laying eggs and looking at beautiful flowers. Kathy was very attentive to our needs and questions. We will definitely be back! Next time we will bring our kayaks!
This site is absolutely amazing! Super spacious, great sun and shade options. There is nice fire pits and picnic tables and the cleanest ports-potty I’ve ever seen. My wife and I loved sitting by the river and watching our dog play in it all day. Kathy is a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed. I would absolutely recommend this site to anyone looking for a spacious and private spot to relax.
We had an amazing stay at River View Get Away. The site was peaceful, private, and exactly what we were looking for. We often travel during busy holiday weekends, so having the space almost entirely to ourselves was such a refreshing change.
Kathy was one of the most welcoming hosts we’ve ever met. She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, shared helpful information about the property, and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our stay. We even had a funny mix-up with the firewood payment, and she handled it with so much kindness and humor.
The campsite was well-maintained, quiet, and perfect for relaxing by the river, fishing, and unwinding. My husband said before we even left that this is his favorite campsite we’ve stayed at and that we’d absolutely come back.
Thank you, Kathy and Randy, for creating such a special place. We can’t wait to return!

I tent camped at Kathy's land for 5 days with my two dogs. The site was well maintained, very large, and absolutely beautiful! My dogs loved swimming in the river and running around the property. It was completely private and I had my dogs off leash the whole time. Kathy was very helpful and friendly, and she even recommended going hiking at Pier's Gorge that was about 30 minutes away. It was a very peaceful week away from the city ❤️

From the moment we booked, Kathy was an outstanding host — incredibly responsive, clear with directions, and genuinely invested in making sure we had everything we needed. She even pointed us toward the Piers Gorge Scenic Hiking Trail, which was absolutely worth it (highly recommend!).
The site itself blew us away. It's spacious with plenty of room to spread out, and everything was thoughtfully set up. The firewood was right there and ready to go — such a convenient touch. The porta potty was honestly the nicest I've ever seen, complete with a little night light for those late-night trips. And the twinkle lights? They gave the whole space the most magical, cozy ambiance.
We spent hours relaxing in the hammocks, gathered around the fire, and listening to the frogs at night — pure bliss. The peaceful river nearby has us dreaming about coming back to kayak and explore even more of the property.
This place is a hidden gem, and Kathy is the kind of host who makes it truly special. We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your beautiful property and giving us a sister trip we will treasure forever. 🌿🔥✨

Kathy was amazing! We decided to take a chance and tent camp in late October. The site is very peaceful and she built firewood up for our first fire upon arrival. We left many things behind on the days we traveled to fish or hike with no worries. The river and woods are peaceful. Appreciate the water she leaves to clean hands and cookware! Look forward to returning and camping next year. Thank you Kathy and Randy!
Don’t let the entrance fool you - this site is on par with having a county park all to yourself. Solid and maintained amenities. Maybe cutest porta john in existence.

We really enjoyed this site. It was private, secluded and well maintained. Kathy and her husband were very kind and attentive, and they did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable, including driving over to unplug some of the fairy lights so we could have darkness near our tent. The only negative feeling I have regarding this site is the traffic noise, it is VERY loud and noticeable, it got a little better at night, but still obvious. I feel like it's just something to be aware of. We would come here again though, no doubt.
My dogs and I had a fantastic stay car camping at this site. I spent most of my time paddleboarding in the river and I would highly recommend this site to folks who enjoy paddle sports. The water was clear with a muddy bottom. Feeding the fish was definitely a highlight! There was plenty of shade and grassy areas for me to exercise my dogs. I had no issues with bugs; not even mosquitoes. I didn't have to wear any bug repellant. There was no grill grate or tripod for cooking so keep that in mind. The site is a bit noisy, you can hear the nearby highway traffic, lawn mowing and train. I came on a Saturday and there were gunshots going off until dark (maybe a shooting range nearby?) But those are things the host can't change. I brought a white noise machine along and that helped a lot. Overall I had a fantastic time at this site and can't wait to come back.
Camping at Riverside was a wonderful get away for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The spot is private and wonderfully manicured. It was great to have a Porta Potty onsite, and the shower bags were a good sent for rinsing off and cleaning up dishes. Kathy and Randy were friendly, and responsive. Our pup Kitty LOVES the river! Having access to firewood on site was another plus! We will definitely be back if we are in the area!

This was our 2nd time staying here and we highly recommend it. It is a great place, well maintained, private and perfect place to bring dogs that aren't use to being around tons of people or on leash. Its a safe place to post up and go explore Norway, Iron Mountain and much more. Kathy and Randy are amazing hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them again this year.

This was such a wonderful site. There was a lot of time put in to it. I was pleasantly surprised that there were not a lot of bugs. My favorite thing was the hammocks they have by the water. You also can feed the trout in the river! I plan on coming back next year!
We had such a wonderful stay at Kathy and Randy’s riverside camp spot! You can tell they truly care about their land and about creating a welcoming experience for their guests. The property is beautifully maintained, and the thoughtful amenities made the night so comfortable—from the clean port-a-potty to the stocked firewood, solar string lights that came on at dusk, and even a shower/changing tent with warm sun-soaked water bags ready to use.
The river was calm and peaceful, and it was the perfect setting for our dog’s very first night camping (she loved being able to roam off leash!). We fell asleep to the sounds of the river and woke up to birdsong, with hummingbirds visiting the flowers and trout swimming in the clear water nearby.
This place has so much to offer if you’re looking for a quiet, well-cared-for spot to connect with nature. We’re so grateful for our stay and for such kind and passionate hosts!
Great little beautiful get away. Since kathy and Randy decided to change it to only one site. Lots and lots of room. Awesome ambiance with the lights that they had hung up. Both Kathy and Randy were very nice and very welcoming people! Would definitely recommend. Will come back. Awesome place!

There is nothing like waking up to an absolutely gorgeous view of a peaceful river. Kathy and Randy have put a tremendous amount of love and hard work into this campsite, and it shows! Massive level gravel site that has tons of room to maneuver (we have an F150 and an 14’ camper) and still maintains patches of shade trees. Without a doubt, the cleanest, freshest smelling, cutest port-a-potty in the ENTIRE world. They had two solar shower bags filled and ready for us to use and a shower/changing tent all set up. There were so many other thoughtful amenities including solid wooden picnic tables and benches along the river (no wobbly plastic junk here) and sunken fire pits. We felt safe and secure. Our travel pup, Molly, had a grand time sniffing around and watching the fish jumping in the water. She gives River View: Five Paws. 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾
Our only problem was that we didn’t have more time to spend here. Book this site - you won’t be sorry!!
Really loved staying at Kathy’s site! The setting was quiet and peaceful and made for the perfect escape on a busy holiday weekend. We loved being able to drop the kayak in the water. There are a couple good spots for tent camping and the site was great for my pup. The porta-John was clean super and—dare I say—cute! Come with bug spray and keep an eye out for ticks (which is true anywhere) but, like other reviewers noted, the gravel helps with the mosquitos. Kathy was so kind and considerate, checking on us due to possible storms in the area. Hoping to come back again soon!

Great clean site , Kathy was a great person to meet . Thanks to her and her husband Randy they made the stay there so much more enjoyable for my little brother . Will definitely be coming back in the summer with him again . Not just for the camping but to meet these wonderful people again as well.
