Cloverleaf Farms DC Meadow Maze was created with special needs families, the chronically ill, and terminal patients in mind. We offer a rural farm experience directly across the road from a world-class cheese operation. Spend time in nature roughing it primitive-style in our field maze, and then enjoy amazing breakfast sandwiches from the bistro across the way. Alternatively, you can enjoy farm-fresh eggs cooked over your own campfire. We accommodate RVs, tents, and car campers. We have one specific spot for cars that faces west and offers a beautiful sunrise location. Our field camping area has two groomed spots: one includes a fire pit, and the other is more rustic, facing northeast where the eagles fly. Please specify which style of camping you prefer when booking. We expect our visitors to interact and spend time on the farm. Our experience is designed to give you an up-close and personal encounter with the animals who call this farm home. We provide an eco-toilet that we compost ourselves. If you have another plan for managing waste, please communicate with us prior to booking so we can ensure everyone is maintaining sanitary conditions. Please note that there are wild rabbits, birds, snakes, spiders, crickets, butterflies, worms, and moths, plus seasonal mosquitoes. This is their home; you are the visitor. If you are unable to handle this level of nature, please consider booking elsewhere. We do not "clean up" nature; we allow you to experience it. Please be respectful. This is a wild, rustic, and rural experience with fantastic views in a unique location. If you are tired of noisy campgrounds, you will find it very quiet here. Though we are located immediately off Highway 57, the road disappears against the backdrop of nature. We also have one single bed available for the right person seeking a farm experience. Since this room is located within our home, additional vetting is required prior to occupancy.

Eagle's Nest Rustic Tent Ecotourism

One rustic camp site located at the most eastern point of our triangular farmstead that overlooks a local eagles nest. We groom this location for tent camping only. The eagles fly daily.. Sometimes they circle overhead. Lay down in tall grass if you dare. They do hunt here. Small site, no bigger than 2 individuals. Dogs welcome. Your dog won't scare the eagles. This year we're hoping to upgrade this tent site with an in ground fire pit. At this posting there's no fire. You will need to provide your own method for cooking food until we can prepare a fire pit. We're thawing out after a blizzard, so we'll update when the fire pit is ready for guests. This can be a really windy location. In case of winds in excess of 20 mph, we have 2 more protected locations we'll be grooming for tent usage, in case guests require a more sheltered location.

Meadow Maze Rustic Farm Camp

Center Ring in the field maze is a groomed rustic camping spot. Originally developed with special needs, chronically ill or terminally ill patients in mind. Private, quiet with a fire pit suitable for cooking. The spot can be a bit wind swept depending on the weather. We offer secondary or tertiary locations in the event of high winds. The location is also suitable for parking an RV or camper van. Recommend facing away from the Cheese factory, as previous campers have suggested the lighting from the factory is uncomfortable. Again, this is their home. The Cheese is the literally the Best prize winning cheese on the planet... No complaints or ye won't be invited back. No haggling over the price of firewood. It is what it is. If you need wood, we will be happy to locally source wood for you. No burning of outsourced wood on our property. We are growing mushrooms and don't want any foreign contaminants.. Spend time with the mushroom logs and you will agree that this is simply a mycology "best practice". We have access to long burning Cherry Wood from a local orchard we know and trust. You will be issued ONE eco toilet that is a 5-gallon bucket loaded with natural materials in which to deposit your human waste. We will be recycling your materials and using them sustainably on our farm. This is not optional. ***Should you have a different toilet plan, please contact the farm prior to booking to ensure we're appraised of your human waste disposal method*** The farm has One bathroom with hot water and shower. Recently renovated, the farmhouse is over a hundred years old. This is not the Grand Hilton, if you want bougie smoothie, the Northern Door is full of places that would love to accommodate you. We're an Old farm run by Oldish people, be kind and be clean. Take a shower. We have the only Disco themed bathroom in Door County.

Sunrise Park & Ride 57N AmazingView

Located at the Northern most tip of our property, facing West is a spectacular morning sunrise view that just so happens to be the very end of South Cloverleaf Road off shoot where the road dead ends... Only it's a sweet end because not only does the farmhouse have amazing eggs, the Cheese factory has amazing breakfast sandwiches and opens at 7 am! Perfect spot for a caravan or car van or smaller RV to park for the night and then take off for your next adventure. We've hosted on this spot previously and it's a different kind of a bird's eye view of Southern Door County in motion. Recommend this spot for those travelers not looking for much more than a parking spot for the night and a great sunrise view in the morning. This spot doesn't come with a fire pit, but there's a communal fire pit in the farmyard. Wood is local Cherry from a neighboring orchard and is $6 a bundle, non negotiable. You will be issued ONE eco toilet that is a 5-gallon bucket loaded with natural materials in which to deposit your human waste.
