"The Twenty" is a neat campsite right on the Little Wolf River. This land has been in my family for generations. My dad tells stories of fishing the holes while they made hay when he was a kid. Definitely fishing opportunities, as well as floating down the river (tube, canoe, kayak, sup). There's a nice swimming hole right out from the campsite. The other property is on my pasture-based farm. It's a few miles from the Little Wolf. There is the "FarmStay" Camper, as well as a couple campsites nestled in the woods with a great views of the pastures, woods, and wetlands. We've also recently added a pond that's able to be used by our guests to swim in! There are 100+ acres that can explored on this 100% pasture-based beef operation. We're working on improving the trails. It's beautiful out there! Farm tours and canoe/tube rental available. The surrounding area has a TON of activities to offer for water fun and exploring! The first time we viewed this property, we knew we were home. The woods, fields, wildlife, and house (created almost entirely from the lumber harvested from the land) drew us in. We purchased the home and 40 acres in 2018. Since then it has been a labor of love to make it everything we dream. A campground suitable for horseback riding was the goal for W15266. This was where the original homestead stood (firepit area). That home was transported across 95 on Davis road to become an Amish home. This area was overgrown and filled with rubbish, but still had a great deal of suitable plants hidden in the raspberries. We are continually working to groom it, and eventually, hope to better level the drive and sites and cover them with gravel. We need more and better fire pits and intend to have at least one more cabin- perhaps created from a refurbished corn crib? This cabin was refurbished in 2020 from the original homestead’s summer kitchen (where food was prepared to keep the house from getting too warm). Although it may have been easier to demolish and start over, Julie convinced Craig that the history was worth it. ;) I can’t tell you how disGUSTING it was, but we found treasures like the chair upstairs, the ironing board, and items on the walls and cupboards amongst the piles of Asian beetles and mouse chewings. Our current project you see in front is the bath/shower house. It has a toilet and shower and was completed 2021. With expansion, we will add one more toilet on the other side. The old shed in front, is a disaster. We fluctuate the same way we did with the summer kitchen: bulldoze or refurbish? It currently houses our equipment and lumber, but someday, we are hoping to have a small country Tiki bar. Craig has received the liquor license already. We love tucked away country bars with unique flavors, so we hope we can offer this to our customers. Jeske Equestrian is also a boarding/training facility. We built the horse barn in 2019, and last year we put up a 60x180 indoor riding arena. Maintaining and creating trails has been extensive. Keeping up on the signage and the trail map has been nearly impossible since Craig loves creating new ones with the skid steer on a regular basis! We are working on the pond area to be more recreational in our future as well. Thanks again for choosing us. We hope to see you again! Most weekends we have live music. We are in Amish country with many small shops. There are also wineries and cheese stores close by. We have a wedding and event barn and lots of space. New in 2023 was a 9 hole disc golf.

Weekend Trip to Wildwood in Boulder Junction

Good place to park if you are interested in the bike trails in the area. Directly across from the trail head that leads to Boulder Junction and the trail to Manitowish Waters. Was very quiet for my stay. Only amenities are water and electric.

Overall, it was a great time. we camped on one of the electric only sites, and had a great time cooking and having a bon fire. Each site has a picnic table, and lake wisota state park is just up the road

Great place! Even has a gated entrance for security. Quiet and quaint and had everything we needed and wanted. We were tenting and thankful many of the sites included a car canopy which came in handy when it rained. Hosts were friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Uncle Ben’s Camping

Ben is super nice!! The spot was awesome! Good trails and shower and bathroom!! We did not end up staying there because it is a hike too site. You can not drive up, we came with the plans of car camping. There was nothing in the description that said hike back or drive up so I just assumed. That’s on me. I should have clarified with Ben! If I am ever in the area I would definitely book with him again…and bring a tent! It would have been a beautiful spot to camp. I would also like to mention that it is very close to a major expressway and you will hear it. I am sure if the creek would have been higher so the rapids would have been running you might not hear the traffic as much!

2 nights at Cedar Hills Campground

My partner and I loved tent camping at Cedar Hills! Directions were clear and thorough. There weren’t many tent campers. We got a beautiful site with a view of the valley and no direct neighbors. Dennis was super responsive and accommodating. He checked in with us and even offered us some extra ice. We appreciated the freedom of a clothing-optional campground and just the peace and quiet and good vibes overall. About a 20 minute drive from the Wisconsin river and 30 minutes from the House on the Rock. One of both of our favorite camping experiences we’ve had. We plan to return!

3 nights at Bouressa Family Farm

Beautiful site and Rachel is an amazing host. We had an issue with the porta potty and she was out the next morning to resolve it herself. My dogs enjoyed running free in around thr river. The directions the host gave to the property were spot on. I just threw a pin where she said it was located and Google maps pretty much took me right there. Thank you for being so accommodating and responsive!

Weekend Trip to Pink River Ranch in the Driftless

The Pink River Ranch is a cool little place to stay. Our campsite was a serene, picturesque spot along the river, and we enjoyed watching the highland cows go about their day. The walk from our car was short, and the walk to the bathrooms wasn't bad either. Nicer bathrooms than most places you'll camp. There's actually some pretty interesting stuff to see in the nearby towns too. We definitely recommend staying here.
