The lake tends to be weedy during warm summers. There are places to swim nearby, so if you are booking with the sole intent of being able to swim, please be aware that this is likely not the best site for you unless you are willing to drive to a nearby beach.

Agate campsite previously featured a "look out point" that has been altered by the natural erosion of the red clay banks that comprise much of Lake Superior's south shore. While you can still access this area, doing so will require more effort and care, and we no longer allow camping on the point. The Chippewa County Forest (over 10,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead is located about 5 miles away. You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. LIST OF SITES (all of our sites now include a portable toilet, firewood, fire ring, water, power, picnic table and/or chairs). BIRCH Waterfront is named for the beautiful birch trees that frame your view of the lake that also includes soothing evening loon sounds :) It is our medium size campsite with a level gravel and grass pad with lakefront access via the long wooded dock and an included row boat for fishing and boating. EAGLE POINT Waterfront is a favorite because it is the most private, surrounded by trees and is on a elevated waterfront lot with steps down to a dock. This site has a canoe and a row boat and the best spectacular sunset views. The eagle's nest is in a tall pine tree above the steps! BOB LAKE WEST Waterfront is our only site that is not on this dead end road. It is located on the west side of the lake near the boat landing. This site has a bonus small storage shed which could be a cool kids cabin. It is partially wooded elevated site with stunning sunrise views. WOODED RUSTIC is a non-waterfront campsite for both tents or RV's that has been updated to a site with power and water and includes access to the lake and a row boat at our common access which is only about 200 yards down the road from this site. RV's can park on the gravel pad and tent guests can setup down the walking trail in the woods. This property was previously owned by Trapper Art who was well known in the area and started several successful businesses dating back to 1967 including Art's Snowmobile, Trapper Arts, and Art's Electric which was quite an accomplishment in the Wisconsin Northwoods!

Located on a 1/4 mile long dead-end road (except Bob Lake West) on a 90 acre lake and only 5 minutes from the Chippewa County Forest! The Chippewa County Forest (over 10,000 acres) Hickory Ridge Trailhead is located about 5 miles away. You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. Trails wind past small lakes and beaver ponds, as well as spectacular vistas and abundant wild life. LIST OF SITES (all of our sites now include a portable toilet, firewood, fire ring, water, power, picnic table and/or chairs). BIRCH Waterfront is named for the beautiful birch trees that frame your view of the lake that also includes soothing evening loon sounds :) It is our medium size campsite with a level gravel and grass pad with lakefront access via the long wooded dock and an included row boat for fishing and boating. EAGLE POINT Waterfront is a favorite because it is the most private, surrounded by trees and is on a elevated waterfront lot with steps down to a dock. This site has a canoe and a row boat and the best spectacular sunset views. The eagle's nest is in a tall pine tree above the steps! BOB LAKE WEST Waterfront is our only site that is not on this dead end road. It is located on the west side of the lake near the boat landing. This site has a bonus small storage shed which could be a cool kids cabin. It is partially wooded elevated site with stunning sunrise views. WOODED RUSTIC is a non-waterfront campsite for both tents or RV's that has been updated to a site with power and water and includes access to the lake and a row boat at our common access which is only about 200 yards down the road from this site. RV's can park on the gravel pad and tent guests can setup down the walking trail in the woods. This property was previously owned by Trapper Art who was well known in the area and started several successful businesses dating back to 1967 including Art's Snowmobile, Trapper Arts, and Art's Electric which was quite an accomplishment in the Wisconsin Northwoods!

Our recent stay at Kriss and Shannon’s amazing farm was one of the most unique and memorable camping experiences we’ve ever had. They’ve done an incredible job creating a welcoming, and interesting farm environment, that feels both relaxing and inspiring. The camping options offered us as much privacy as we wanted, but more often we found ourselves happily spending time with our hosts—learning about the area, their farm operations, and their involvement in conservation and education programs. We were lucking to have had the pleasure of meeting their son, Eli, over coffee and muffins on the porch. He helped us map out a perfect day trip to Monroe and New Glarus, along with a short but awesome hike at Yellowstone Lake. Such an interesting and memorable stay. We will absolutely be back.

My fiancé and I had the best time! Kriss and Shannon are the nicest hosts and have created the most beautiful and relaxing property imaginable. Even on a cold October evening we were super cozy in our camper van. The sauna is a must, as are the delicious baked treats Kriss makes from scratch every morning. There is no kitchen so you can’t cook, but there is a fridge if you wanna bring cold food. All the animals; the sheep, the chickens, the dogs, and especially the adorable cats, are so sweet and approachable. We’re already planning our next visit!

I really enjoyed this campsite, it has truly breathtaking views of the lake and you can’t beat a beach fire! It was very peaceful, even with the other cabins being occupied. We ended up arriving later than planned so it was dark, and still the maps, signs, and trails were very easy to follow. The lodge with the showers and sauna is a HUGE bonus. The cabin and outhouse were very well maintained and very clean, my entire group commented their enthusiasm on that. Overall a great spot and I can’t wait to plan another trip back!

If you are looking for privacy, this site is IT! The campsite is essentially at the very end of one of the many paths on the property. Some parts of the path are harder to navigate if you are using any of the carts provided to haul your gear. There are a few spots with large roots that make it a challenge. However, there’s a stunning overlook shortly before the campsite where we watched the sunset over Lake Superior. The sound of the waves were so peaceful to fall asleep to. It was easily accommodated to our dog as well, he had a great time on his first camping trip! We greatly enjoyed celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary here.

The secluded site is approximately 100-200 yard walk in the woods from the main area. The main area has a gravel pad for parking and a fire pit with picnic table under a small pergola. The Pemebonwon River runs through the upper right corner of the property. The entrance is monitored with security camera to deter trespassing. What's nearby: 3 minutes from BP gas station near Hwy 8 and 141. 5 minutes from Bait shop and Restaurants.  We are located in an area that has great hiking trails, mountain biking, trout streams, wildlife and scenic beauty. Less than a half mile from Lundgren Lake (10 minute walk) and 1.5 miles from Lindquist Lake.  Approximately 10+ minutes from Long Slide Falls (Walking Trail), Dave’s Falls, and Smalley Falls. Approximately 20 minutes from 12 Foot Falls, Horseshoe Falls (Equestrian Trails), and Morgan County Park. Approximately 30 minutes from Goodman County Park and Mc Clintock County Park. It's just one site near the lake. The driveway is an easement that runs from Bertram Road across my neighbor's property and continues on past my property to the next two properties. Located on a dead end road near Maiden Lake, Whispering Woods is private and secluded. Whispering Woods has a beautiful crystal clear creek flowing through it that leads to a private no motor lake. Enjoy fishing for panfish right off the pier or use the paddle boat provided to meander down the creek and catch rock bass. The lake is known for panfish, bass, walleye, and northern. The crystal clear water in both the lake and the creek make for beautiful paddling as you watch the fish swim right underneath you and observe the turtles. Please be respectful of the nesting loon platforms and other lake owners. Please do not use their floating rafts. Enjoy the numerous surrounding lakes such as Chute Pond, Maiden Lake, Boot Lake, Townsend Flowage and more! Bagley Rapids is minutes away. Located near Townsend, Mountain and Lakewood which provide multiple dining options, bait shops, gas stations, and more. Please be respectful of this land. Please do not tamper with the campers or shed. Please feel free to use any wood you find already down in the woods or take from the numerous stick piles found near the campsites. Please do not use the cut firewood. The wood in the stick piles has been stacked for your use and is good dry wood that will provide you with hot fires. We do not even use the cut wood in the summer, spring, or fall. My young children and I have worked hard to clear those sites and cut wood for our own personal use in the winter so please respect the effort we have put in so we can continue to enjoy our land and share this beautiful location with others. There is no electric or water so please plan your trip accordingly. Please leave no trace and carry out what you bring in. There are no toilets available so you will need to provide your own portable toilet. Peeing on a tree is fine, but no pooping in holes. If you chose to drive down to the campsite by the creek you are doing so at your own risk as vehicles have gotten stuck trying to get back up especially after a rain fall and had to get towed out. It is recommended you park up on top and walk the short distance down. ATV/UTV are fine going down to the creek campsite. The long driveway has plenty of room for multiple vehicles, trailers, and boats. Absolutely no hunting or shooting of guns is allowed on the property. Bears have been seen on the property so please use bear safe camping practices. If your children use the ninja line or hammocks on site they do so at their own risk and we are not held liable for any injuries that may occur. You may notice a zip line. The seat will be removed and is not to be tampered with or used. Quiet time is between 10pm-6am. No illegal activity (including fireworks) are allowed. You may see us up there but we will respect your privacy and space. We welcome company and conversation but also respect you may prefer to be left alone. K Our pond front RV site is located on the northern tip of the Kettle Moraine Forest within 300 yards of the hiking trails. 2 miles from the gates at Road America, Elkhart Lake WI, and Elkhart’s swimming, biking trails and great restaurants. 30 Amp power and water hook ups for RV's are available. The Kettle Moraine Ice AgeTrail is just across the pond. The Glenbeulah Millpond offers fishing and kayaking and we provide free use of our kayak and paddleboat. We usually have a bunch of firewood for the included firepit and a nice table and chairs for your picnics. Swimming is near by at Elkhart Lake and the mountain biking trails in the Kettle Moraine Forest are wonderful. There is WiFi. We have a dog that is overly friendly and will hang out near your camper. If you want to bring your pets we ask that you talk with us first to make sure they will all get along. We do not have a sewer connection for your black and grey water tanks but there is a dump station just 4 miles away. There are no toilet facilities on site.

Tent Camping Site on Lake Mary’s Channel. Private place to pitch a couple tents, hammocks, enjoy a campfire, and most importantly enjoy access to Lake Mary & Lake Elizabeth via a short channel which is only steps from the door of your tent! The channel is shallow, while you cannot swim from the campsite to the lake you can easily launch kayaks and after 850ft of paddling you are out on Lake Mary! 15minute safe sidewalk or quiet neighborhood road walk to Lance Park from camping site. The park also has ample parking. Drive time from camping site to the park is only 2minutes! Lance Park has a wonderful pubic beach swimming area. The water quality of Lake Mary is amazing with great clarity and no algae or seaweed growth. It also has a public boat launch. The park also hosts the “AquaNut” Water Show every Wednesday and Saturday nights in the summer! Lance Park also has a clean and very large handicap accessible porta potty that can be used 24/7. Twin Lakes has a cute Main Street with lots of fun to be had. There are also several restaurant/bars on Lake Mary or Lake Elizabeth. Lake Elizabeth can be accessed by a small waterway that connects the lakes. Kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes can easily float under a lower foot and car bridge. Larger and taller motorized boats cannot move between lakes. This camping site offers such a fun and inexpensive way to get outdoors this summer!

A hidden gem nestled between the comforts of lake living and a backdoor to the expansive Nicolet National Forest.  Recreational opportunities are year-round, including recreational vehicle and fishing opportunities on and around the 417 acre lake flowage.  The private +2 acre property has panoramic views of the secluded headwaters opening into the main flowage.  Set back off the main lake, wildlife viewing, especially birding, is the best I have experienced. Neotropical migratory bird species are abundant in the Spring as well as a resident breeding pair of Trumpeter Swans, many ducks(!), Bald Eagles, Loons, Sand-Hill cranes; many woodpecker spp. including Pileated; Screech, Barred and Great horned owls.  Some of the more entertaining wildlife include deer, otter, beaver, muskrats, red squirrels and the occasional wandering black bear (no problem bears).  In the Spring, the esker's neighboring wetlands come alive with many frog and turtle species.  For me, the allure of the wild still dominates here.  The esker provides an amazing vantage point with nearly 270 degree panoramic views of the flowage. From the Gazebo, take one of two paths to the overlook before descending down to the lakefront.  In 2021, I plan on adding a short pier but the natural rocky peninsula already provides excellent access into the deeper thalweg, an excellent fishing/ swimming hole!  All pontoon and fishing boats can be accommodated here. Learn more about this land:The property is located towards the end of a Forest Service road (Meadowlark Lane) with one year-round resident at the end. There's a large turn-around for trailers and larger vehicles. Neighbors are well separated, located over the ridgeline and out of earshot. The property has a relatively wide, flat 100 foot driveway to the cabin from the road. Easy access to the cabin from the driveway. The cabin is surrounded by mature maple/birch/balsam/hemlock forest and several wetland/tamarack bogs (very diverse terrain bordering the lake). At the base of the cabin there's a small pier for direct kayak and canoe access.  Larger boats can easily dock on the lake-end of the property, a short walk from the cabin. From the natural driveway a concrete paver staircase leads up to the main campsite (see pics).  The campsite includes a 3 season 14 foot enclosed gazebo with electricity.  Essentially, the land is a 2 acre esker (kettle moraine feature) that serpentines through the woods to Reservoir "Pond" lake system. Excellent views of the lake! The Flowage has headwaters from McCauslin brook and connects 3 lakes totaling 417 acres.  Maximum depth 27 feet.  Fishing and Pontoon boat docking on shoreline. The closest boat launch is on Horn Lake which is passed on the way to the cabin and approximately a half mile away as the crow flies. Plenty of areas for tenting/ wall tents, 2 picnic tables (one near the cabin and the other by the gazebo), and a separate outhouse with toiletries at the top of the hill. Attractions in the Area:  Sleepy Hollow Minature Golf on Nicolet Rd (just East of Horn Lake) Sunset Resort of Townsend located on the SE end of the flowage.  Accessible by boat or short drive from camp on Burnt Dam Road.  Hill Crest Lodge Supper Club on Nicolet Rd (you'll pass on the way in) 4 Stars.  Birch Hills Resort and Bar (over the bridge from Hill Crest) 5 Stars.  Mike's Supermarket/ Pintsch's TrueValue (just thought I'd mention where to get provisions) (also on Nicolet Rd), TownsendPotawatomi Casino, CarterOld Town Hall cafe and bloody bar- Traditional American food, Townsend (Excellent Breakfast!)Sweet Memories Candy Store, Lakewood (If you have a sweet tooth, this place is over the top Willy Wonka style, many candy filled rooms that seem to never end!)Lakewood Ski and Sport- Outdoor Gear, Lakewood.  Talk to Dave- great guy. This is a site tucked in amongst our back forest of white pines and birch trees about 35' from the back lake called Bass Lake. The lake is suitable for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. It connects with another lake in the Southwest corner of the lake. It is easy to back in your RV to the spot under the trees. There are no hookups and no fresh water. It's just one site near the lake. The driveway is an easement that runs from Bertram Road across my neighbor's property and continues on past my property to the next two properties. There is hardly any vehicles that use it and it provides nice access to the camp site.
