Amazing views; I would recommend bringing something to keep you off the ground because it is very uneven. If you bring a dog or kids, be very careful because it is not a joke when they say cliff. I will definitely be coming back!. My friends and I had a blast!.

Such a gorgeous secluded spot. Perfect for folks without kids--the cliff face is close and steep. The view was incredible. We had some pretty serious wind for part of the time but when the wind died down it was peaceful and spectacular. We loved the proximity to the town campground facilities and how much solitude this site offered. We'll come back again for sure!

Schuyler's spot is wonderful! The pictures don't lie. Madeline Island and Bayfield were very charming and we enjoyed our stay! We also got lucky with a clear night sky and had wonderful stargazing.

Really beautiful spot. I’ll echo what others have said, the ground is pretty bumpy/uneven for tent camping, and it’s a bit of a tight fit for multiple tents. Sunset couldn’t be beat, though!

Ground was really uneven everywhere. Not really any 1 good spot to set it. For being a camp spot that you rent out you would think the owner would make it a little more decent. (Bumps, broke.dowm.cars, garbage) Also don't try to book the same day as it will be approved late at night. Really cool view. Unaccessible to lake. If you have a nice paint job I would skip as the driveway is overgrown. Positive is that you can see the lake.?

This is not a campsite for small children, they should state that in the description. It would be very dangerous for a young child. We did not end up staying there. I went there, observed the campsite and left. Steep cliffs make it dangerous for small children. My child is 4, I was scared of an accident especially with the fire pit right next to the cliff. The campsite was trashy and the ground was very uneven. There was no good place for a tent. I should have brought my Skoolie, but owners recommended a tent. Beautiful of course with the lake and privacy, but missing good campsite qualities.

Nice spot, very private and well kept. Easy to find and beautiful sunset views! We brought a Subaru Outback with a 15 foot pop-up camper and a tent. It was a tight squeeze to turn the pop-up around, wouldn't try with anything larger. Big Bay Town Park is about 2 miles with trash, toilet/showers and beach access. Easy to get back to town, next time I'll bring a bike for more exploring!

I really enjoyed the secluded nature of the spot and it is primitive, so be prepared for that. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was that the access to the water was eroded away and it was too sketchy to climb down on my own. A heads up would've been nice. Other than that it wasn't a bad spot.

Great for self contained smaller vehicles. Definitely wouldn’t tow anything in there. The gazebo and bbq were helpful. Plenty of dead wood around for a fire. We wished there was beach access but the view was nice. Campsite was fairly clean, we always try to leave places cleaner than how we found them but had to abort when the kids found some interesting trash, maybe there was some honeymooners staying before us lol. Cool quiet spot on an island with not a lot of public access outside the state park. Thanks

Amazing spot on an adorable island. You do need to take a ferry to get to the island but it runs a lot. Spot is a private well maintained wooded lot right on Lake Superior. Not very level but nothing a few blocks couldn’t fix. Would definitely come back!

Awesome Weekend Seclusion

It was an awesome place to call home for a weekend. Quiet, heard nothing but the sounds of nature and our camp fire. The site was perfect for pull right up and have a cliff-side view of the nearest Apostle Islands. Will definitely be returning in the future.

What a view! Schuyler’s land faces towards the sunset with views of several of the Apostle Islands. We drove our camper van pulling a utility trailer down a short two track driveway, I wouldn’t go out with anything much larger. The terrain is quite uneven but we were able to find a flat enough spot to settle in and enjoy a beautiful evening. The next morning was peaceful and a nice breeze off the lake kept the bugs manageable.

We drove out to the Hipcamp a day early in our camper van to check it out. The road was so narrow and branches so low we were concerned about driving it in. We got almost to the ambulance and did not see a way to turn around. There was a vehicle blocking the road. We backed out and decided not to come back to camp the next day. May have been okay for a small vehicle and tents.

Great spot, was everything the host said it would be. Our CLC teardrop fit beautifully. This may sound odd but the surface was all moss and grass, a barefoot gem 👣

It’s a great and private spot. Could use some clearing and it’s hard to turn around and only appropriate for a very small camper. Fantastic location. Friendly neighbor dog comes to meet your pooch daily. A nice way to enjoy island life! I’d reserve it again. Used a 5x10 Hiker Trailer (square drop) to great effect. Surfaces are uneven.
