We thought Colton's property was a perfect spot! We enjoyed the quietness with the sounds of the wildlife. This is a perfect camping spot when you are not wanting any of the campground neighbors and chaos!♡
There is a firewood stand at the end of Haugen Road, which was super handy! We spent the day fishing Mineral Lake and English Lake. Mineral Lake there was not much for fish. The fish we caught on Enlish Lake werent too big. But enjoyed the peacefulness of the lakes!
Couple suggestions we had thought of for the property:
1. Have camping area mowed down. Leave a mower/weed whip, or suggest bringing one in the site posting.
2. We loved the Haugen Road Camp sign that let us know that was the property! We thought a sign on the tree with an arrow going up the hill saying "camp this way" or something along those lines would have been super helpful! We arrived late at night and was hard to find where the camp site actually was!
3. There was previous postings about the leg on the picnic table being broken. Its still broken and that corner of the table is not useful. Replace the table or reinforce the leg so that someone can sit there.
I was very pleased with this campsite and believe many others will enjoy their time here 🏕 🔥🎣🦉🌲

This was my second time staying at Colton's hipcamp. I love how private it is and how it's surrounded by beautiful pine trees. It's perfect for camping with dogs :)

It's a nice spot, very quiet at night. There's some traffic during the day, but there's nowhere that doesn't nowadays, and it was pretty minimal for a weekend, in the summer especially. It's a nice big spot and there was a ton of ripe blackberries to snack on. Much better than staying in a packed campground, would definitely recommend and stay again

The site is beautiful with lots of trees surrounding you, giving you a sense of privacy. We did end up leaving after one night due to a few things( nothing the host can control). There was some sort of construction going on maybe a 1/2mile away, creating loud truck noise early in the morning. One review said they only heard 2 cars drive by on the gravel road next to the site, but we heard several. The mosquitoes were no joke. We are not newbie campers, but even with 100%deet they still swarmed us. I'm sure the time of year makes a difference, so maybe it's better in early summer and fall. Lastly, there was a previous review about the broken picnic table leg. That has not been fixed yet. The close proximity to Copper Falls is great. I would definitely prefer to camp here then the crowded State Park.

Super cute tucked away spot! Nestled up on a slight hill it was a great getaway spot. Mosquitos were bad, but I went in the beginning of July. Remember your bug spray. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area!

Beautiful spot and so much larger than the pics! Right around the corner from Copper Falls SP, the location was perfect. Picnic table was important and I felt safe.

What a wonderful first Hipcamp experience!!! We loved the seclusion here! Two nights to unwind and reset in nature. Plenty of cut branches nearby the site to forage for firewood. We bought some on our way in due to late arrival but found enough for the rest of the weekend! The access to Copper Falls State Park was an added bonus as we had no plans to venture out but it was so close! The only issue was a broken bench on the picnic table where thankfully I only stubbed my toe a little bit before anyone sat down or was cut by the exposed rust.

So peaceful and secluded great spot! It’s real camping no bathrooms or showers. Has a nice fire pit there’s a picnic table and grill to use! Would definitely camp here again and plan too! 5 stars!

This place was perfect for us! To say secluded is an understatement! This is the definition of camping at its finest; no bathrooms, no running water, nothing but woods, what you bring, and nature!!!
I wouldn’t recommend brining kids… only because of no bathrooms- u less you’ve raised them to do their duty in the woods!

Definitely would camp again! Close to town and still private. Grill is a big plus and 3 hammocks can be set up in one area. Driveway may be rough for smaller vehicles

This campsite was easy to find, recently mowed and had a picnic table and a grill. It was flat, perfect for pitching a tent. The only downside was the bugs, specifically mosquitoes. Very quiet, tranquil night of sleep.
