This was my father's favorite place to be in the summer. He loved watching the hummingbirds early in the season and the leaf turn in the fall. We hope you and your guests will enjoy staying here as much as our family has. Five acre private lakefront property surrounded by trees. Cement pad for your RV or trailer. 50-amp and full hookups. Bring your own converter if less than 30 amps. Large fire pit (supply your own firewood). Recently refurbished private dock. Four-wheel trails and rental companies nearby. Short drive from the Namekagon River which is great for tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. Due to a recent review, I am also adding here that swimming from our property is not ideal. The lake tends to be weedy during warm summers. There are places to swim nearby, so if you are booking with the sole intent of being able to swim, please be aware that this is likely not the best site for you unless you are willing to drive to a nearby beach.If you have not received an email with additional information about the property and surrounding area prior to your stay, please let us know. Vehicles under 45 feet allowed

Back-in site
You can pull through down the driveway, but will need to back onto the pad for the best view and access. Please be careful of the wood walkway and water/sewage connections on either side of the pad when backing in.

50 amps. This is a 50-amp hookup. A 30-amp converter is also attached to the electric outlet. You will need to bring your own converter if you will be running anything less. There is an RV dealership nearby but they may or may not have those in stock.

Firepit, private. Campfires are allowed so long as you follow local guidelines, however, you will need to bring your own firewood and starting materials. There is a grilling surface available to use over the firepit and a charcoal grill is also available upon request.
Pets allowed
Off leash. Renters are responsible for the actions of or damage done by any pet brought onto the property. Please note that this is bear country and you should keep your pets in sight at all times.
No toilet; campers must bring camp toilets
No tent camping allowed without also having an RV or trailer that can be hooked up to the septic.

We were very happy with all of the amenities that this camp site provided. The concrete pad was perfect for our 23' camper. The electrical, water, and especially the sewer hookup were great. We loved the campfire area by the lake. It had a grill for cooking and chairs provided too. The dock has a bench which was nice for enjoying the beautiful view and listening to the loons. We didn't have much luck with fishing off of the dock - it's quite weedy. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and look forward to coming back! Jenifer is a great host!!

Nice lake view and private. Very quiet and peaceful. Smaller lot than it looks like in the pictures. We have a 34' trailer and a 1 ton truck. You could not just pull up and back in. I had to run across the grass and back in towards the woods to turn around so I could back in to the pad.

This was our second visit to Trego and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! Lots of space to spread out and hang up hammocks, and a nice concrete pad for the camper. The chairs and grill are always appreciated as well. We went back to Jacks to go tubing since the weather was perfect!

It was a great experience staying here. We have a 25 foot travel trailer and it fits perfectly on the cement landing. Very private, very quiet, and has great views. We can’t wait to return again! Our two dogs loved the private yard and room to play!

We enjoyed our secluded, calm lake weekend experience very much! Jennifer was always available and flexible - communication was easy. Rare to have full hook ups on such a private property. This made our stay comfortable and also enabled us to stay longer without any need for emptying the tanks somewhere. Perfect!

This was the perfect little getaway for my husband and I with our dog! It was quiet and even though the 2 neighboring properties were closer than I expected from the photos, that didn’t bother us one bit. The lake was gorgeous to take the paddle board on, the campfire are was cozy and perfect, and the place was very clean. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a more remote and quiet escape.

What a beautiful property! We loved camping in an oak grove in the fall time - golden and heavenly! The lake was beautiful, and even though it's the weather wasn't conducive to swimming, we thoroughly enjoyed reading on the dock. Everything about the site was as described and made camping with our 34' fifth wheel a breeze. We will be back!

Love it here! It was our second time and will be back. The lot is so nice and such a great location. Awesome trail just a mile down the road and so much to do in Trego and Spooner. Definitely check out Strongman Smokehouse and brewery!

Beautiful site but unfortunately the lake was too weedy for swimming in late July. The lake was very quiet, houses visible to either side but no people there this weekend. Our dogs loved the big open area with lots of shade cover.

We loved the property! Big shady space to play catch, pretty private (caught glimpses of neighbors but not much) and had fun fishing off the dock. Kinda mucky water right off the dock, but we had fun watching for turtles!

This place is incredible! It's so easy for large RVs with all the hookups and concrete pad to park on. Gorgeous river views off the dock, and an amazing fire pit set up. We saw deer, turtles, frogs, birds and more! It was our second visit and we'll definitely be back again.

This place was perfect! It had a lot of space to enjoy yard games with our family, a wonderful firepit to enjoy our nights, the dock had fish biting off of it, the wild life was also amazing! We saw deer, geese, eagles, ducks, hawks, and much more! Plus it’s a 5 minute drive to Strongman Smokehouse which is one of our personal favorite places to stop in the area! We will 100% come back to this one!

Fantastic private site. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We loved the fire pit and the beautiful lake. Our dogs loved exploring around the yard and the privacy to be dogs. Excellent communication with hosts and everything was in perfect working order.

This place was absolutely incredible! It was a PERFECT set up for a large RV - easy to park, hook up and access the water/sewer. So many thoughtful touches available that we hardly had to unload anything - grill, chairs at the firepit, and picnic table. Such a gorgeous area, with a long driveway and secluded road for walking the pups, and fun wildlife to observe. By far the smoothest trip between the communication, ammenities and convenience for our large vehicle. We certainly plan to come back again!

Very quite and beautiful place! The dock was well put together (I'm heavyset) and i felt very comfortable sitting on the bench down there. The chairs by the fire pit where nice with a great view of the lake and surrounding nature. The site was a little difficult getting into with our 5th wheel. We unfortunately came in at night time unexpectedly because of tire problems. I would strongly suggest not coming in at night, the PDF states that as well if your a bigger rig, there is just no light there for you to see what your doing. The site itself was big and the concrete was nice and level with easy access to all of the hookups. The outdoor table they had was very nice and everything seemed clean. I was surprised at the lack of mosquitos too. Maybe we just got lucky though! It was a lot of fun taking our kayaks out onto the lake and then into the river. There is a town close by with a truck stop that had showers (towels provided too!) So I loved how convinent the location of this site was as well!! While we did not see the hosts, their communication was great and couldn't be happier over all with the week we stayed!

Jenifer‘s land was just as pictured in her description. The concrete pad was wonderful for parking on, we had a 30 foot trailer and it was a little difficult to get it in there correctly, But we did it and all hook ups worked fine. Should be noted that there is no turn lane for turning on River Road off the busy highway. You can get to it off Ross Road the previous road you encounter which does have a turn lane. The area is wonderful for shopping, wineries and breweries. I highly recommend out of the woods winery in Hayward. (You can skip White Wolf distillery/Clover winery).

We had a fantastic stay! Just as pictured with beautiful lake views. Unfortunately it was too windy for us to use the fire pit, but what a perfect spot and setting. The stars were magnificent. We wish we could have stayed longer!! FYI best food by far we had was at Roundman Brewery. Best beer too! We hope to come back again in the future.

We love camping but don't always want to be packed in a crowded campground. Jenifer's land was perfect! We could still see the houses next to us but there was enough space and the neighbors were quiet. Our dog loved being off leash to be able to play catch but we had to watch him closely as he wanted to say hello to the neighbors! It took a bit of maneuvering to get our 30' 5th wheel situated but the concrete pad was level and full hookups were great! The firepit was really nice and my son loved the dock for fishing! We went to Shell Lake beach on a really warm day which is a super cute town! The other day was much nicer and we just wanted to chill at the campsite! Thank you for sharing a wonderful spot to park our camper!

This was such a great Hipcamp! My family has been camping in Trego for years at the nearby campgrounds. When I found this gem on hipcamp I decided to book it and I am so happy I did. My family has a canoe and we drove it up to the Earl landing and then just paid the log cabin to drive my husband back up there to retrieve his truck. Great experience all around. It was a bit tight to try and back our 34 ft travel trailer onto the concreate pad, but after a few attempts we were able to get it. Full hook ups were great and the dock and fire pit area were wonderful. Can't wait to book our stay again next summer.

We loved staying at this location. It had a wonderful view and was a great place that my kids and dogs could run around and play. There are neighbors on either side but we didn’t see any so not a huge deal. Host was responsive and great. Will visit again especially when tubing down the river as Jacks is just a view miles up the road.

Very peaceful setting. Houses on both sides, but not too close. No one seemed to be around anyway. Nice level slab with full hookups. Nice fire pit/lounging area. The lake is a lovely shade of green due to weeds and algae, but there’s nothing that can be done about that. It’s still a lake and we appreciated the herons, and loons.
