Decent spot next to a golf course while still feeling secluded. Caleb had very good communication and was a gracious host although we did not meet him at the property. Power and WiFi was provided which was an awesome luxury for us tent campers. There is a powered outhouse. There is a firepit for use. You are out in nature so cell service is spotty at best in and around the camp (having wifi helps that a lot) We heard/saw a lot of wildlife around camp including many deer, a variety of birds, a black bear, and a wild golfer or two. We even got to see the northern lights! (Thanks Caleb) Plenty to do around the area. There are a few spots cleared for tent camping, but it seems the spot is more catered to campers. Things to note, not necessarily negative. We went in July and the ticks were out, as were the mosquitos (nature stuff). There is no water at the site that we saw. The golf course is right next to the site so occasional golfer noise and road noise but the traffic was light and we rarely heard the golfers. The host does leave their trailer at the site and as such there are cameras pointing at where you are staying. However we did not necessarily feel like we were being watched. Would stay here again 👍

We had a mixed experience at this site. On the positive side, the setting is incredibly serene with lots of trees, and we loved watching the many birds and deer. The firepit circle is great, and having wood available on-site was a huge plus. The host, Caleb, was very kind and welcoming, offering us electricity and any supplies we might have forgotten. The outhouse is a nice work in progress—it’s well-stocked and has electricity, though it currently lacks a doorknob and had a fresh bird's nest inside. It will be a fantastic amenity once fully finished!
However, we experienced some privacy issues. We were told that the host would only be around on Friday afternoon for maintenance but upon arrival, we learned he would be staying all weekend in his camper just across the driveway. He didn't interact any more than we wanted, which was appreciated. There were also two security cameras pointed toward the campsite, but we weren't sure if they were active. Between the host's constant presence and the cameras, it felt a bit uncomfortable.
It’s a beautiful spot, but better communication regarding the host's presence and the cameras would have greatly improved our stay.

We had an awesome time at Caleb’s place! He was so kind, generous, and helpful, and he saved us with a space heater when it got rainy and colder than expected overnight. We can’t wait to get back for another trip.

I loved staying on this campsite! There were so many things that Caleb had on the site that we ended up needing. He had a space heater that ended up being a life saver when it was raining our first day! He was also super personable and responded to all of my questions within hours! Would recommend!

Fun place for winter camping! Electricity and a heated outhouse, what more do you need!! Can’t wait to check it out in warmer weather ☀️ Caleb was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and provided lots of information and things to do around the area!

What an AWESOME experience for my very first Hipcamp! Caleb is an incredibly welcoming host, and I would return just to see him again. The site is very peaceful and secluded, and while it was cloudy during our stay, I'm sure the stars must be incredible at night. 10/10 can't wait to go back!

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, I would highly recommend staying at Caleb's land!
A good spot to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Also not far away from some really neat trails and great places to eat, and more importantly scenic views of the flowage at the lookout tavern. And a trip or vacation doesn't just start when you arrive at your destination, but when you hit the road. And the drive up to Caleb's in the fall is truly special.

Staying at Caleb’s land was great! Was peaceful and quiet with plenty of privacy. There’s also plenty of very good places to eat/drink not far from the property. Would recommend and would stay again!
