I’m so glad my very first solo camping trip with my dog was at The Dome!
When I booked the listing, there was an option to pay for a couple hours before and after the booking time and I definitely took advantage of that and I’m so glad I did. I had been needing this break from the stress of life situations and have been looking forward to it so much.
Inside The Dome is a perfect set up. It is nice and cozy with just the basics as you see in the listing pictures and the toilet was fine to use. There are instructions there for how to pack it out.
Linda was even kind enough to have a box of dry firewood available, and the fire pit is pretty big. I did make a small fire too!
There are some trails that are easily walkable.
Next, as another camper at the site noted in their review: birds, birds birds. I used my Merlin app and just sat and enjoyed all the sounds. I even got to see a few of the birds and I did bring my binoculars. I also saw two different hummingbirds.
Come prepared for a few ticks. I used “Wondercide” for Baxter. It’s part of camping!
I use At&T and had fine cell coverage. I’ll attach some pix and hope others go and enjoy it! We might go back this fall!

Where do I even start? Maybe at the fact that we absolutely cannot wait to return?! We had so much fun at “the dome”. The autumn trees worked out perfectly for us – the trees were in full color and the weather mostly cooperated while we were there. The second night we were able to see the stars and MY GOODNESS, it was absolutely spectacular.
It was expected to be pretty chilly during the night, so I brought a 10x20ft tarp to lay on the ground and help insulate against it and I think that helped significantly during our second night when the temp was about 36*. We cooked over the fire mostly for meals, but also drove the few minutes to A&W for root beer floats daily.
The compostable toilet is located behind a small partition to provide a bit of privacy, but there is also a gas station within three minutes of the site so I just drove to use that one mostly. The solar powered fan circulated the air a bit, but there’s only so much you can move the air around in a dome shaped space… it was 70* on our second day and it got warm inside of the dome pretty quickly.
We were able to buy firewood at the Adventure Church lot (five minutes away) and paid $5/bundle in cash at a self-serve stand. This stand is covered, so it had dry wood even after it rained the first night.
We loved how secluded it felt without also feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere. Overall, as the first camp like experience for us, it was a roaring success! Highly highly recommend, 10/10.

First time at the dome, it was a lovely time! Loved how private it was and Linda was very helpful with instructions and answering my questions!
Having a fan in there was nice due to the August humidity, tho it didn’t last very long. It did rain heavily once and there was some leaking from the roof, but we caught the drips in some containers, but nothing that ruined the experience for us!
Thank you Linda for hosting us, we’d love to come back!

Spent a wonderful day at the Dome for my partner's birthday. We enjoyed feeling tucked away and being immersed in nature. The host was very prompt anytime I need to message. The only thing is that we wished the campfire had grate which would've made cooking a little easier. Thank you!

The dome was spacious, clean, and bright during the day. The composting toilet was a perk on a cold night (no midnight trips to pee outside). The dome was thoughtfully appointed with everything we wanted. Linda was a text away and responsive when I had any questions.

Coolest camp spot I’ve ever been to! I didn’t want to worry about setting up a tent or bed for this trip, and stumbled onto this listing. It was wonderful. It’s nice and isolated, you can hear the owls hooting at night as you fall asleep, and the dome itself is cute and cozy. Worth every mile and minute to be there!

We loved this dome-camping experience! It was so cool and cozy. Just a heads up, if you’re coming here during hunting season, you may hear gunshots in the morning, but it definitely didn’t impact our time at the dome! There are some nice lakes nearby for swimming. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

I had a blast “glamping” with my 14 year old daughter and our dogs. We were looking for a low key getaway for our 12 year old elderpup who loves adventures but has seriously slowed down recently, and does better away from other dogs. This cozy spot fit the bill. At night, we projected a movie on the ceiling with a mini projector, which was awesome.
