We rented Jean's land for our first camping trip with our little girl and dog. We really appreciated the fresh wood chips and ample dry wood under a long table. The fire pit was also large and nicely built. The views from the dock were incredible, and the loons were fun to hear. Although none of us got any ticks on us, it was pretty mosquito-heavy (late June and immediately after a big rainstorm), which is to be expected. We have a senior dog, who was unable to heave herself up onto the dock after she had jumped in. For those of you with senior dogs, there is no easy shore access, but I'm sure a younger pup would be able to hoist itself back onto the dock. We left early as a storm blew in the second morning we were there, and the choppy water and wind would not have been good for swimming or kayaking with our young daughter, unfortunately. Overall I'm glad we went - our dog seemed to enjoy the tent and our daughter really liked camping - telling stories, the firepit, eating outside, all that. We're going to make a camper out of her!

Jean has an absolutely beautiful spot. Would be best for those camping in a tent or small teardrop camper. Nice solid dock, but must jump in the water that way, not able to walk into the water as there is no beachfront. Jean was very responsive and easy to work with.

My dog and I had a great time at Jean’s spot. The view was gorgeous and the site was exactly as described. The bird watching (and listening) was fantastic!

Sensational solo camping experience. Although I didn’t use the electricity or the provided water source, both were easily found. The weather was a bit windy so I opted to swim instead of canoe or kayak ( both options were available ). The lake was so refreshing , sounds of Loon echoed in the evening and the sunset was spectacular! Firewood was provided and the property is well cared for. 100% satisfied.

Quiet Lake Front Gem
We had a lovely time at this site! The lake is beautiful and quiet, and we loved exploring it with the provided canoe/kayaks. There are houses on either side, but there are enough trees that it felt pretty private. We had two big tents with us that were both too big the platform so the spacing was a little tight, but we made it work. There is a picnic table but it doesn’t have benches, so just make sure you bring camp chairs. We also appreciated the little touches like dry wood and newspaper being left out.

I was a bit nervous about this site at first because I didn’t see any reviews!
I found out they are new and I was so happy we stayed! It was absolutely perfect! The little pit toilet had no smell, the swimming was so much fun and we loved using the canoe and kayak to paddle up slowly to the little loon family.
We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Highly recommend this spot. It has water, power, a nice table for kitchen stuff, a fire pit, and a wooden platform for a tent. Best of all, it is on a really beautiful lake with a dock and a canoe. You can tell this lake is a special place: quiet, off the beaten track, and well loved by those people lucky enough to have cabins there. The loons serenaded us under the bright stars. This is what hip camp is all about in my opinion. Look forward to going back.

Beautiful spot! The view of the lake from the dock is stunning. We stopped for one night but wish we could have stayed longer, could really get comfortable camping here! Jean was so helpful and accommodating! Felt very private!

We have loved visiting Lower Kimball Pond for yrs since our sister has had a camp there for >30 years. Imagine our surprise when we discovered a Hipcamp that was practically next door!
The site at the bottom of the driveway has a slight view of the pond/lake partially obstructed by foliage. Small dock on the water for fishing/ sitting/canoe/kayak launch. The lower site near the water has a large flat area where there is a fire pit w/cooking grate, a deck area, canoe for guests’ use, a long, narrow work station & a sm amt of firewood. Potable water (hose) is in this area of the camp.
There are two areas that can be used as a campsite. One near the water & one that is about 1/2 down the driveway which is located near the electric access and the privy. Site near electric is mostly level but in our minds only big enough for a pop up camper or tent.
Our only option w/our 26’ camper w/a slide was to back down the rather steep & curvy in parts & narrow driveway to the waterside site: not for the inexperienced.
We needed to buy a 100’, 10 gauge power cord ($100) which allowed us to use our AC but no other high draw appliance at the same time since the power outlet there is 20 amp. The distance from water hookup to electricity was 135 feet.
This is a beautiful location! Extremely peaceful and filled with birdsong including loons ❤️. We are so glad we found it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Jean's campsite! Everything was beautifully arranged — from the well-maintained grounds to the little details around the site. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the noise of everyday life.
The highlight for us was definitely the lake. It was absolutely stunning, with clear, calm water and a beautiful natural setting all around. We spent hours just sitting by the shore and soaking in the views.

This camping space is stunning! With a great view of the lake from the dock and a nice area for the dogs to run around. Just bring double the bug spray, especially if it rains prior to your trip! With the scenery and how quiet and calm the area is, I would 100% travel back to this site.
