It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Come to play or come to stay! We are directly on the vast Northern New Hampshire ATV/ORV Trail System, as well as the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. We are also a lakefront property, featuring a large sandy beach right on the lake for your relaxation.
The lake offers excellent swimming, boating, and fishing. From the beach, you'll enjoy amazing views of the Presidential Range in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Camping here at the hostel is a great option for those who are looking for the economic price point and rugged nature of camping, while still having the amenities of modern living.
"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property.
Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).
Amenities:
For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.
Breakfast: Pancake mix provided in the community kitchen.
Dorm style bathroom facilities on the second floor have two toilets and shower stalls each. PLEASE NOTE: Towels can be rented for $5, or bring your own for free.

The property is equipped with an outdoor kitchen, gazebo with fire pit in the center, firewood bins full for purchase as an add on through hip camp, two kayaks with life vest no extra charge to use them just make sure that after they have been used they are rinsed off and put back into the original placement. property has power a functional toilet in the cabin along with a shower, also there is a Porter potty insert outhouse. There are three beds inside the cabin, bunk bed with a full size on the bottom twin on the top and a futon couch ***bring your own bedding, towels washcloths, paper products, plates, silverware** This Camp is rented through an honor system and because I rent it this way it saves you money by not paying all the cleaning fees like Airbnb, but you must leave the camp in the condition you found it or better taking anything brought to the property away ** especially trash or anything in the refrigerators** at your departure date. If anything inside or out was moved during your stay make sure it is placed back in its original placement, feel free to set up as many tents that will fit along with Easy Ups.

The view from anywhere on the site is incredible. There is something new to see in every inch of the cabin. The amount of detail and care in making the cabin is mind blowing! I cannot recommend this experience enough!

This was our 2nd time staying on this property, but our first time at Site 4. The views were AMAZING and the site offers a few different places to pitch tents. Takes a bit longer to get down to the main house to refill water jugs and access the community kitchen, but the trade-off is a very quiet, peaceful site with very few people and vehicles passing through.

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite! It's relatively remote, which makes it the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature. The lack of light pollution meant the night sky was absolutely incredible—stargazing here is an experience you won't forget.
The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. The campsites are spacious, with plenty of room for larger groups without feeling crowded.
The sauna and cold plunge were the highlight of our stay and an absolute must-try. They added a unique touch that made the whole experience even more relaxing and memorable. We'd definitely come back and highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing amenities.

Matt's place is private, it's a good place for hanging out with your dogs. Kayaking on the bog was a fun experience, if you paddle under the road the exploring feels endless . Lots of water Fowl to watch.. Matt is super friendly and fast to answer questions. The driveway is steep. Our 27' travel trailer and 4x4 2500 GMC did it. Thanks for sharing your spot Jason

Such a serene experience! From the friendly greeting of Nick and his family (furry kids included) to the gorgeous sites and well preserved nature, our stay was perfect! We camped at site 5, quite a hill (make sure you have awd) but so worth it! Stunning views, super quiet and private, beautiful trees all around, great fire pit that we enjoyed for hours (the wood we bought there was top notch). We left regenerated, thank you!

Really cute, large sites. Felt very secure, safe, and private; I was the only one camping at the time though.
Super dog friendly. Within walking distance of maybe the best Mexican food on the east coast, shout out Casamigos, and a well known river spot for swimming. Free if you walk in.
The hostel itself was lovely and had very clean, updated and inclusive facilities, and a giant kitchen.
Bikes are available and there’s lots of places to put your stuff.
They seem to genuinely care about the well fare of their guests.

Somehow, I've missed Sacred Nectar in the past, when I've searched for getaways with our little family. This spot will definitely be a repeated visit. Our field location was private, quiet and provided excellent birding; with nesting Bobolinks & an evening visit from a Bittern. The trails are plentiful for walking our pup and the sauna & cold plunge were delightful. Thank you for for sharing your land with us!

I loved the land and the whole vibe. the sauna with the plunge pool was awesome! next time I would stay closer down to the main area since I felt far away up at the top site. but it was super private with a nice view

In spite of the campground being mostly RVs, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Plenty of grass and trees, easy access to toilets and showers, with the easiest check-in process and a lovely property manager. Don’t automatically pass on this spot just because it’s not as rustic as some other sites — we had a much better experience here than we’ve had at some state parks!

Weekend Trip to Waterfront Oasis W Included Favs
Such a stunning place! Beds were super comfy, loved having the kayaks there to use. The grill worked amazing and the overall landscape was stunning. Highly recommend! Matt is also incredibly helpful and great!

This was my first camping trip and I chose Sacred Nectar Sanctuary - worth it. Felt safe, there are multiple trails to explore and it had an overall welcoming vibes. I will be visiting again ☺️
