Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Camping here at the hostel is a great option for those who are looking for the economic price point and rugged nature of camping, while still having the amenities of modern living.
"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property.
Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).
Amenities:
For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.
Breakfast: Pancake mix provided in the community kitchen.
Dorm style bathroom facilities on the second floor have two toilets and shower stalls each. PLEASE NOTE: Towels can be rented for $5, or bring your own for free.

You will have easy and direct access to the sandy beach and swimming. The water is crystal clear and the water around the beach is very shallow which is great for children. The beach has a fire pit available as does the lodge. We have kayaks, a canoe and paddleboards available on the beach for guests to use.

This is clearly a great spot as a home base for many outdoor activities that Conway has to offer. You are living in a beautiful, detailed puzzle in a beautiful spot. It's really well-equipped with two fire pits (one with a grill for cooking, and water to rinse (not drink) in the cabin. It's warm and clean and has windows for light and air. You're about a mile from the main camp area, which has showers and more cooking stuff and electricity. You can't see or hear any other campsites from where you are.

Had a wonderful stay at SNS. We stayed at site 2, Secluded Grove. It was extremely private with lots of space. Plenty of options for setting up the tent. Loved that my dog could roam and get the wiggles out without even leaving the site. The outhouse was adorable and pristine. Everything was well marked and easy to find. Lots of hiking nearby and just a stone’s throw from Winnipesaukee. Had a quiet, comfortable weekend and can’t wait to return.

This is a very special and remarkable camp site. Nick clearly takes pride in his property and prioritizes an unforgettable experience for campers! He warmly greeted us upon arrival and gave some great local recommendations. We stayed in camp site 4 and the site layout and views are spectacular! We also thoroughly enjoyed the mountain top sauna which is in walking distance from the site. We also loved the fact that each camp site has its own charming outhouse. Ours had three windows! Note that 4x4 is recommended for this site and a few others. However, it is well worth the bumpy trip to the top!

Great location with access to hiking in lakes nearby. Pet friendly, which is a huge plus for us. We don’t have kids, but the playground looked fantastic and even had a cute sandpit with little construction toys. Everything was clean and well maintained.

My second time at Sacred Nectar! My fondness keeps growing at this beautiful property! Site 3 had a lovely fixed Teepee style tent in addition to the usual spots to pitch tents which was amazing since it did rain a bit!
All usual amenities were spot on including a clean bathroom outhouse, nice fire pit with a metal grill!
Will always recommend this place to everyone!
