The Hide Away in Texas

Host Bill Roach says:

The property is an elongated 28.95 acres that is part of a formerly seven and a half section cattle ranch.  It is bordered on the east by the South Concho River, on the south and north by brush and farmland, and on the west by home sites of about 10 acres.   Finks Road that leads to the property is very rough, and helps keep the property secluded.  I like it that way.  There are no outside lights on the property to pollute the starry nights.  It is mostly quiet, but traffic can be heard sometimes on highway 277, about a mile to the east of the main house.  There are a lot of deer, turkey, birds of all sorts and other wildlife in the area.  We expect to re-stock with some Dorper sheep and their guard dog.   Mesquite trees and cactus are in the pastures.  Native pecan trees are along the river.  Oak trees are along a usually dry creek bed near the houses and outbuildings.  Some of the large oak trees are estimated to be about 200 to 300 years of age.
