Van camping with dogs
This was the perfect stay for us. With three dogs, staying at a campground can be overwhelming, with all the other dogs and kids running around. While we were the only ones camping during our stay, there was plenty of space between the four sites. The beach access was close and easy, the dock on the lake was nice, and the fire pit was well done. It was definitely nice to have the wind shelter, especially while cooking. We appreciated the picnic table, which I think was a new addition. We got to meet Dave, and he was so nice and gave us some good info about nesting birds on the beach. The llama and sheep were obviously adorable... and there was no pasture smell, in case you were wondering. Overall a great stay—we will be back if we ever need a place in the area again!

Campsite 2 - Central Location
We had such a lovely stay at Dave's land. The campsites are well set up, we really appreciated the windbreak and the water barrel for putting out our fire and rinsing our dishes. The lake is so beautiful and it was really nice to be able to walk across the road to the beach! Dave is a great host, giving us lots of great information about the area and we really enjoyed hearing the history of his land. Forrest, the Llama and his 4 sheep friends were so fun to meet! We loved the sound of the frogs at night, but if you are sound sensitive, bring earplugs, it is an impressive concert! A great spot for families with kids and groups!

Campsite 4 - Remote South Site
Tranquil camp spot! Enjoyed going to sleep to sounds of nearby frogs and ocean, and waking up to sounds of farm animals. Everything was super clean.
