Mike's land was beautiful! Nice, level land on site 3, heavily shaded by pine. And he was communicative for the few questions I had!

Great site. No other sites near us. Love the privacy. We met Mike and he was great. Told us everything we needed to know. It was my first time there and camping with my boys. If we go camping in the area again. This will be our first choice.

Mike is a super wonderful host, there when you need him and absent when you don't! The site is lovely, mature pines and oaks, birds singing and the activity from the brook delightful. I have had a chance to stay at this site multiple nights over multiple weeks to save travel money for a work gig and a popup camper or tent at this sight is perfect. Shell Lake and Spooner have a lot to offer and the National Scenic Riverway is also just moments away. Get away from the Cities or your normal routine and spend some time at Wild Wood Acres.

I love the solitude of site 1. I've seen and heard lots of cool wildlife in my two trips there. The ticks are ferocious but I found a bug spray in town with 98% deet this trip that helped a ton! The mosqutoes are not as bad as I expected though. I was a little surprised to see the cost goes up per person after just one person, but it was not a deal breaker I just need to pay more attention when I reserve a site. It is a beautiful area, Mike is very responsive but not at all invasive.
I will be back!

We had another campsite booked nearby that the host cancelled on us last minute, so we needed to find something that fit our needs on very short notice. Mike’s site was perfect. He responded to us immediately and was able to help us out despite it possibly being inconvenient for him. The space was easy to find, secluded, and perfect for us to park our teardrop trailer for a couple of days. Close enough to town, and there’s a great disc golf course close by. Highly recommend checking out Mike’s sites!

Quiet, private spot. Path to it was well lit with a couple of motion sensor lights on trees, nice touch. Large fireplace and picnic table, clean porta-potty. Host was friendly and even had firewood ready for us. Enjoyed our stay!

Miles land was great! Very inviting, gorgeous, well kept. Exploring is encouraged, and the fire pits were awesome!
Make sure you know how so level if you bring a RV, my little unit was fine, but some larger units might find it difficult to get level.

Very quiet and secluded. We stayed at site#1 with our 23 ft trailer. The hill was a little steep and the trees scraped the top of the trailer, but we fit fine. It might be tricky if the ground was wet or saturated. Mike had great communication and was available if we needed anything. We only used our generator for a short time, but it was nice to have it in case we needed it. There was no cell service except a random bar, every once in a while. We use T-Mobile. Shell Lake was about a 14 minute drive with restaurants and some small shops. If you like to kayak, there’s a smaller lake called Round lake that connects to chain lake that was fun to explore. We enjoyed our stay.

Being our first tenting trip, my kiddos and i couldn't of asked for a better site! Mike was very responsive when I would message him asking questions and even when we got there. He greeted us right away, put solar lights up so we could see around the site. He let us know where the walking trails were, where the bathroom and garbage were. Did not use the bathroom since we brought our own bathroom bucket! Rained a lot one night and next morning, he asked how it went and even offered to dry anything we had that was wet! Beautiful chunk of land to explore and see wildlife. My kiddos had a blast and did not want to leave. Think the three friendly dogs had a lot to do with that:) Loved the space site one provided and enjoyed hearing all the ideas Mike wants to do with the place, the amenities etc. Ticks were worse then the mosquitos, shocked but still wore extra bug spray. If I had to say anything bad, it would be the price. What I paid was worth it just because it was our first camping trip, but not having water or electric etc, not sure if price is worth it! Will definitely be back though!
