Haen Hollow
Special place
Hiking this place was special. It was like going back in time with all of the old stone walls and the opportunity to let my pup run free was wonderful. Sites were well maintained, wood was chopped and available, porta was very clean. Note to campers, there is a bit of Hwy sound and cars passed by regularly till about 7:30 pm. Some may like the 'white noise', others may not. In any case, very nice location and the area offers so much - wonderful hiking at Kettle Moraine Northern Unit, cute coffee Cafes and great food in Dundee, Plymouth, Elkhart Lake, plus much more. Enjoy exploring!

Haen Hollow
Great spot! We're van campers so stayed in Haen Hollow. It felt private being surrounded by the trees, didn't hear the other campsite at all. And having a garbage/recycling can was a plus. Easy to follow directions.

Grapeline
Directions to the property and site were easy to follow. The trail to Grapeline is well maintained and was an easy walk. Having the bell tent set up for us made the trip so much easier. Fire pit, cooking grate, picnic table, and trash onsight was so helpful. We had a rainy weekend so I didn't get to explore the property as much as I wanted, but my kids had a wonderful time roaming the trails while I did all the work ;-) Quiet, beautiful setting, my kids asked when we left "can we come back again?" - plan on it!

Wet camping weekend
A rainy weekend. The owner was very communicative even texting us when he found out about unexpected road closure preventing us getting to the camp site. We arrived in rain after dark and he was kind enough to have tarped the firewood we had requested. Portapotty was very, and wagons were available to haul if needed. Cooking grate at camp site was an unexpected bonus.
The camp site was great and we were able to star gaze and see the milky way on the second night with our fire. Even with other camp sites in use we didn't see anyone and you feel you are alone in the woods. Lots of rainy day activities in the area if sitting in the tent in the rain with 3 kids is not your cup of tea. We had a great time and can't wait to get back.

Rocky Top
Rocky Top was perfect for sleeping under the stars. Beautiful and secluded. Definitely plan on coming back.

Rocky Top
Great night sky view!
Great location in the Northern Kettle Moraine. Multiuse property so we ran into a couple deer stands and a camera while exploring the mowed trails. Met Jay, the owner and he was kind and accommodating. Few trees, so hammocks, tarps, and the like are a no go. We brought our own wagon to haul equipment and supplies, but they are provided, too. The Rocky Top campsite lacked a very large level space for a cabin tents but smaller tents had some options. Make sure to bring plenty of fresh water as there are no on-site pumps or spigots. Portapotty was clean and shared between 4 campsites. No problems with raccoons or other animals. Beautiful view of the stars on a clear night. Only drawback was the frequent vehicle noise from the state highway nearby. Motorcyclists and classic car lovers choose this area to open up their motors and let the wind flow through their hair on weekends. Still much better than a weekend in the city, though.
