My wife and I stayed at Indigo Zen Garden for our anniversary, and it was pure magic. If you want a private retreat that balances nature with thoughtful luxury, this is it.
The glamping dome is incredible—AC-equipped, cozy, and perfect for stargazing from bed. The grounds are a whimsical wonderland; every corner holds a new surprise, from the disco ball in the trees to the "abandoned" boat art piece. The garden is stunningly lit at night.
Everything is meticulously curated. We had access to a clean, pleasant-smelling port-a-potty, outdoor shower, an enclosed pergola with a propane fire pit, a wood-burning pit, and a BBQ grill. They provide everything—lighters, grilling mitts, and bug spray. As bird lovers, we were in heaven, and we even spotted a newborn fawn!
A huge shout-out to hosts Melanie and Milos. I booked the romantic package, and they went above and beyond. Their caring touches were so moving that my wife was in tears of joy. Melanie and Milos are incredible people who have created something truly special. Whether it's a romantic getaway or a retreat with family, I couldn't recommend Indigo Zen Garden more highly. We will definitely be back!

The dome was awesome, super cozy and it was so cool sleeping in there. There’s so many spots that are set up that really add character and whimsy to the place. I loved the grounding garden. I would definitely stay here again :)

This is my second season visiting and everytine it’s better than before! The stargazer I stayed in has since been. relocated and in its place this incredible igloo style space. The dome igloo has all of the things to go glamping. You can control the lighting, there’s a heater and AC. It has curtains so you can sleep later but I highly recommend sleeping with them open. It’s almost freeing to sleep in what feels wide open while being safely secured (and not feeding mosquitos). The entrance to the dome is at the back of the structure. The front faces out to the garden and the field. There’s a small garden right in front of the dome that attracts nature right up to you. The next morning a squirrel ran right up against the dome with a walnut in his mouth. Then, a hummingbird flew up and hung out for a drink before taking off. It was so cool to be able to enjoy them so close without scaring them off. Melanie was an incredible host with great communication and so gracious. We came back kind of late from dinner and she offered hot tea and a fire. There’s also breakfast options like smoothie bowls, oatmeal, and quick cook breakfast. There’s also now a screened in gazebo for late night hang outs which I really appreciated. Bring bug spray if you’re prone to bites. Melanie offers a foraging activity so you can eat off the land. in order to get the most out of what you can enjoy, she doesn’t use pesticides. The garden is full of life! Will absolutely come back again!

The space was well thought out and comfortable. We enjoyed the bar- set up our small stove, cooked at it and sat there to eat. The dome was cozy and very clean. Clearly the hosts care a lot about the space.

Absolutely beautiful space and incredibly well thought out. Enjoyed using the fire pit area especially! Melanie was very welcoming and gave us an in depth tour of the full space outside of the tent area. We will be back again! Thank you.

This place is extraordinary. The tents are so beautifully decorated and incredibly well thought out. There was a lot of planning on all the details. I loved the screened in tent. A very relaxing space that felt like you are outdoors but in a screened in porch. The children's play area is adorable and has a ton of toys, books and activities for children. It's amazing that you can project a movie. It's like being at a drive in movie theater but with comfy seats and tables. The fact that Melanie will go above and beyond to make food or get you what you need shows how passionate she is about creating a space that connects people with nature yet you don't feel like you are missing anything. I like that the place is safe. You don't have to worry about other campers. Also, the place is super clean!!!! I owned a fairly large cleaning business for 20 years. This place is cleaner than a hotel. The bedding is clean, chic and comfy. Everything has a soft, fresh feeling to it. Love it!!!!!!!

This was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature while staying close to home. We had our choice of 3 spaces to sleep and plenty of privacy with comfy spots to relax and unwind. The host is also amazing!

My husband, toddler son, and myself absolutely loved this getaway only 30 minutes south of MKE & a hidden GEM with very communicative hosts and attentive! I am blown away as a parent with a little one at the amount of activities. The frogs and the bunnies, oh my god! The kids tent! The globe dome! Best glamping experience ever for us as a family. We will be returning & recommend to all. Thank you, Indigo Zen Garden. (Key tip, go to 7 bridges, pay $15 each to go to the bear paw lake at jellystone, food at the depot and service is great.) 10/10! 🖤👏

We had an absolutely wonderful time. This property is amazing, and every corner has some gem to discover, especially at night. We got to try out the two glamping tents and also the very interesting geosphere, and everyone slept well. Beds and accommodations were quite comfortable. It’s at nightfall that the place truly shines. There are beautiful solar lights everywhere. Artistic touches everywhere. And it’s easy to walk around at night because the lights are plentiful. Multiple comfortable seating areas. Chairs around the campfire were comfortable. There’s a large table (with a propane fire feature) surrounded by plentiful cushioned seating under a large roof and also an outdoor bar area that’s handy for putting together s’mores near the campfire. We ordered firewood and the very nice host and hostess brought it right to the firepit and offered to start the fire for us. This was a really lovely experience, and I would return without hesitation. I should also mention that everything was spotlessly clean. We also did a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Wingspread estate, which was easy to fit in before check-in.

Indigo Zen Garden offers a little piece of heaven! The hosts are very friendly and eager to have everything just right down to the last detail. Make sure to check in in time for the sunset--you can't beart the view!

This was my first time staying and all I can say is there so much magic. Upon arriving, i was met by the host who also brought out hot water and a basket of teas to choose from. The stargazer tent is very intentionally decorated with books and things to discover. Melanie even leaves little mementos to remember your trip that she carved. the garden lights up at night highlighting different seating areas. There’s a garden chair area that perfectly faces the sunset across the field. There’s a fire space, small bar, and also seating around the Stargazer tent. Inside the tent is soft carpeting, plush robes, blankets to cuddle with, and a retreat to rest in. It did rain during my stay but it was so peaceful hearing all of the animals like owls and crickets. It was a very comfy space to just disappear into away from the buzz of everything that wants your attention. The space does have an outdoor shower which I didn’t use but would be interested in giving it a shot. In the morning, you have the option to enjoy breakfast which was greatly appreciated instead of venturing out. The space does have a porta potty (that doesn’t smell gross) and is kept clean. There is a hand washing station outside of the bathroom. Small touches that are appreciated. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing a retreat. When you rent the stargazer you also get a smaller tent automatically that is great if you have kiddos.

The campsite was great, decorated with cute lights and signs. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful and gave us great directions for finding her hidden gem of a campground! Perfect location for watching meteor showers.

Amazing yurt. Great for a family staying in their other yurt for the adults and the kids in this one. Me and some other adult guests booked it just because it would sleep all of us and was a fantastic time even for us. The hosts are both incredibly kind and attentive. Might be back next year for my Renaissance faire visit!

This was my second time at Star Gazer, and there are even more upgrades this time we stayed! It is still as comfy, and beautiful, but now she included slippers for cleanliness, and a cute little dish cart! Plus there is the most beautiful outdoor shower! Love the theme of the tent too! Everything lights up at night, like a little fairy garden! Perfect combination of being out in nature, but still having the comforts of home. And of course, Melanie is our favorite host ever💜💕

Beautiful, whimsical, colorful, and fun! This space offers a comfortable, and safe place for you, and your kiddo to play, while also being accommodating for adults. There are several little areas with different educational toys, and spaces for pretend play as well. Absolutely loved it! As always, the Melanie, is extremely accommodating. She’s truly wonderful 💜💕

My sister and I enjoyed a girl's weekend at the stargazer! The tent is decorated so cutely it was a fun place to relax. Pretty sunset from the fire pit area too! Everything was very clean and organized. They thought of everything from book lights to bug spray. Thanks for a great stay!

It was all clean and very comfy.
I would recommend bringing a fan if you get hot at night
I did have to go purchase one because unfortunately it rained and made it humid outside
But other then that the stay was amazing id 11/10 recommend

Staying at Melanie’s Stargazer Sanctuary was a beautiful experience. We were greeted so warmly and communication was clear. The glamping tent is amazingly comfortable and cozy. You will love the attention to detail. The very private outside area feels magical, especially at night with thoughtfully placed fairy lights. Staying here is a great way to treat yourself to something unique and to support a young family in their quest to create beauty in the world.
