Stone Ridge Tiny House
Recommend the Ridge.
We had a very nice time camping up on Darryl's place over the 4th of July. Close drive to some nice lakes for swimming and it was quite inspirational to be in a well built off grid cabin. He also gave us some eggs we ate for breakfast. Would recommend to others. Roads can be muddy if it rains but we had a 4wd vehicle so we were fine.

Site 4 Firefly Camp
Despite poor timing with rain, my wife and I really enjoyed our camping experience on Darryl's land. Darryl was a great host. He provided helpful instructions and greeted us upon arrival with a gift of eggs from his chickens. The Firefly campsite is true to it's name. At night, the site has a view over a large field that is filled with the glowing critters. I would just say beware that the car path to the campsite gets very muddy with rain. It had rained the day before and day when we arrived and my fwd suv almost got stuck in the mud.

Site 3 Twisted Elm
Had an amazing couple of nights here after we found our campsite we were very pleased at how secluded we were from other campers and everything we had available to us. On our first day darly stopped by to introduce himself and brought us eggs from his chickens. Had a blast would definitely recommend!

Site 7 Bullfrog
Great private site tucked in away from other campers. The nature sounds were perfect. Highly recommend bug spray on this spot, as it’s right next to a pond. Be sure to explore Ledge park- an easy 15 min drive away.

Stone Ridge Tiny House
Cool cabin - some unexpected things
Overall my stay was good - it was especially rainy and I was grateful for 4 walls/roof and a 4-wheel drive vehicle to reach it. The cabin is primitive/rustic which I was expecting. Darryl was helpful to find the cabin during a storm… important to note that Waze and Google maps do not play nice with the address however Apple Maps finally did came to the rescue. The farm fresh eggs was a lovely extra. There were a few unexpected things about the cabin that I think would be helpful to be addressed or at minimum noted in the description such as: Exterior door doesn’t lock - as a single woman travelling with two young boys, finding that the front door does not have any locking mechanism left me feeling vulnerable. Other campers were at a tent site nearby. I slept with some furniture pushed up against the door which helped however some sort of lock would have given me a more solid night of rest. Toilet area is fully exposed to the living/kitchen areas - this was awkward to navigate as a woman travelling with 2 young boys. Windows have no coverings so clear view to outside also. A simple sheet/curtain hung in front of the toilet would be helpful. Gas stove - cooking stove is connected to a small fuel tank, burner levers are unmarked and lighting is only via short matches/lighter. I made a couple initial attempts however felt unsafe at the close proximity required to the burner/fuel source especially with two kiddos present. So the food, coffee, etc we brought along wasn’t used
