We had a great time at Echo Valley! We were in the Driftless for a gravel race and the Maggie’s cabin was a great place to stay the night before and return to afterwards. A Clean and Cozy stay at a small Driftless farm. ✌️

My husband and I stayed in the Rustic Spring Cabin for two nights & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and cozy. We loved drinking our coffee on the front porch. We spent the majority of our time exploring Amish shops and nearby small towns. Ontario is a nice small town. There is a lot to do in this area and we are hoping to return in the near future with our kids in tow. The goods we preordered from the Bakery were delicious and Dena and Lauren were very warm and welcoming.

Tranquil Orchard Stay 🍎🏕️🐑

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Echo Valley Farm in the Orchard cabin! It was small, but cozy and comfortable enough for the two of us. The property was beautiful and felt secluded even though we were near other cabins and the country road. The sheep strolled by us every morning and sometimes again later in the day. The valley is extremely charming and my wife just had to do some watercolor painting of the scenery (and sheep!). Dena was a great host, will stay again! P.S- if you use Verizon you will not have data here! Which was fine for us :)

Mystical Magical Oasis of Serenity

When you enter onto the property, it’s immediately apparent that this is the place. Dena was a wonderfully pleasant host along with Shay and Lauren. The cabin was quaint, clean, and cozy. The property far surpassed my expectations. Being greeted by a flock of wayward sheep every morning over coffee????? Come on now! This is a place for you to come and connect with yourself, each other and Pacha Mama. RUNNING back to this place as soon as possible. The feelings we shared here have enlivened us and are still carrying over into our week now. THANK YOU ECHO VALLEY FARM FAMILY <3

Lovely Little Gem

This is the most peaceful place to unplug, unwind and just watch the day go by. Needing a break from my tourist town, found this gem about an hour away and now have my go-to decompress getaway! Cabin is exactly as described and town is just a quick 5 minute drive if you need anything. Thank you Dena & crew for a much needed down weekend!

Not the Peaceful Stay Expected

Unfortunately, my stay did not reflect the experience I anticipated from the listing. The photographs conveyed a secluded, peaceful setting, but the cabin is actually situated among several farm buildings, with people regularly walking past the windows and clear sightlines into the cabin. Although privacy was not explicitly guaranteed, this aspect of the setting was not apparent from the listing. The property was also much louder than expected, with ongoing lawn mowing, road traffic, and four-wheeler activity during the approximately five hours I was there. Electricity was available, but there was only one outlet despite the photographs depicting several, and I was uncomfortable using it after being told a previous camper had overloaded the system. The bakery, which was a factor in choosing this property, was also largely unavailable except for occasional preorders. Additionally, my interactions with the host were consistently discourteous and unprofessional from arrival through departure. I ultimately left after approximately five hours of a planned weekend stay. I would encourage more accurate and comprehensive information about the property's surroundings, privacy, noise, electrical setup, and current amenities.

The most serene setting

What an incredibly special place. From Deb's hospitality to the animals to the serene setting, there is so much to be enjoyed at the little slice of heaven. While the accommodations may be a tad rustic, they're clean, comfortable, and cozy. Just make sure you pack your own kitchen kit and bring wood. The area offers so much for an outdoor enthusiast, or you can relax and listen to nature! I'd recommend exploring their trails, especially at sunset. And the proverbial cherry on top? Their on-site bakery scones. Absolutely delicious! I will be adding Echo Valley to my yearly travel schedule.

Dena was very nice and the property was just as described. Nice, cozy cabin with plenty of blankets for the cool evenings (there was also a heater if we had needed it). We were traveling on our motorcycle and she was sure that we had a decent place to park the bike. The driveway is sloped, but had a couple of flat portions we could use easily. We got to meet the sheep, cats and chickens - And although the rooster crowed in the morning - it was really a peaceful stay. Would stay again!

Unique little cabin

This place is perfect for anyone seeking a quiet and cozy getaway surrounded by nature. Dena was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. The beds were very comfortable and the little cabin had everything we needed . We enjoyed meeting the sheep , and the bats and fireflies at night were super cool.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying at Echo Valley Farm. It's my second time visiting and it has such a unique and comfortable charm. We also preordered lemon and blueberry scones that were the best we've ever had -- highly recommend. Thanks to Dena and co. who make it happen! It's a very special place.

My son and I had a wonderful and restorative weekend at Dena’s beautiful farm. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. Greatly appreciated the coffee and tea! The pre-ordered rhubarb scones from the bakery were awesome. My son loved hanging out with the cat, feeding the sheep and watching the chickens from the screened in porch and picnic table. Provided fans kept the cabin comfortable at night even when it was over 90 during the day. We were 10 minutes from Wildcat Mountain State Park and the Kickapoo valley reserve where we went tubing. Exactly the beautiful yet comfortable camping trip we were looking for. Will definitely be back!

Sanctuary in the Driftless

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to ‘glamp’, look no further! Echo valley farm is made up of a handful of rustic cabins (no plumbing, but yes electricity) that offered my wife and I a nice place to cook a few meals, listen to the birds, have a fire, and rest our heads. The shared outdoor shower served us well after a day floating down the nearby Kickapoo River. Dena was a very accommodating host that made sure we had everything we needed. Being able to buy some cinnamon rolls from their bakery was the cherry on top. The overall vibe offers a nice mix of humble farmer, DIY, community dwelling energy that we greatly enjoyed. Bonus points for the library of books on homesteading, straw clay house construction, and poetry. We definitely plan to come back.

Love this place

The trip to this beautiful cabin was like coming home. We only were there for three nights but this place will live in my heart forever. What a warm farm full of love this is. We were so grateful to have found the special place to unplug, touch the earth and listen to the multitudes of lucky birds that live in the orchard. We were treated to not one, but two rooster led chicken parades up to the cabin. Cannot recommend this place enough. The scones from the bakery were out of this world. 25 stars out of 5.
