The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding. The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.  In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare. The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable. We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm. We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025. If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property

Travis was really nice and very accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter wanted to go camping but I found this place and it was a nice balance. The AC worked well and the cabins were cozy. He has canoes and a paddle boat. We started a fire in the fire pit and sat around the fire talking. We will be returning.

Weekend Trip to Campfire Adventure Ranch

I enjoyed this campsite because of the amazing sunrises and sunsets. Your campsite allowed my husband and myself to explore the terrain with cool fat tire bicycles. Our hostess was great! Stephanie made sure we were informed about potential rattlesnakes and that was much appreciated. Can’t wait to visit again.!

Weekend Trip to this is Paradise on Lake Texoma

Paradise at Texoma gave my 18-year-old pup, Chloe (“Chlo Money”), and me a trip I’ll never forget. She was recently diagnosed with cancer, and this was our last adventure together before I have to say goodbye. We traded camping for glamping, and I truly couldn’t have picked a better place. We spent our days relaxing under the stars, eating great food, letting her enjoy the lake, and making memories I’ll carry with me forever. Thank you, Paradise at Texoma, for giving us the perfect place for one final adventure together. It meant more to me than words can express.

Weekend Trip to Urban Hideout

Beautiful yard, I enjoyed exploring and we even got to climb the big tree! The cabin is clean and has lots of space to lie down and rest. Didn’t get to try the shower but it looks real charming. Going to the outhouse was also a neat experience. Brent came out to greet us when we first arrive, so we felt very welcomed!!

Overall, we had a great stay! Everything was clean and well-maintained. My babies absolutely loved the bunk beds—they were definitely a highlight of the trip. The waterfront property was beautiful, and it was just a short walk to the river, which we really enjoyed. The location was also perfect—close to a little town that has everything you might need if you forget anything, and less than an hour’s drive to Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg, making it a great home base for exploring the area. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property

Wonderfully relaxing. It's a short drive from Austin, but you feel miles away. The minute we stepped foot on Travis's land, we felt calm and content. The blue loft was clean, fun, and funky. Kiddo took the loft bed since my creaky knees couldn't handle the ladder. The downstairs futon is good for sleeping, so we both had our own spaces. The AC was wonderfully cool which was necessary in the heat of the summer. Mornings and evenings were cool in the shade. It was nice to pick one of the various picnic spots scattered about to have breakfast tacos and coffee and in the morning. We brought our paddleboards, but it was much too windy to go on an adventure. Instead, we tied them up to the floating boathouse and and watched a few boats and jet skis having fun while rotating from swimming about to floating with the waves. The covered deck of the floating boathouse it so nice and shady and the perfect spot to get out of the sun for a bit. We had dinner at some of the awesome places that Travis recommended-- The Lighthouse on the Lake & Angel's Ice House. While out & about we got breakfast and snack supplies. All good. It was the perfect getaway!

Great location! Very close to the lake. I had a blast paddle boarding. Sunsets are amazing. Kasitas are small but comfortable with the a/c. Took my pups and I was mindful of picking up their poop and keeping them on a leash. Only wish others had done the same. Other than that a 10/10!!!

We had the best time at Lone Mound Ranch. Lana and her daughter were the best hosts and we enjoyed their farm fresh eggs for breakfast. It was our first visit to Texas and it was a great, peaceful experience. Our 3 dogs had the best time as ranchers dogs. So glad we found this gem. Thank you!

We had such a wonderful stay! The grounds were beautifully maintained, the bathrooms were clean, and the cabins were so cozy and comfortable. One of our favorite parts was sitting on the patio, listening to the rain and watching the water. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely spectacular and honestly made the trip worth it all on their own. We also loved exploring the local town; everyone was incredibly welcoming, and we enjoyed some of the most delicious classic Southern meals. This place was an amazing value for the price, and we’re already looking forward to coming back very soon!

I've never used Hipcamp before. I was worried that the site itself would be underwhelming, but if anything, the listing under sold it. This is an adorable property that is thoughtfully put together so that guests have a good experience. I stayed in cabin six, which was basically a little hotel. I brought a lot of things with me (dishes, towels, etc.) that I didn't actually end up needing because this place was fully stocked. The owner came by and checked on us, told us that if we needed anything to text and they would come running. The AC kept everything nice and cool inside. There are many places around the cabin to sit and relax, as well as several places outdoors. There's no cell signal, but I think the wifi at this property is better than my home wifi in the city. The river is just a short walk from the cabin. The town square is less than a 15 minute drive and there's a few wineries. I definitely plan on coming back!

Weekend Trip to Seco Ridge Campgrounds

We stayed at Seco Ridge Campground with family and friends and had such a great time. It’s a super quiet place, and literally they had everything we needed over there. Time by time we kept finding new things to explore, which made the trip so much fun. It is really comfortable, and perfect spot to just relax and hang out. We're definitely coming back again. Highly recommend!

This is truly a gem. When we looked into staying a few nights in Austin, even small airbnbs were unaffordable. The sweet little trailer was enough for 2. The bed was extremely comfortable. The yard with the humongous live oak was magnificent.
