Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. This place is like an entire homey camping neighborhood renting out the entire camping neighborhood experience. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and it's situated right near tons of river activities. I stayed in a tiny home with my 5 year old, but we're trying the teepees next time!

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property

Wonderfully relaxing. It's a short drive from Austin, but you feel miles away. The minute we stepped foot on Travis's land, we felt calm and content. The blue loft was clean, fun, and funky. Kiddo took the loft bed since my creaky knees couldn't handle the ladder. The downstairs futon is good for sleeping, so we both had our own spaces. The AC was wonderfully cool which was necessary in the heat of the summer. Mornings and evenings were cool in the shade. It was nice to pick one of the various picnic spots scattered about to have breakfast tacos and coffee and in the morning. We brought our paddleboards, but it was much too windy to go on an adventure. Instead, we tied them up to the floating boathouse and and watched a few boats and jet skis having fun while rotating from swimming about to floating with the waves. The covered deck of the floating boathouse it so nice and shady and the perfect spot to get out of the sun for a bit. We had dinner at some of the awesome places that Travis recommended-- The Lighthouse on the Lake & Angel's Ice House. While out & about we got breakfast and snack supplies. All good. It was the perfect getaway!

This is truly a gem. When we looked into staying a few nights in Austin, even small airbnbs were unaffordable. The sweet little trailer was enough for 2. The bed was extremely comfortable. The yard with the humongous live oak was magnificent.

This place was wonderful! So cute and comfortable with lots of amenities on site. The star-gazing is insane here! We also enjoyed the sauna and a dip in the cowboy pool. Close to fun attractions for outdoor adventures. Great coffee in town at Central Provisions in Center Point. We'd love to come back sometime!

2 nights at HomeAway Ranch & Wildlife Preserve

I stayed in the Lindavista Cabin and the pictures don't do it justice. The inside of the cabin is completely styled in luxury country chic. You'll find a giant LCD television in the living area, stainless steel appliances, lcd-enabled mirrors in the two full bathrooms with wraparound glass showers (one on each floor), a huge two-person jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom upstairs, remote controlled air conditioners and fans on each floor, a private balcony off of the master bathroom, and a fully enclosed sunroom off the master bedroom that could also be used as an additional bedroom for more guests. Even the kitchen faucet has an LED light that shines from the water to let you know whether the water is hot or cold. There's a comfortable little porch at the door of the cabin, and I was visited by an entire group of 9 or 10 adorable goats a couple of times each day! The cabins on this property are spaced pretty close together, but the owners did an excellent job of arranging them so that the cabins do not directly look into each other, a relief since there are no curtains in any of the many windows of this cabin. There was a small hiccup on check-in time (Hipcamp said 2pm but the owners told me 3pm not long before I arrived), but otherwise I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, peaceful, and luxurious stay.
