Welcome to our little corner of the Hill Country! La Fortuna is an 11-acre retreat home to 9 Sioux style Native American Tipis, a re-imagined Texas farmhouse from the 80s, and our newest addition a hill country styled A-frame! The A-Frame is the perfect trade off for camping in comfort. Located just 45 minutes west of Austin, in Dripping Springs, TX the tipis make for a unique way to experience life in the heart of the Hill Country.Please read the entire listing. The space We aren't a "glamping" type of campground and we do not strive to be. We do believe in comfort but this experience is not "glam". If you require lots of hand-holding and attention to detail, then this just might not be the best fit for you. Located off the beaten path (Literally. The road down is not for the faint of heart), the A-frame allows you to surround yourself with nature while not having to sacrifice comfort. We aim to provide an unpretentious space for you to relax and enjoy. The A-frame is located on one end of the property by the tipis. The cabin is minimal, clean, and comfortable! It features a king bed (and a loft small double bed 220 LB Max), fresh linens, side tables, large cowhide rug, heat and cool air conditioned space, lighting, seating area, and outdoor private fire pit with two chairs, keypad entry, deck of cards, books, bluetooth speaker, coffee maker, and a lantern. We provide a couple of complimentary waters, coffee pods, and cups. A property map with each tipi location can be found in the photos. The A-frame lives where the old tipi “el corazon” once was. Guest access - 224 sq. ft. A-Frame- There is a loft inside the A-frame (climb at your own risk) with a full bed. The listing is setup that if you book for two people the rate covers your stay in the cabin with use of the king bed if you plan to use both beds please mark the number of people so rate can adjust for use of top and bottom. Thank you!- Outdoor seating for two- Access to charcoal+propane grills- Fire pits (one private pit and a large 6-foot community fire pit). Firewood is not provided but is available for purchase.- Bathhouse with running water toilets and showers- Overlook, our outdoor kitchen, lounge, bar hangout area. Complete with all the basic cooking utensils, pots/pans, burners, and a fridge. Things to know: The road- We are located off the beaten path. The road to the property is an unpaved, caliche road. We recommend SUV or truck for getting to the property. Low clearance vehicles will have a hard time. You've been warned :) Phone signal- Oeste is an ideal place to disconnect. It's also especially easy to because there is no phone signal. (WiFi at the bathhouse if needed) Environment- This is a rural property and we are surrounded by nature. Please know the hill country is home to scorpions, crickets, spiders, and other critters. Dark skies- Please note we have limited lighting on the property in order to preserve the beautiful dark skies of the Hill Country from light pollution. So pack your flashlight or headlamp if you foresee needing it! Pets- We are pet-friendly! Dog fee is $25/night and pet fee will be requested after booking. We do not allow cats at this time. Be sure to read our note on traveling with you dog under our "Rules" sections. Your must adhere to the rules if you choose to bring your four legged friend. Children- no children allowed in the A-frame at this time.

We invite you to stay in our re-imagined country home in Dripping Springs, TX. Our space is perfect for those looking to embrace the natural beauty of the Hill Country but still looking for the modern luxuries of an urban home. The house is nestled on our 11-acre boutique campground called OESTE. Our property is home to 9 Native American tipis and a tiny A-frame we rent separately to the house for "glamping". Our property is definitely a one-of-a-kind getaway. The house sits at the back of the property offering complete privacy and plenty of acreage to enjoy. (Glamping guests have their own areas/amenities.) The Farmhouse is simply magical! It is peaceful and serene making it a perfect home base for exploring the Hill Country. We work hard to make the home more than just a place for a good night's rest. We really focus on the details to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. We work as a team to bring you a clean, cozy home with all the comfort of a hotel without being generic.  The Farmhouse has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms and sleeps six adults comfortably. Pack your swimsuit and beach towel. The pool is crisp, cool, and ready for you! The 27-foot round pool is 52 inches deep. This cool pool really helps guests cool down in the hot Texas summers (The pool decks are still under development so please use the temporary pool ladder for access). * Please note there is no cellphone reception on the property (just wifi and due to this remote location uses satellite wifi which is less reliable than wired WiFi). * The last stretch to the property is an unpaved, caliche road. High-clearance vehicles are recommended but not required.

WHERE THE LUCKY RETREAT Dripping Spring, TX | La Casa, El Corazon A-frame Cabin & 9 Tipis | 11 acres | Sleeps 28 Deep in the heart of Texas, yet only 40 minutes from Austin, sits a spot for your soul to prosper. To slow down...to catch your breath...to reconnect...and maybe even reset. From yoga retreats to personal workshops, to group events, or even just an overnight getaway, La Fortuna has everything you need to nurture nature. The grounds are home to 9 Sioux style Tipis, El Corazon A-Frame Cabin, and La Casa, as well as a rustic outdoor gathering space complete with an outdoor kitchen, pool, and expansive deck. THE TIPIS (9 Tipis) The tipis are majestic, 22-ft. Sioux-style tipis. All tipis feature a comfortable bed, fresh linens, side tables and lamps, a large cowhide rug, overhead lighting, electrical outlets, a seating area, a mini fridge, a french press, an electric water kettle, a 20-inch fan, and portable air conditioner.  In the winter months, we provide an electric heating blanket, a warm air heater, and an infrared heater for extra warmth.  Outside of each tipi, there is a private fire pit and a set of outdoor chairs. We have five picnic tables scattered throughout the tipi area with a large 6-ft fire pit up by The Overlook / El Mirador. The cabin is minimal, clean, and comfortable.  It features a king bed (and a loft small double bed 220 LB Max), fresh linens, side tables, a large cowhide rug, lighting, a seating area, air conditioning and heating, an outdoor private fire pit with two chairs, a deck of cards, books, Bluetooth speaker, mini fridge, french press, electric water kettle, and a lantern. LA CASA  (3 Bedrooms: 1 King + 1 Queen + 2 Twins): La Casa is peaceful and serene making it a perfect home base for exploring the Hill Country. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here at the property! Great location, peaceful, and had all the amenities for a good time. We loved the community kitchen and wish we would have had more time to use the pool. The a/c was not working when we were there but the staff was extremely responsive and helpful. Luckily the temperatures dropped at night and were able to open the windows to keep cool. Would stay here again :)

The teepee was absolutely amazing and Paola was just as amazing too. We loved that it was tucked away from the other teepees and there wasn’t anyone walking through our area. The setting was so beautiful and the accommodations were Amazing. The teepee was also very equipped and comfy. We will for sure be back!

This site was excellent for our glamping trip. The tipi was clean and included lighting, outlets, a bed, storage bin, and mini fridge. There were restrooms on site that were clean and not far from the tipi. There was also a communal area where we sat and drank our morning coffee as we watched the sunrise. Amazing stay and I'm sure we'll be back!

Everything was as described on website except for the following: the water was not working at the common cooking area so it was difficult to wash dishes, but this was minor. The bad thing was that we went on a day where the temperatures dropped to less than 30 degrees and was very windy. The flap that covers the entrance of the tipi did not have anything that held it down from the bottom side so the wind kept blowing it open and bringing the cold in. Additionally the heated blanket did not work. Both controls turned on but the blanket never heated up (we know how to operate a heated blanket). All in all it was a cooooold night.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. It was such a unique stay and we left feeling refreshed. The shared bathrooms were spotless along with everything in our tepee. The beds were very comfortable. There is a cool hangout area that gives you the opportunity to meet other campers. The scenery was beautiful and the stars were absolutely breathtaking.

Paola’s land was great. The site was beautiful and the tents were huge. I went in February however and I would not recommend that. While they do have a heater in each tent as well as a heated blanket, the heater is tiny and does nothing unless your standing right in front of it, and in our case, the heated blanket did not work. Thankfully we brought an extra blanket or we would’ve froze. This was just our experience so I do recommend coming, just maybe during a warmer time. They definitely have a plethora of fans.

Very appealing. Would definitely do it again! My first time ever camping or glamping so there were times I was really paranoid but all in all it was a great safe experience! The tipis and bathrooms were very clean.

Perfect getaway! Spent one night here and had a great time making a fire and watching the stars. Very comfortable accommodations and even in late June the ac/fans made the tipi quite cool.

Common area amenities were great. Clean bathrooms, showers. Nice open air kitchen and lounge area to watch the sunset. Large communal fire pit distanced enough from the tipis so ya don't feel like you're keeping anyone up. Fans in the tipi kept it cool enough to get a good night's sleep.

A great getaway

We had a fantastic stay at Oeste! It’s a magical and relaxing place. The nights were cold during our stay and we were cozy in our Tipi, even without turning on our electric blanket. There are fire pits at each site, small refrigerators in the tipi, and a great open-air kitchen (with a great view), where we prepped our campfire dinners. We came with friends and had adjoining sites and would recommend this, but quiet hours are quiet, so don’t come to party. We visited Austin from KC and Oeste was a great add-on to our vacation. We got to camp without bringing any of our gear. We have already recommended it to friends and hope to be back!
