Camping near Hamilton Pool
Sherri was an awesome accommodating host. Greeted us and showed us a campsite and the amenities which included bbq pit with a few cooking utensils, campfire, two hammocks, outdoor restroom, nice soft flat surface for our tents. Campsites around us were at a nice distance where it was tranquil and enjoyed the privacy. Will definitely be back.

This is our second stay with Sheri and John. Quiet and dark amongst the juniper and oaks of the Texas hill country. Love the rustic campsites. And really convenient to the rock climbing at Reimer’s Ranch.

Second stay here, and I would recommend. The composting toilets are handy, and the sites have firepits, tables, chairs and a grill. Even the sites that are closer together are nice and quiet. I love the tree cover especially.

Beautiful spot with lovely hosts!
We loved staying here! Sheri and Johnny were very sweet and kind and we had great conversations with them. We had everything we needed at the campsite! We invited some friends and brought our puppy Tala with us and everyone had an amazing time hanging out at Reimer’s ranch and at the camp site. Next time we’d love to come back out and see Hamilton Pool and West Cave Preserve. We will definitely be back!

We had a great camping experience at Sheri and Johnnie’s place! Campsites are well scattered, big and well-kept. Our kids also enjoyed exploring and playing. I also love how the trees provide a good shade on the campsite. Planning to camp here again in the future! 🥰

This was the perfect camp spot for our weekend getaway! My favorite part was the rustic outdoor shower. Sheri was great and made checking in very easy. I would stay here again.

Me and my boyfriend really loved the time spent at Sheri's place! The spot was very peaceful and quiet, with beautiful scenery! We got to enjoy the onsite hottub first thing in the morning, and it felt like a small slice of Heaven soaking in the hot water while surrounded by the slightly chilly morning air! The outdoor shower (with hot water) was glorious as well! We felt very safe, and had a great stay, and Sheri was a great host! I highly recommend any of her hipcamp spots!

Camping near Hamilton Pool
Sheri was very kind and accommodating. We were the only campers during the weekend and she let us choose whichever site we wanted. We arrived just after dark but she still met us and helped show us many of the different locations we could park at. The site we stayed at had 2 hammocks, a tarp with a wooden table that you could prep food on, the fire pit, a picnic table, and a compostable toilet. We didn't end up using the hot shower outside but it was about a 3 minute walk to the older house. The property is only 5 minutes from Milton Reimers Ranch Park (cash only, $5 a person) and about 10-15 minutes from Hamilton Pool Vineyards (great wine). Pedernales Falls State Park isn't too far either. You can get firewood at the Texaco store on 12 and Hamilton Pool Rd. It was a wonderful getaway that isn't too far but far enough away to enjoy the stars and not hear the sounds of the city. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a quick getaway!

All the reviews are true! Sheri is such a gracious host. When bad weather soured our plans, rescheduling was no big deal. She was incredibly accommodating. She knows her land well and puts lots of care into it Such a great experience!

Large and private campsite!
I thought it was a great idea to surprise my Fiancé with a fun camping trip out in the hill country for his bday... and then a massive rainstorm blew threw and the temps dropped to 31 degrees. Even with all that going on, this campsite was wonderful! It was a bit muddy but we had a larger car so we were able to drive up next to the site. Sheri was a wonderful host, meeting us out in the cold and mud, making sure we were comfortable and aware of our surroundings (where the potty was and what animals we might experience). A bit cold but those are the best camping stories, right?! We would 100% come back for another visit! Thank you, Sheri!

Feels remote but close to everythin
What an amazing spot! Beautiful views and feels so secluded but literally 15min to the city. Sheri was so helpful with everything. It rained literally the day of the booking and Sheri offered to refund or rebook another weekend even before we got out there - glad we said no because it was worth it! We’re already planning another time to go back so we can enjoy the outdoor hot shower….

Private and Peaceful
Sheri's property is really special and lovely. Camping area is extremely private and peaceful, and we didn't have any bug/critter issues.
Nice BBQ and drying lines, some chairs and a cute little natural table. Just loved it!

Gem! Peaceful and quiet retreat.
This was by far the best camping site I’ve stayed at. It was a nice setting. Sheri was super nice! The site was well furnished for a tent site.
It’s close to parks with trails, but there is nothing at the site other than a place to cook, eat, and sleep. It would be great if there was a lot at least a walking path to go on.

Perfect Slice of Paradise
Perfect first camping experience with the dogs, it’s perfect for people who are new to the game. We had a grill, composting toilet, and didn’t get to use the outdoor shower but want to next time. Will definitely be back to our private oasis.

Star gazing in the cedars
Sheri's has a varied selection of campsite's in a great location right near Hamilton Pool, that is close to lots of destinations in the Hill Country. Sheri was very quick to reply to messages, easy check-in process, and very hospitable. She gave us a tour of the property and we selected our own site. The campsites each had different amenities, chairs, table, firepit, grill, and hammocks. A peaceful and secluded locations great for star gazing! Would visit again, thanks for the hospitality!

Perfect group camp site
I had a great experience camping with my group at Sheri’s property and would recommend it to others. The campsites are well maintained, beautiful, and perfect for shared meals. It’s the perfect place to spend the night or a few nights when exploring Reimer’s Ranch or nearby areas. Access to the outdoor shower is also a very nice way to end the night after a day of climbing. Moreover, Sheri is a lovely host and very responsive to any questions. Thank you, Sheri!

What a wonderful time! Car camping at its best. Beautiful site in the woods. Comes equipped with some outstanding natural furniture, picnic table, couple of folding chairs, and a charcoal grill that we cooked all of our meals on. Such a great secluded getaway, without having to get too far away. Couldn’t have been better, and looking forward to it again if they’ll have us back.
