All around fun camping getaway.
We really enjoyed our stay at Seco Ridge. We have been long term camping and we usually frequent State Parks. This place felt like a wonderful vacation! So many thoughtful and fun features.

Another great experience!
This was our second stay, and it was another great experience! Kids had a great time riding bikes and exploring. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and stayed warm by the campfire. Next time we will remember to bring our discs to take advantage of the disc golf course!

Amazing hill country camping!
Woodys land is so secluded beautiful raw hill country! Tent camping was a blast, the communal kitchen and bathrooms were great luxuries to have while camping. Having range of the whole property for hiking was awesome, we found some amazing views.
Woody and his wife were very friendly with us, our kids and dogs!

Great camping spot! We stayed at site 6 and it was very nice and cozy. There was a bench and table, plenty of space, far from other campers, and a bathroom very close.

Room was great, easy to find and clean. Didn't realize there was a personal microwave and fridge which was a nice add - as well a small tv. Arrived after dark. and didn't have cell signal for ~40 minutes on my way to utopia which is always a scary experience. Luckily I was able to find the wifi password easily. If you are looking for a glamping experience this is a good one - basically like a cute airbnb in the woods. This place would be comfortable for a small family for sure. Cool scenery and easy setup would def recommend!

Our family really enjoyed staying at Woody and Elaine's Seco Ridge Campground! We had fun exploring the property, playing disk golf, and visiting Utopia which is a short drive away. We would definitely visit again!

Great spot in the heart of the hill country! Spread out sites offer great privacy. The community area in middle of property features kitchen and clean restrooms with showers. Unique and artistic touches found all over the property. Woody has really done a great job here. Just a short drive from Garner state park and Lost Maples natural area where you can find some great hiking. It was also fun to hike and explore around the property. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hill country camping
Woody has thought of everything to make your tenting camping comfortable! The communal area including the kitchen is well-laid out and very clean. The bathroom even had mini heaters and hot water! Woody was very responsive and even helped us start our fire. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Quiet and serene
I highly recommend this place. We stayed by the goat shed. The campsite was large and pristine. There was plenty of soft matter so that when we set up our tent the ground beneath was soft. The fire ring was an unexpected perk and because it was cold and rainy while we were camping, it was nice to have a fire (we bought our wood from the camp store in Garner SP). It was quiet and peaceful. The host was good with directions which I kept handy; however Google maps took us there without a hitch. We happened to take our truck with us, and I think it was a good choice because the road was steep and rutted in a small section. A small sedan could probably do it, but would need to be careful. The only drawback I had about our camping experience was that the bathrooms had an open flow of air space between the sidewalls and the roof which allowed quite a bit of heat out (perfect for summer/hot, humid weather but not for the cold temperatures we had). Also, there were two large windows—near the top of the walls—opened which allowed frigid breezes inside. The only heater was a tiny, tabletop space heater on the counter beside the sink. The showers were very hot, and they warmed us—until we had to turn them off to dry and get dressed. (It mentioned an outhouse near the goat shed, but we did not find it—however the walk to the community bathrooms and kitchen was a short one.)

We loved camping on Secos! It was cold and we’re so glad our hosts had plenty of firewood we could purchase. The bathrooms had showers with hot water which was a pleasant surprise! Site 8 is spacious enough for a couple of tents if you’re with a group. Thanks for helping us stay warm, Woody and Elaine!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and staying here. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Woody made the process very easy with great communication and the sites are well maintained. The extra amenities were a bonus. Will definitely recommend to others.

Nice Spot
We loved unplugging and relaxing here. The lack of cell service was a plus for us! Wifi was available near the cozy outdoor kitchen area for necessities. Both the bathrooms and proximity to state parks/natural areas were awesome. Site #1 was secluded yet close to the facilities and was conveniently stocked with a picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad.

Beautiful place for camping
Lovely place. Our campsite #8 were just perfect for our rooftop tent. Trees around us kept us private, shaded and shielded from the wind gusts. Amenities like communal kitchen, bathroom with hot showers were very convenient. Host and family were very friendly. Even the chickens roaming in the area were welcoming. My daughters enjoyed their cuteness! Would definitely come back again and recommend to everyone. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Great secluded place between Garner State Park and Lost Maples Natural Area. Community areas and activities such as cornhole and frisbee golf. Campsites are clean with fire rings and tent pads. I had to cut my visit short due to weather but will be back!

Perfect, perfect, perfect.
We loved this campsite so much – we know for sure we'll be back to explore even more of the property. We couldn't find reservations in Lost Maples and I think this ended up being a much better alternative. So private and quiet and so many stars. Woody is just the friendliest, nicest guy and would deliver extra bundles of wood to our campsite when we realized we were running low. The communal area is done so well with a chicken coop, warm bathrooms and hammocks. We also loved exploring downtown Utopia as well. When we were packing up our gear on Sunday morning, my husband, son and I all wished that we could stay an extra two nights. Cannot wait to go back!

Really nice location near Garner and Lost Maples. The shower/restroom was really good and has a nice kitchen area with fridge/sink and couple of hot plates for food prep and cooking. Campsite had a fire ring and a tent pad large enough for a 3 person tent. Was a bit difficult to locate our campsite in the dark. Overall, would highly recommend!

Seco Ridge was great! It was a little hard to find the site because we got there after dark, but there were other campers who helped us out. The land is gorgeous and very sheltered from the wind! Woody was amazing and even had the firewood waiting at our site for us. It was great to have clean, fully functioning bathrooms. Best of both worlds, comfortable amenities, and you still feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The local animals were so cute! Especially Apollo and the black fluffy cat! I would definitely camp here again.
