We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.

At the designated tent camping sites, you will find oak groves that provide opportunities for shade. The RV sites are in a picturesque field that provides excellent views of the sunset. The field leads down to incredible cypress trees lining the Medina River. We also have a primitive camping area down by the river that requires you to park in a parking area and walk to your preferred camping spot.
If you are looking for solitude and untouched nature, this is the place for you. The comforts of Bandera are conveniently only a 5 minute drive away. We are located less than 2 miles from Bandera City Park!
At this time, all sites are completely dry. We do have porta-potties available. RV sites are boondocking only (no water or electric at this time.) Guests may stay at Memmie’s Farm for a maximum of 6 consecutive nights.
Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

Set on 25 acres of stunning pine and cedar trees between Bastrop and Smithville, Texas, Golden Pine offers the perfect mix of nature and modern comfort. The main level features a king-size bed, two sofa chairs, and a dining table with four chairs. A huge open window offers incredible views of the sunset and starlit sky.
The loft provides a warm, cozy space with two sofa chairs that open into thick single-size mattresses and a soft foam floor.
Additionally, two single-size beds are available upon request for extra guests.
The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, and a cooktop with pots and pans. It is fully stocked with dining ware, glassware, and utensils for convenience.
The dome is equipped with split-unit heating and cooling for year-round comfort, while an air vent at the top improves air circulation. A wood fireplace adds warmth and ambiance, and extra space heaters are available for colder nights.
Your bathroom features a marble-top double vanity, a beautiful claw-foot tub, and a self-cleaning bidet toilet, with plush towels provided.
The wraparound deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. String lights create a warm nighttime ambiance.
Relax and recharge in our brand-new wellness zone, featuring a spacious 750-gallon hot tub and invigorating cold plunge. Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I stayed at Boulderdash RV and Camp for three nights at the end of May. We stayed in the Stella RV . Stella was so comfortable. The linens were soft and clean, Stella has everything you need from cooking a hot meal to taking a hot shower. The AC was on point and well needed after hot days by the beautiful clean and clear Medina river. Our hosts were very hospitable and kind. It was hard to leaving back to the real world. Such a beautiful and well maintained property. We can't wait to go back, hopefully for a much longer stay next time. Thank you again to our hosts Carol Anne and Lynn!

My daughters and I had a very relaxing weekend getaway at Boulderdash thanks to our thoughtful and considerate hosts! When we arrived, we were offered a different spot from the one we booked so we could have a little extra space to ourselves, and they even had farm fresh eggs and homemade sourdough available that we snatched up for the next day's breakfast. Proximity to the river was amazing and we spent a few hours on the water together, and the bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. The grounds were also in great condition, full of greenery and wild deer we could feed with some complimentary corn (both my girls were thrilled). The cherry on top was the fact that all you could hear at night was crickets, and you could see all the stars despite some clouds in the sky. It was a great experience and we look forward to staying again!

This spot was perfect! Just did a day trip out there and brought the pups and family and it was great. Enough flowing water to sit and enjoy a beverage, swimming holes to take a dunk in. Ellie keeps the property and camping area mowed and there’s a little fire pit at the camp spot. I’ll def be returning and will do a overnight stay next time!

Great place for a less-crowded camping/glamping experience. Bathrooms were really clean. Sadly no stickers at the little cabinet store when I checked, but I will be back and hopefully can grab one then. The river was very nice as well. I booked RV site 2 and the walk was maybe 3ish minutes? No biggie. Would definitely reccomend.

I really enjoyed my camp adventure here. The river was stunning and the campgrounds were well kept and equipped. It was peaceful and chill. Forest spot 2 was secluded but close enough to walk to the restroom and not very far from the river.
All the other camper neighbors were friendly and good vibes. I will definitely be back!!

This place was perfect! Such a cute little spot. Close to Garner state park and Concan. Woody was super helpful with messages before our stay so we knew everything we needed to ahead of time. The property is beautiful with a great little main area with kitchen and bathroom and private quiet campsites. Highly recommend!

4 nights at Temple of the Bird
I stayed a few nights in the Left Wing and I'd do it again. Great bed and the window unit kept it cold even though it was 100 outside. Great communal bathrooms with showers, very clean. The best part is the stage area, it was great for our group event. Hope to do it again next year.

The area was great and plenty of space for privacy. The on site concierge was great and responsive when we needed something! The restrooms and showers were great. Water was not entirely hot but with the temperature outside and humidity that cool shower was just perfect.

I love the wildness on top of the mesa, with views all the way around. We arrived at our Remote site just as the sun was setting, and it did not disappoint. It is breezy (windy?) but it's so refreshing after a hot day.
Just be aware that you should have 4WD, high clearance and some experience with rough terrain. For me, it is absolutely perfect!

Due to a recent storm right before our say, a tree was down so we got shifted to site 15. But none the less the trip was wonderful. The host were always available and were friendly, the camp dog was a bonus and was also super friendly. Both bathrooms (one port-o-john, and one full felicity) were kept stocked and clean.
The river was nice a cool, though the camp site is fully shaded, the river is not so bring plenty of sunscreen. Overall the day was enjoyable, and we look forward to coming back.
Only feedback from our group was we used the “get directions” on the app and it took us to the other side of the river on “water drive” the actual address is posted in the description.

Definitely just as great of an experience as I remember. It's secluded and the family who runs the property are extremely friendly and accommodating. There is just enough cell service too in the event you don't want to be entirely isolated from the world.

We got river campsite #5 and it was great! Site was large enough for 3-4 tents and private dock for river access. The area was well kept and clean. The bathrooms and showers were unique and artsy. The site even has a pool if the river is not to your liking :) 10/10 would camp here again

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite! Bridget was a wonderful and very accommodating host who made everything easy from the moment we arrived. Our site was right on the river with a beautiful fire pit and plenty of space to relax. The amenities were great, and the bathrooms were impressively clean. Our kids especially loved kayaking right from the site. Truly a memorable family camping trip!

Went for a solo trip and tent camping at site 4 was perfect. Lots of shade which is important because sun really bears down at height of day. Bring pop up or umbrellas if you want to hang right on the river. Site 4 is tucked back and there is room for a hammock. The water is maybe a little over 4 ft at deepest along the river nearest the campsites. Lots of shallow walk in areas for the littler ones. Full of beautiful native Texas plants and critters. This place is a real gem! Will be back.

Weekend Trip to Sparrow Bend River Retreat
This is my third time here at Sparrow Bend Retreat. Really love camping here - we came here with a group of friends and their kids and pets. We did campsite 1 and 3. The toilets and shower are in great condition and clean. The only consideration is the hot water. It is nice and hot but sometimes it does run out. The space is spacious and quiet. I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

We had a wonderful time. Our host, Bridget, is very friendly and down to Earth. She doesn’t bother you AT ALL, but is prompt to respond to any requests or questions via text (I like that communication method. I also liked that there’s a bath house with hot showers and a flushing toilet literally right by the camp (and it is very clean), well as an electricity outlet. We were literally glamping in a Coleman Mission Tent, I had my fans blowing and all. Ladies who hate roughing it, I was very comfortable. Best thing is it’s right on the water.
