Our Riverside sites are located on a flat grass lawn, offering plenty of room to set up camp under big Cypress trees and native Pecans, and are just steps away from the crystal clear Medina River. Tent sites include a BBQ Grill, Fire Ring, and picnic table. Riverside Wash station includes electric outlets to charge phones even your coffee pot. Extension cords are not allowed to be run to the tent sites. Two private, Full bathrooms are located at the top of the hill. It is a but of a steep walk, but we do have the "Boulderdash Biffy" on the lower level for those middle of the night excursions. Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park is a charming, hidden gem located off the beaten path deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Situated on 5 acres, the sites are spaciously nestled amongst the natural beauty of The Texas Hill Country. Our guests say they love being a part of the natural habitat, feeding the deer, birds, and watching wildlife. As well as, how peaceful, quiet, and relaxing their visit is. Although not a large park, there is plenty to do. Stella is a 1968 Boles Aero 26’ vintage RV and has been completely redone by Lyn & Carol-anne. Stella is perfect for a romantic getaway and she comes outfitted with comfy linens, towels and dishes. A bottle of wine, some food, and a great attitude is all you need to bring. You will have a fire pit, private deck, and a spectacular view. We are just 10 miles outside of Bandera so we offer the peace & quiet of the country, but are not far from all the action in Bandera. Our Barn apartment is the newest edition to this unique property, and offers it guests all the comforts of home, glamping style! Our suite includes air conditioning/heat, cook top, fully stocked kitchen, fridge, microwave, private bathroom, queen bed, pull out full couch, and quirky cowboy style. We provide all the linens, so all you need to bring is a great attitude some drinks and food! Of course Bandera has excellent eateries so if you don't want to cook that's cool too! This accommodation sleeps 4 max, and is is pet friendly! We offer a queen bed as well as a pull out full sized couch for sleeping. The barn apartment comes with a private gated patio as well. We have a fire pit and grill for you in front of the Barn. Please note, you must be able to climb stairs, 22 of them to be exact, so may not be suitable for really small kids or those with knee problems.

"Stella"

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in "Stella". The AC kept us nice and cool, the patio offered lots of shade, and it was a really short walk down to the river! Our host was super responsive to any questions or requests. Thanks again!

It was the perfect place to get away with family. Water was flowing enough to have fun and the cabin was the closest to the water. Staff was super nice and its very close to town if you need anything.

Magical camping hideaway

Riverside Tent Site #2

Had a wonderful time camping and playing in the river. We were the only ones in the tent camping area so it was very peaceful and felt like our own private riverside hideaway. The dog also loved the space and room to explore. The hosts were very communicative and sent a message daily to check we didnt need anything. It was very much appreciated. They also allowed us to borrow a tube to have some fun. A couple of notes for anyone visiting: tent campsites are down a hill which means they are very private but makes the walk to the showers some good morning exercise. Also you can't see the river from the campsite due to new growth trees. I personally preferred it. You can tell the hosts really care by all the small little extras. There was popcorn and flowers on the picnic table to make it feel special and the host was kind enough to meet us at 9:30 to show us around when we arrive. This is a definate favourite and we hope to be back.

Hill Top Tent Site # 3

I loved our weekend getaway at Boulderdash! Great views of the hill country on our way there. Loved spending time on the river it was running low but still enough to sit in and cool off. Our campsite #3 has plenty of room for 3 tents and parking for 2 cars with plenty of shade. Restrooms were clean and had an air conditioner a bonus! Carol-anne and Lyn are great host with any questions we had and the homemade sourdough bread is delicious. The river side campsite 1 and 2 were beautiful sites with lots of shade. We are looking forward to our next trip! Amazing place and our time there special.

I loved my stay! I was able to take both of my dogs and they loved being able to explore, it’s a very short walk to the water and a good amount of space and privacy, the site next door was empty for the weekend so it felt like we had the area all to ourselves! There is a sink (with potable water) and a porta potty very close as well if you don’t want to go all the way up the hill to the full bathrooms. Lyn and Carol-Anne were very communicative and helpful! We will most certainly be coming back!

Absolutely Amazing!

"Stella"

Absolutely Amazing! My husband and I stayed at Boulderdash RV and Camp for three nights at the end of May. We stayed in the Stella RV . Stella was so comfortable. The linens were soft and clean, Stella has everything you need from cooking a hot meal to taking a hot shower. The AC was on point and well needed after hot days by the beautiful clean and clear Medina river. Our hosts were very hospitable and kind. It was hard to leaving back to the real world. Such a beautiful and well maintained property. We can't wait to go back, hopefully for a much longer stay next time. Thank you again to our hosts Carol Anne and Lynn!

Memories Made on the Medina!

Riverside Tent Site #2

I had a beautiful time camping at Boudlerdash! We arrived Friday night, and were greeted warmly by Carol-Anne with a lay of the land and a carton of fresh farm eggs. We drove down to camp site 2, and set up camp right before a massive storm rolled through! Luckily for us, the weather cleared up Saturday and Sunday, and we spent the rest of the long weekend sitting in the river and cooking over the fire. The best part of Boudlerdash is the HOT SHOWER!!! I have never been so spoiled in my camp life. There are also other lovely amenities like the kitchen sink for washing dishes, and the lounge chairs. I will absolutely be back!! Next time, I'm booking both river sites and bringing all my friends haha.

Riverside Tent Site #2

This is the second time I’ve been here and I loved it both times. The sites are clean, organized, and beautiful. Most importantly, I always feel so safe here. There’s wonderful trees that provide great shade coverage. The Medina river is a short walk from the site, but close enough where you can hear it alongside the chirping of birds. I’m excited to go back!

My daughters and I had a very relaxing weekend getaway at Boulderdash thanks to our thoughtful and considerate hosts! When we arrived, we were offered a different spot from the one we booked so we could have a little extra space to ourselves, and they even had farm fresh eggs and homemade sourdough available that we snatched up for the next day's breakfast. Proximity to the river was amazing and we spent a few hours on the water together, and the bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. The grounds were also in great condition, full of greenery and wild deer we could feed with some complimentary corn (both my girls were thrilled). The cherry on top was the fact that all you could hear at night was crickets, and you could see all the stars despite some clouds in the sky. It was a great experience and we look forward to staying again!

The area is so pretty and easy river access! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carol & Lyn were amazing hosts, on property for any needs or questions. And it’s close to town so we had the best of both worlds. We will camp here again SOON!

My husband and I had a great time staying at riverfront site #1. It’s a shaded area with a short walk to the river. Port a potty was nice and clean and a short distance to walk to. There is a steep hill so expect to walk up that to shower, it’s a fun workout. 10/10 recommend staying here though. Will definitely be back

We had a great time at Boulderdash! The camp site was clean with plenty of shade, a picnic table, and community sink/bathrooms. My kids loved climbing the boulders, playing in the river, and searching for deer. It was a perfect little getaway from Austin for the weekend. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed camping at Boulderdash. Facilities were all clean and well maintained. The host, Valerie was friendly and helpful. Our kids and dog enjoyed exploring the river(a little too cold for a swim).

This was our second time camping at Boulderdash and we definitely plan to return! The owners and camp host were very helpful and communicative. The campground is clean and quiet. The river spots are only a short walk from the water. Perfect weekend recharge!

Serene and rustic perfectly describes Boulderdash. It is quaint and quiet with all the amenities you could want and a short walk down to the Medina River helped cool thing down in the Texas heat. Valerie, the park host, was always around if anything was needed from the general store and we even had a chance to meet owners Carol Anne and Lyn. Fine people all around.

Wonderful campground! The most generous hosts, so accommodating and beyond. Birdseed and deer corn are provided in jars, wifi is available if necessary (but it’s so lovely out there you absolutely will not want it). The owners had fresh sourdough and farm eggs at a price affordable for everyone, the river is beautiful and the sounds of nature are really unbeatable. Great birds. Valerie is the best camp host! We really felt at home while getting the full tent camping experience. Thank y’all so much!

We had site 1 and it was perfect. It was quiet and the way the site is situated we felt that we had privacy. Owners are on site and very nice. I think site 1 and site 2 are probably the best. It is a small hike to get down to the river, but you get your steps in and some exercise. We will be staying here again. Our dogs over playing in the river

The unpaved roads and neighborhood on the way to camp were a bit misleading. Boulderdash is super cute and extremely well maintained!! We stayed in the pull-thru RV slot. It was pretty level and had shade provided by trees on one side. Plenty of room for slide outs and our big truck. Very quiet aside from all the songbirds. Owners and camp Host were extremely friendly. Good WiFi. River level was low but still flowing to enjoy sitting in it.

We enjoyed camping at site #2, along the Medina River. The stars were bright and we could hear the river. The shower and restrooms were clean. Valerie, one of the hosts, was very welcoming and friendly. My only issue was this one mocking bird who woke us up each day…we think they either thought our car was a bird feeder or that their reflection was a possible mate. They attacked the side of my car over and over, until we put a towel are that part of the car. Aside from the bird, a very peaceful stay.

This was my second time staying here and it did not disappoint. It even got better! There is a new bathroom ‘bivvy’ near the riverside campsites that made those late night/ early morning nature calls way easier to handle with no hill to climb. The owners were fantastic once again and I really valued their site manager, Valerie. She provided excellent customer support and had our firewood already at our campsite so we didn’t need to haul it down. This past weekend was very relaxing and peaceful. Will come back again. Highly recommend.

Boulderdash is quite amazing! We usually camp in tent campsites because we have a tiny camper, and we don't like to be among huge RVs. Boulderdash is a quite small campground but the design is great and RVs do not face each other and are not lined up, so everybody has privacy. We stayed for the first two nights in the RV site 3, and for the last night we moved to tent site 1 by the river. The tent campsites are the best for who likes nature. While they don't have water or power at the campsite itself, they have a great outdoor washing area with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. There's a port-a-potty besides the bathrooms on the hilltop. Our campsite had a fire ring, a grill, a great picnic table, and you're steps from the river. Water was pretty low but it was running because there are some springs that feed into it. Everything at Boulderdash is well thought out, the bathrooms are super clean and cute, shower is FANTASTIC! Every picnic table has a flower arrangement and a jar of corn to feed the deer, and a small shop. Wi-fi made camping bearable to our teenage daughter. Also fantastic are the hosts: Carole-Anne is super friendly, and received us with a pumpkin bread that she baked to all campers who were there on thanksgiving. That really set the tone right. She was super accommodating to our requests, and is just an overall nice person. Their dogs and cats are super sweet, as are the deer that come every day to get sone corn. We had a wonderful time!

Great communication, wonderful location. It was very peaceful, close to the water, and it felt safe for me and my dog! The tent sites have a porta potty and outlets, very convenient. Highly recommend, it was a great time!

We had a great stay. Tent site 2 has lots of room and plenty of shade. It’s a short walk down the hill to the river. Having the sink and porta potty down near the site made life much easier. The facilities up top are nice. Having cornhole there to play was a lot of fun and one less thing to bring. We’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful experience! The host were super sweet and helpful. The campsite was perfect. We loved the fact there was Cornhole to play and it was our nightly activity. The view walking along the river was beautiful! I'm so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back!

Lyn & Carol-anne are incredible hosts and have one of the choicest plots of land along the Medina. Our favorite part was using the tubes they have available on site to float and soak in the sunshine. They have a lot of essentials on hand to buy if you forget something. We will be back :)

Stunning. My dog loved it! We saw many animals amazing place to get back in touch with nature, Good fishing, snorkeling was amazing, the camp site is well maintained, flat places for the tent. Trees were perfect for our hammock. Walk to the water is like three minutes with some rocks.The water is so clear, feel clean and wonderful, and its at its highest late spring, early summer. We went in September and it was deep enough to snorkel in. The night stars were so clear in this area! The owners were so nice. They stock the bathrooms with nice things. I would recommend
