We welcome you to come enjoy the beautiful outdoors and dark sky on a scenic 110 acre ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Our family has lived and cared for this unique property since 1976 and we are still here today. We are conveniently located in Blanco, Texas less that 50 miles from either San Antonio or Austin and in the heart of the Texas wine country. Our campsites are next to a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away or hillside with amazing views of the river valley. You will enjoy the babbling creek, miles of hiking and biking trails, cooling off in the creek, scenic hilltop views, solitude, bold sunrises and sunsets, and a brilliant night sky. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

Our campsite is next to a pioneer era rock wall fence and is located on a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away. We loved the land, critters, bird songs -- and despite the rainy weekend (in early April, it's to be expected), everything timed out perfectly for us to get some sun and set up in between the showers, then we'd shelter in the tent and relax for a bit til it passed. It's so good to get away and unplug, even if only a couple nights at a time :) I must say: yes 10/10, would recommend, but be aware, with recent drought conditions and the new wave of rain we got, the creek was fun to look at, spot different fish, etc., but it wasn't trickling enough for me to get in it personally. But the state park with swimming is super close if that's a concern. It didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves!

Live Oak Vista Campsite
This campsite was exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. The location was perfect and pet friendly, which made it even better for us. We enjoyed walking the trails and watching an amazing sunset. My favorite part of the stay was lying under the stars and seeing several shooting stars—it truly made the night unforgettable. The host was very helpful, and we would definitely love to stay here again.

Perfect Hill Country Campout

Incredible piece of property just outside downtown Blanco, but far enough away to feel like you’re truly alone. William was an awesome host and very responsive to all our questions. The property, camp site and restroom were clean and easy to find. Easy hikes and we didn’t even get to see all the property! We will absolutely Be back to enjoy all that Williams property has to offer. The only thing I could ask for would be a proper picnic table in the oak grove instead of the small metal table, but we made it work. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this site, or any of the others in the future! We will be back!

Hillside Live Oak Grove
I have camped at this property before but always at the Live Oak Vista. This was my first time camping at the hill side live oak Grove, and I loved it! The views were amazing, and it felt very private. The site itself was so sprawled out, and just overall a perfect campsite. I also feel like I heard and saw more wildlife at this location which I loved. i will always keep coming back to this property, I have camped at several other hipcamps and this one is still my favorite. Also Blanco is my favorite Texas town.

Live Oak Vista Campsite
Great spot with awesome view. Very relaxing. Lots of deer. Coyotes howling in the distance. Was worried we wouldn’t make it up the short drive pulling a small high clearance camper due to one small section, but after a few attempts was able to make it with a Subaru. Will be back for sure. It’s also close to town if you want to run out.

Blasingame Creek Camp
We stay at this property often, so I decided to try the campsite on the "other" side of the creek. It was a scenic and peaceful spot. The trails around the ranch are always a great morning hike. Lots of deer and turkeys around. Thanks again for hosting!

Blasingame Creek Camp
This was our second stay here, and we’re glad we came back. The first trip was about 50% rain, so we wanted to come back and fully enjoy Blasingame Camp. William and the Gray family are super friendly, the property is beautiful and very private, and there’s plenty to keep adults/kids/pup entertained without leaving. Being close to Blanco Square is a big bonus, and the bathroom upgrade since our last visit was much appreciated. Highly recommend — we’ll be back.

Absolutely beautiful, large and well-maintained area that includes large fire pit, table and chairs, tent pad, and easterly view of area. Would have been an awesome sunrise if not for foggy morning. Peaceful night under the Texas stars!

Actually everything was alright a great view and I think is a very good place for beginners because the campground is not far from the owners house, I think people that never have spend the night in the outdoors could feel safe a out this.

William’s land was perfect for a friendsgiving camping trip! Felt super safe and private. Really easy to get to - didn’t see anybody besides our group while we were there but were still close enough to town for anything we needed. Nice trails around the property to explore and we appreciated that you can have firewood at the site upon arrival. Would definitely recommend!
