Big Pond Tent Site
I loved camping out on Fritz’s land! The landscape is so beautiful and it was so peaceful out there. So many different species of birds to hear and see. The water is crystal clear and refreshing to take a dip in! Definitely planning on going back out there in the future!

Heaven on earth!
Everything was so wonderful about my stay. Driving in, was an amazing adventure to start the trip. I had no issues with my 2wd coupe and there are a few times you cross over a bit of water.
Fritz was an amazing host! I added burgers on to my trip so I didn't have to cook at night and he went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Thank you so much Fritz.
Staying at the big pond site was unreal! Just me and my dog there and as a single female I would like to note, we felt so safe out there.
We hiked around the huge property during the day and saw some of the other camp spots that are amazing too (I'm quite partial to big pond though) great hiking, and relaxing. It rained both nights which cooled the nights off. There was no flooding issues and we stayed dry in our tent (but make sure to have a rain fly or tarps just in case!)
I cannot wait to visit again. It was truly a slice of heaven for me and my pup.

“Fritz’s land is such a wonderful experience. Just the drive to the cabin gave us a surreal overlanding feel with fun river crossings—perfect even for beginners. The kids loved every bit of the trip. While we chose the cabin for access to hot water and power, we all ended up tent camping and had an awesome time. The land, the people, and the animals were all amazing. We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway.

This ranch is beautiful! Fritz was very hospitable the whole stay. He went out of his way to be sure we were good during some weather. The spots were both stunning and very private. We stayed with 2 young children and they had a blast. We definitely reccomend staying here!

We had a great time camping at Fritz’s ranch! The Ridge is an awesome site. It’s perfect for sunrise, sunsets and stargazing. It was a nice flat area with a large fire ring and two perfect trees for hanging the hammock. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for beauty and seclusion. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic camping on some of the most beautiful land in Texas - this place seriously rivals all Texas state parks. Beautiful topography combined with natural springs and diverse wildlife make this ranch a must see. We saw quail, turkey, whitetail, red stag (including an albino), javelina, horned frog, bass, sunfish, etc. The landowner and his assistant were extremely helpful when it came to booking the reservations, driving directions and navigating the property. Also, there are no cattle on the property, which is nice when it comes to walking around (no landmines to avoid).

The Big Pond Big Camping Spot
We had a full group out this weekend and this spot did not disappoint! The views throughout the property were amazing and the drive in was a site to behold. Fritz and Ken were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The property is beautiful. Looking forward to taking my wife out later this year.

The Ridge
My buddy and I decided to test out our new calling set ups at LAF. It was a decent drive but worth it. The owner is very nice and informative. The description was accurate, you cannot beat the views from the ridge. We spent time checking out each campsite, each offer a cool and unique experience. Best part besides the views, no cell service. Unplug from everyday life and enjoy nature.

The Teepee
Wow, what a cool campsite! My 11yo son loved the teepee in the site and playing in the river pools just below. Sleeping was easy with the sounds of live water. Bring your Hammocks as there are several trees, some already with tied ropes, to stretch out in. The entire ranch was a treat to visit. We will be back!

One of the best experiences I had, the night stars, the spaces... The place is huuge. The directions to get there are kinda tricky, you just need to trust and keep going forward. Went with wife, daughter and two dogs. Totally amazing

This cabin is perfect, tucked among tall trees, completely peaceful, and beautifully secluded. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy nature, and feel truly away from it all. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property to explore with endless hills and water holes. Our family (kids & dog) loved every minute of it and we especially liked the lack of cell service so we could truly disconnect! We hope to be back soon.

We loved tent camping on Fritz's ranch! So much to enjoy and explore. Falling asleep at night with to the sound of the river and coyotes singing was amazing. Definitely will be back again. Fritz is a warm, friendly host and made us feel very welcomed.

I really enjoyed my time camping out on the ranch. This is a very unique opportunity that is not often found in the Texas Hill Country and very fortunate to have found this spot and thankful to Fritz for opening up his property to share the experience with others. Stayed at the pond camp site and it was very secluded and relaxing alongside a beautiful clear creek. Would highly recommend!

The Green Cabin
Fritz's LAF Ranch is a truly beautiful piece of Texas. We went there with our dog to have some solitude in nature and just enjoy the outdoors and our expectations were exceeded. The ranch feels like a place removed from time, as you are several miles off the paved road and surrounded by tall hills cut on the sides with dramatic sheer cliffs. We enjoyed hiking, swimming and all the traditional camping activities at the green cabin site, which has everything you need and nothing you don't. Fritz himself provided an outstanding stay with world class hospitality. We enjoyed the cheeseburgers that he made us, and he delivered a very generous portion of firewood to our site. The best part may have been the staggering amount of space we had access to and allowing our dog to run around free of any constraints. We hope to return to the Ranch one day soon!

Trust me you need to camp here. Look no further than this. I can almost guarantee you this will be one of the best places you’ve ever camped at. Mr. Fritz, was extremely friendly and really wants everyone who stays here to have a great experience. If you have your own water filtration system then you’ll an abundance of drinking water. Thank you sir me and my family will be back soon!

Truly breathtaking views! If you are looking for a place to disconnect from our busy lives, this is your spot. My husband and our two boys enjoyed ourselves more than we thought we would. There’s always something to do. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you Mr. Fritz for sharing the Teepee with us! The teepee was definitely icing on the cake! Can’t wait to be back.

We had the best time! The host, Fritz was so helpful and met us at our location. We loved our spot and set up camp in a different way with our tent across the pond! We enjoyed hiking with our dogs and they were finally worn out! Such a beautiful place. Breath taking and so nice to leave all of our work/real life behind and just relax!

This is the second visit to Mr Fritz property. The first time we stayed at the Ladder Swimming Hole, we loved. We were amazed by the beauty and privacy of the Big Pond Tent Site, it is simply gorgeous! The experience of having the entire site including the pond and surroundings is perfect. The water is so clean that looks like the boat is floating in the air. The golden hours the water turns into a giant mirror, reflecting the trees. We were thinking to ourselves about what other camping would big such amazing experience. Mr Fritz’s hospitality was fantastic from the check in through the checkout. We will certainly come back.
