Whether you're looking for a cozy cabin getaway, a comfortable RV stop, or a back-to-basics camping experience, we've got a spot that fits. Choose from our cozy log cabins, perfect for couples, families, or small groups looking for a comfortable place to unwind after a day exploring the Hill Country. Each cabin offers a relaxed, rustic feel with the comforts you need for a great night's sleep. Need a place to park your rig? Our spacious pull-through RV sites come with full hookups, making it easy to settle in without the hassle of backing in. There's plenty of room for big rigs and easy access throughout the property. Prefer to rough it a bit? Our primitive cowboy campsites give you that classic Texas camping experience — open sky, starry nights, and the sounds of the Hill Country around you. While you're here, cool off in our swimming pool, gather with your group under our covered pavilion, or just relax and take in the scenery. The pavilion area is also a popular spot for family reunions, birthdays, and other celebrations. Bring the whole family — including the four-legged members. This is our easiest campsite to access, making it ideal for cars, motorcycles, and campers who prefer a simple pull‑in setup. There is no electricity or water at the site, but guests have full access to the shared restroom and shower facilities on the property. Additional guests may be added for an extra fee. Al’s Hideaway sits on 20 peaceful acres in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Guests come here to enjoy quiet country living while still being just minutes from Bandera, Boerne, and San Antonio. Welcome to Site 3 at Al's Hideaway — a spacious 75'+ pull-through RV site set on our stunning 20-acre property in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Easy in, easy out, no backing up required. Site 3 comes with full hookups (water, sewer, and your choice of 20/30/50 amp electric), so you can settle in quickly and comfortably. The first 20 kWh of electricity each day is included in your site price; usage beyond that is billed at our standard per-kWh rate. This site's location is one of its best features — you're just steps from the pool, pavilion, and shower facilities, making it easy to cool off, clean up, or join in on group activities without a long walk. Al's Hideaway sits on 20 scenic acres just outside Pipe Creek, Texas, minutes from Bandera and a short drive from San Antonio — close enough for city conveniences, quiet enough to feel like you've truly gotten away. On-site, you'll find plenty to do: take a dip in the pool, go for a walk around the property, toss horseshoes or play cornhole, or simply relax under some of the best star-gazing skies in the Hill Country. The pavilion is also a great gathering spot for evening get-togethers with other guests. Great hideaway! We got there pretty late and had to leave early, so we did not get to really enjoy this spot. It looked super cute with cabins for rent. We were in spot number one, which was pretty level and hook ups were great. Checked out Memaw's country store the next morning. Very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend.

An open plan huge lounge room with a full kitchen in the corner for public use, big screen tv, bar, huge BBQ, smoker, and fire pit, picnic area, lawn games, and a special little gray fluffy kitty that will love on you if she comes to say hi. The camp is a really nice set up, but very close to other sites! Our stay was very noisy (lots of dogs barking and neighbors talking). The accommodations are really nice, but it’s not the most secluded getaway.

The camp sites were level and well kept. The hookups for the RV are first rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We took every opportunity to go for walks around the campground and really enjoyed ourselves as the folks at the campground put together a nice celebration for the eclipse.

Amazing views, great owners, and delicious food at the shop on the grounds. I even got to see a few deer, alot of birds, and some turtles roaming around. Highly recommend giving this place a visit if you're ever in texas.

My daughter and I had an amazing time staying two nights! We stayed in one of the spots in the back and camped out of our van. Great little fire pit clean bathrooms the pool was awesome! A little bit cold for this time of year but we didn't care. Great place to do dishes watch TV play games and cook for the family. Hosts were extremely friendly and there is a firewood, ice, and some food as well as souvenirs available as well. This place is even nicer than staying at a state park. We will be back with the entire family.

Right off the back the people were nice as can be! The place was clean and we were shown to our spot. ITS A MUST TO GO INTO THE LITTLE SHOP! Was super awesome with all the amenities and everything was clean in the common area. Can’t wait to go back when it’s warm enough for the pool! Also was able to wonder around and see all the wildlife. Even though it rain a good bit on us, we still had an amazing time!

The Tipi was a fun experience, my 4yo loved it. The pavilion was nice and the bathrooms and showers were very convenient. We enjoyed hiking around the property. We’ll be back for sure!

The Hippie RV Spaces
We LOVED this RV park, its quiet, off the beaten path, but not too far out of town. The owners are super friendly and we enjoyed getting to know them, they clearly love their park. Their is a really awesome outdoor pavilion with tables, chairs, outdoor grill/kitchen, fireplace to sit at and enjoy in the evenings, they have horseshoe and corn hole games and a nice little trail across the back of the party. Plus, they do pancakes with Santa for Christmas! We will definitely be back here next time we come through the area. It's one of our new favorites.

We had an awesome time! We actually ended up staying in a cabin instead of the teepee because of the weather. The staff was super helpful and friendly and we will be back to stay again! The accommodations were great and the setting was perfect!

Great place ! Owners were very friendly and inviting . Front area feels more like glamping , but their other apota in the back are far more secluded from the front , great way to camp if your looking for more of a primitive camp . They even have Tipis !!! Great pavilion area with showers and place to make food and chill .

We enjoyed our stay at Al’s hideaway. Very sweet owners they made us feel at home and the camp ground was very clean. They had pavilion area, restroom and shower very clean. They have a little shop with snacks and essentials. Definitely a place I would come back too.

Nice campsites and plenty of space between them. Bathroom has functioning and comfortable shower, toilets and sink. Other than washing my dishes I didn't make much use of the covered lounge/kitchen area but its nice to know its there in case there's bad weather. Welcoming and friendly hosts. I'm sure I'll be back.

We enjoyed our quick trip to Al's hideaway. It was quiet and comfortable. There was so much to do there. The pavilion was amazing! The bathrooms were clean and ready to get to.

Great place for singles, couple, and or family. Very quiet and quaint atmosphere along with friendly operators of the hideaway. It literally is a hideaway there is so much brush and coverage in the primitive tent area. Clean restroom and showers, nice pavilion an luckily for us the pool was open 24/7 which really helped us tent campers on the 100 degree day and cooling off in the middle of the night for more comfortable sleep. Will love to revisit in the future! There is a little general store on site but if needed a gas station is not too far away.

Site 6 - Al's Hideaway Primitive Camping
Their name is perfect, because this place is very tucked away! I felt very safe tent camping here solo, especially given there were no other tent campers that night! The property is tucked away off of any major roads, and you have to follow one of the camp hosts in your vehicle to even get to the tent camping area, which I liked. The bathroom was about a 1 minute walk from where my tent was pitched, and it had one sink and two toilet stalls. There was a motion sensor light that turned on at night which was helpful for finding it in the dark. Overall it was a great place to stay for one night as I was passing through the area!
