We went for 3 nights. It was fantastic. The re are 4 camp sights and they are not real close together, the bath house was super nice to have !! The hostess was super nice and helpful. We rented the kiack s and I wouldn't do that again I didn't even use the 2nd one we rented so to me it was not worth the expense. The river is on the low side so a tube worked for me . I would definitely recommend this camp site if you don't like crowds!! They have electric and wifi and a small town about 10 min away .

What a great place!!
We loved the waterfront and being close to the bathhouse!! The bathhouse is perfect and has everything you need!! Bridget was very responsive which is super important to me in case of issues, although we did not have any. 3 sites so it stays nice and quiet. Some issues beyond their control left the banks a little messy with river overgrown, but we made it work!! We spoke with Bridget as we were heading out and she explained itās generally cut down but because of the lake purge in Austin (Again beyond their control) it had caused the issue. We brought our paddle board and road right through it. Went down the river and up, fished,swam and collected rocks(we are needs and have landscaped our home with rocks found in all the places we camp and hike. Canāt wait to go back when it cools off. Oh and it was fun watching the grazing cows around us as they carefully watched us as well. Thank yāall for the hospitality (and fishing tips). We will be back soon!!

beautiful campsites along the water
The campsite was well stocked with towels toilet paper it had an electrical outlet there were kayaks and games for the kids the water was beautiful and multiple access points made it very easy to enjoy everything. There was plenty of shade, so even in the hot sun we felt a cool breeze along the waters edge. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back with friends! Thank you Bridget for a wonderful stay!!

We enjoyed the River Shack a lot! The town of Smithville and State Parks were only about a 10 minute drive from the site. We enjoyed hammocking, seeing the cows, and watching movies in the hot tub. We would definitely stay again!

Best stay ever
I stayed here for Mother's Day Weekend and I had a blast. Bridget was very helpful and her hospitality was top tier. Anything you would need she would be there to help you. I felt safe and secure my whole stay there. If you would like to enjoy nature and relax. 10/10 I highly recommend. I will definitely be booking with Bridget again.
