Each of these sites requires a walk of at least 50' from your vehicle to the fire ring. Site 13 is only for backpackers or people willing to hike about 500 yards to the campsite over rough terrain. There is no way to drive to it or even get close except on foot. But it is spectacular and beautiful! Only three sites can accommodate a smaller trailer or camper. Site 1, Site 2, and site 6. Please notify me in your booking if you intend to bring a camper and I can accommodate you. We practice leave-no-trace as much as possible. So please pack out anything you pack in. You are responsible for removing all trash. If any garbage is left behind in your site you will be billed for the cleanup. We have a dumpster located near the front gate. Please use it and put all your trash in there. Heads-up! We have a small farm on the property. Dogs are always welcome and we LOVE our furry friends! For their safety and the safety of our livestock please keep them leashed while on property.

Our private property is located near the historic square of glen rose but feels like you are miles away in the country. Have fun kayaking, swimming, fishing, or just sit back and enjoy the views. We have 5 different spacious sites to choose from. Most have a tree break area in-between for privacy. Or rent all 5 and have the entire property to yourself. Updated river photos will be posted on our Facebook page, or message me for updates. Unfortunately, I'm not able to control the river. It goes up and down depending on rain and temperatures. The river gets pretty low during July and August. Wheeler Branch Reservoir(only a few miles from camp) is a great spot to swim and fish when the river water levels are lower. Very small lake that is good for swimming and kayaking with a dock, clear waters. We have 5 different sites. All of them overlook the Paluxy River, have rock fire pits, seating areas, patios, and stairs down to riverbed. You will have access to one of the most beautiful parts of the Paluxy River. In order to reserve a spot you must be 21 or over. This is not extremely remote place where you can party and go crazy. We want everyone to be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the views. Site Big Pecan: This is the farthest site upriver and has one of the largest pecan trees I've ever seen. The trees provide great shade cover during the summer. This site has an awesome rock patio seating area with 2 wooden Adirondack chairs overlooking the river with stairs to provide easy access down into the water. It also has a rock firepit with 2 wooden Adirondack chairs on a rock patio. Also includes a kids sand box, and a picnic table with shade umbrella, and numerous extras available to rent. Site 1 Limestone ledge: Firepit seating area overlooking the river with 4 Adirondack chairs and a shade umbrella, separate rock patio closer to the water overlooking the river with 2 wooden rocking chairs, stairs down to riverbed, huge pecan trees, kids play set with sand box, 1 picnic table, shade umbrella, and a 10' x 10' raised tent deck platform overlooking the river. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here. Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA ! Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. Just south of Guadeloupe National Park and its peaks. Beautiful. Others have mentioned Hwy 62 noise, which is "always there," but not a real detriment to the desert experience. Basically we loved the site/experience. Wes was very helpful in advance of our stay. I would say that I may not understand the fire ban. I do "fire ecology," and at that site, if folks bring their own firewood, I see little chance for problem even with high wind. There were even some decent fire pits already built. But people with more local knowledge would know way better. For future campers, the entrance gate may be a challenge. I work at a federal site where fence gates may have 3-4 different locks that reflect different users. At Good Guad I think I counted 16-17 locks at the gate. Maybe all necessary?? Don't know. I do know it would be confusing for many folks. So Wes, maybe provide a little more info to campers on what to expect at the gate? Overall a GREAT night! Wes helped us in advance about arrival time, reservation, etc. Very clean sites. Totally recommend it. If you find trash from previous campers, pick it up.

The camp is right off the highway in a beautiful location. It has an amazing view of the surrounding location and Guadalupe Peak and provided an incredible sunset/sunrise experience. It was the perfect combination of feeling private and remote while still being right outside the National Park. I highly recommend this spot and will be saving for future trips.

The gorgeous, green/blue water of the Llano River is perfect for a quick dip to cool off, or in February, a refreshing way to start the day!

Jeff's place is always a welcome retreat. Situated on a perfect piece of land just outside Big Bend and Terlingua, it is a magnificent getaway for those looking to do Big Bend or Terlingua Ghost Town. This is my third time here, and I always enjoy it. Coyotes howling in the distance, beautiful star views at night, a well kept pit toilet and honor system firewood if you're in a pinch (please, PLEASE do not take advantage of this - the honor system is so rare these days) make it just a magnificent spot to spend a few days. My seven year old made friends with the owners white dog and gave him a huge hug. We went canoeing on the lake but left early because of the rain. We did have a wonderful camp fire and made s'mores the first night. Before we left my little one said this was the best camping trip ever and the best day in his life. This is not our first camping trip, but this place is his favorite place to go camping.

My family and all the friends we have taken to 5D ranch over the years all love it there. Site 23 is perfectly secluded from other sites with a gentle slope throughout, but 2 large tents fit on a reasonably level area. Trees provide excellent shade and wind break. The host family is amazing. We had a great time meeting other campers, and of course the resident dogs - they are very gentle and passive.

My fiance and I stayed in Forest 2, it was our first time camping and we loved it. The spot was secluded and felt quiet, not far from the restrooms either. Deer would occasionally be around the site at night time while we slept, we didn't mind, but recommended to have food stored away properly and have the trash thrown. We also went fishing by the river and saw some nice fish, the water was nice and clear. Overall awesome experience.

We just finished up our overlanding trailer and wanted to find a spot a few hrs away from home to test it out. While Texas really doesn’t have a whole lot of public land, we thought an RV park would be perfect for the first trip. Our neighbors recommended Mason Tx to us and this park came up and looked perfect! Well sure enough it was!! We were immediately greeted upon entry and the gentleman was incredibly nice and helpful! Got to our site (4) and it was beautiful!! Nice and quiet with a gorgeous view! We even had the same helpful lady who answered our phone call, come out and check on us to make sure we were all set before the super cold front came in! 10/10, will definitely be coming back!!
