Where the short-grass prairie drops into the Red River Valley, the 4R Ranch—with its magnificent vistas and rocky terrain—is perfectly suited for growing grapes. Patriarch W.C. Roper encouraged his family of sixth-generation Texans to share the beauty of this extraordinary place with others; and so it was love of this man and love of the land that inspired 4R Ranch Vineyards & Winery. Chinquapin oaks, white-tailed deer, the endangered black-capped vireo, and the occasional Rio Grande turkey inhabit this incredible property. Powered by sun, earth and wind, 4R Ranch Vineyards & Winery calls us all to slow our pace, enjoy the view, and sip a glass of wine in the magnificent Red River Valley.

RV SITE #1
Stunning campsite! It’s our favorite spot by far. The hiking is incredible, has working showers and bathroom in walking distance and the winery is AMAZING!

4R Ranch Vineyards Camping @Site #2
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The views are stunning, incredible and really easy to access our campsite with very limited traffic. We plan to stay again. My only suggestion would be to add more RV sites with your great views and add sewage dump. You can definitely charge more if you added these options and I think you would easily be able to fill up all your RV sites. The North Texas Foothills out there made us feel like we were staying at a wine vineyard in Sonoma.

RV SITE #1
Rock Road
7 miles of white rock gravel road, dragging bottom as trying to back in. So could not get in and just parked in road

RV SITE #2
The views from RV #2 are beautiful! The one thing we would share is that the distance and terrain to the tasting room definitely require a car. I’d say it is walkable, but it’s a long way and has some quite steep parts. It’s so worth the journey!! Great views, food, and of course wines. Enjoy!

It was a nice place. The only thing is that there is really no internet service out there so we could not download the site map. Also hardly any signs for directions. The winery has a incredible view. Lots of deer out there.

Perfect Respite from the Grind…
Such a special and spectacular spot in the hill Northern Hill Country of Texas. Such a pleasant surprise!
Walt and his entire family/winery crew were so gracious and helpful.
The wine is outstanding and food excellent. Views and contemporary vibe were great.
I highly recommend this experience for either primitive camping or small RV/Travel trailer.
Water and electric hook ups easy, but bring extension cord and extra hose since they are a bit removed from where you might want to park your rig.
