Trickle Creek Ranch was once a dairy, we purchased it 15 years ago and it has become a hobby ranch. We are also collector's of vintage RV's and currently have various vintage trailers and motorhomes on the property. There are horses and longhorn cattle that roam the 12 acres. We have added RV spaces to share the ranch experience with others. Be sure to visit the hey shed where you can visit with animals up close and feed them. Eagle Mountain Lake is only 2 miles away and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants within 10 minutes. We do have some full time residents as well.

Visit the "Hey Shed", a covered gathering spot with seating and tables including a smoker and gas grill for cooking. You can participate in feeding cattle at the "Bovine Buffet" twice a day and have a horse moment as well. We don't offer horseback riding but you can get up close and personal with the live stock. We also have a covered and lighted cabana near the puppy pasture where you can enjoy a fire and cook out or picnic. Eagle Mountain Lake is just 2 miles away with a marina for boating and fishing. Shady Grove Park is about 3 miles away with fishing, swimming, dock and boat launch at no charge. We are a 30 minute drive from Fort Worth, Texas. The famous stock yards area is a 30 minute drive and Texas motor speedway is a 45 minute drive. Mineral Wells Sate Park is another good day trip about 40 minutes Southwest of the ranch. We have some favorite places for dining in Azle, just let us know what your looking for. We are usually full in the winter with full timers and snow birds,  occasionally we will have an opening or accept a booking for the overflow space, just check our calendar for availability.

Gary’s place was just right for our overnight stays. Super easy 20-minute drive to visit our kids and grandkids in Fort Worth. Gary was a great host, really enjoyed chatting with him and hearing a bit about the old dairy farm. Our two grandsons (3 and 5) stayed with us for a couple of nights and loved seeing the longhorns and exploring the property. We’ll definitely be back.

I have a Ford Transit camper van, so I just needed a place to crash on the weekend away from the city. I really like that even though it feels I am away from the city there are stores and restaurants 10 minutes drive from the farm. I also appreciated they had a nice warm shower and a bathroom right by the area I parked. The fire pit is shareable, but it seems like no one cared for it, so I had it all for me 😅

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We loved staying on Gary’s property! It was the perfect weekend getaway. It was so peaceful and the animals were all so friendly and sweet. The property was easy to get to and easy to get in and out. Gary and Dee were wonderful as was everyone else on property we got to meet! We had some issues with our RV and had to use the restroom they have there which was clean and perfect! It is disguised as a cute little outhouse and was steps away from our camper. We visited the stockyards in Fort Worth while we were there which was just about 30 min away! Thank you so much for having us! We will be back!

This small RV campground had everything I could possibly want. There was a huge open field to play in and throw the ball for Lucie. The sunset was gorgeous. The host, Gary was kind and informative. The neighbors were friendly. There were even cows to feed and horses to watch. The eclectic architecture and attractive decor kept me entertained for two days.

The property was beautiful and very quiet. Not many lots which made it even more quaint. The location was a great place to get away from the hustle of the city but close enough to go in to town for anything. Only bad thing about the lot was that I was put in an overflow spot although the HipCamp app made it seem like there were several lots to choose from - this is grossly inaccurate. Would recommend calling the host's phone number prior to booking to make sure there is availability.

We loved our stay here. It was a quiet and peaceful stay for our family. We enjoyed the cows on the property and our host Gary has very friendly. Would definitely return! Many of the travelers stay there full time, if you’re looking for a community.

Trickle Creek was great! Clean and quiet, our grandkids enjoyed the animals there. Gary greeted us when you arrived and showed us to our campsite. I would recommend Trickle Creek to anyone traveling to Azle!

So cool to look out the window and see a longhorn and frisky calves bouncing around the field. The main road is just down the hill so if you are a light sleeper use the ear plugs...

Trickle creek ranch is a very beautiful place. You can tell the owner takes pride in his property. Stores close by but quiet environment for the one night i stayed there. Neighbors were nice. Plug ins and hook up very well done. Definetly would stay again and recamend a visit. Thanx again gary.

A special thank you to Gary for a great stay. We felt right at home at the Trickle Creek Ranch. Close to town for restaurants, etc, and still spacious with a country feel. Neighbors were all kind and a brand new calf was born the week before we got there. Such a fun place to stay with lots of Texas charm & hospitality!

Great place to stay! Very friendly host made sure we had everything that we needed. Our daughter loved feeding the cows dinner every night. Really nice parks at the lake nearby made the visit even better. We will be back soon.

Trickle Creek Ranch RV Park
Gary was a wonderful host. This was our first time out with our new rig and he was so helpful getting us situated at our site. We loved how there were cows to feed and interact with. They were staring us down as we came to give them some hay and moo'd as we left them. Really enjoyed a quiet weekend getting used to our new RV only a short drive from home.

Nice place, Gary was a great host! We were there for a few days while we attended an event in Fort Worth. Had a nice country feel while still very close to the city. The kids really had fun feeding the cows....who knew? Gary even had a fire pit filled stocked with wood....all we needed to do was light it up for a great campfire! Had some s'mores....good times! Thanks Gary!

Quiet and fun for the family

It was a pleasure to meet Gary and a couple of the folks that live at Trickle Creek Ranch. The property is immaculate and has 8 sites. Some are for short stays and there are a few full timers there. Another couple was staying for the weekend while we were there. The full time RVers were extremely nice and welcoming as was Gary. We normally stay at Texas State Parks when we camp but we were excited about the prospect of trying a different experience. Our kids (8 and 5) both enjoyed feeding the cows and it is right inside of the "Hey Shed" where you can also sit and relax while they do so. We took a day trip to Mineral Wells State Park just 40 minutes away and then stayed the following day at the ranch. I would definitely recommend. You will feel welcome and enjoy yourself!

Cool Autumn Vibes- Hidden Gem
Trickle Creek Ranch RV Park
Really a great little place, very cozy and comfortable. Full hook ups were a plus to simply roll in and hook right up. Gary the host was there to meet us with a smile and helpful hand. Property was very cool with cows, a garden- complete with a scarecrow, a lot of cool vintage rigs (in a good way!) and ranch atmosphere. Very inviting and extremely well kept. Friendly, safe, and quiet atmosphere within a stones throw from anything you’d need in town. There are a few long term renters here, they were very warm and welcoming also. We will definitely be back! Thank you Gary!

I am one of those people who never leaves a review online, but I had to leave one discussing how incredibly wonderful our experience was with Gary and this site. The site was so comfortable, cozy, down to earth, and just plain beautiful. Gary is a great host and does not hesitate to make you feel right at home, it seemed to come so natural to him! We will definitely be back!

Trickle Creek Ranch RV Park
Staying at Trickle Creek was a VERY pleasant experience. Gary met us there and helped guide me as I backed into my spot and then told me everything I needed to know, heck, he even had some firewood stacked for me because I told him I was going to bring a fire pit (unfortunately we weren't able to bring the fire pit though😔, but it was the thought that counted.) We only live about an hour away, so needless to say, we DEFINITELY will be returning!

Quiet, clean, unique, great host
Trickle Creek Ranch RV Park
Our first experience using Hipcamp landed us at Trickle Creek Ranch. We were drawn to Trickle Creek because my 4 year old son LOVES cows and farms. My daughter was weary because she hates the smell, but we were pleasantly surprised that there was no odor of cow pies. Gary was a great host and helped us into our site upon arrival, showed my kids how to feed the cows, then let us make ourselves at home. There was a large bonfire pit onsite that he encouraged us to use and it did not disappoint! Very quiet, respectful, well kept place to stay with plenty of amenities close by.
