Welcome to 5D Ranch in Navasota, TX. We’re located 60 miles North of Houston and just 2.5 hours from Austin. We have over 14 miles of trails, 2 fishing ponds, 4 boats that are free to use, and great views of the night sky. With 24 unique campsites, we’re sure to have one that fits your needs! We also can provide rentals of camping essentials, a S'mores package and we offer a meet the ponies session that can be scheduled upon your arrival. We can’t wait to host you! Site 19 is very secluded. Great for the Jeep campers with the fully contained tents or just the folks that want total privacy. Its a great spot for small or very large groups. Site 10 is a very private and spacious site. You will be totally surrounded by dense woods. The lane back to the campsite off the main trail is at least 200 yards. This site is not suitable for an RV due to the narrow lane: it could get scratched by the trees; however, a very small pop-up type campers will be fine as long as the driver knows how to back and turn around a trailer. Keep in mind this site is dense woods so you wont get any breeze but will be warm in the winter months. If you want privacy however this is the site for you. This site will also accommodate a large group however only 3 cars are allowed to park at site. All other cars will have to park about 40 yards away. Our four-night stay at Site 19 was honestly one of the most peaceful and refreshing experiences we’ve had in a long time. The scenery was absolutely beautiful — quiet mornings, incredible sunsets, and a level of serenity that’s hard to find anywhere else. The site itself felt private, spacious, and perfectly tucked into nature without feeling isolated. Every night around the campfire felt relaxing and memorable, and the atmosphere throughout the ranch was calm, welcoming, and incredibly well-kept. Whether we were fishing, hiking, or just sitting outside enjoying the sounds of nature, it felt like the perfect escape from everyday stress. If you’re looking for a place to truly disconnect, recharge, and enjoy Texas countryside at its best, Site 19 at 5D Ranch is absolutely worth it. We’re already talking about coming back.

5D is so close to home yet it feels so remote. This site was very large and surrounded by dense woods so it felt very secluded and private. The trails and sites are well maintained. We spent a great weekend here with friends and the kids loved exploring the trails.

I had a great experience at this campsite for second time. The area was clean, well-maintained, and felt safe the entire time. The sites were spaced out enough to give some privacy, which made it really relaxing. I especially liked how quiet it was at night—perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. I’d absolutely come back again.

Absolutely loved camping at 5d ranch!! We had another camp site we were supposed to stay at but a tree fell over that campsite so very short notice we booked a spot at 5D ranch and they were very accommodating for us and we are greatly appreciative of it. The campsite was perfect. So many trees so was very shaded and having that seclusion as well being tucked back. The pond was awesome as well, we were able to take the boats out and had an amazing time! Absolutely loved it and are definitely coming back again!

5D ranch is a charming campground with a mixture of forest and meadow. The directions were clear, the host friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms far better than a porta potty. Site 22 specifically is set just inside the edge of the treeline and has a view across the meadow. The bathroom is a short walk across the meadow. The ground is sandy and even after several days of heavy rain we didn’t have trouble with puddles or mud. There are no other campsites within 100 ft of site 22. There is plentiful shade, trees for hammocks, flat ground for a tent, and a centrally placed fire ring. We didn’t have trouble with bugs or ants. Our kiddos did the “meet the ponies” and “feed the chickens” experiences and said that they had a great time. Overall we had a good experience and would stay here again

The ranch was a great place for our 3-night stay with our dogs. The site we chose (#9) was secluded and large - big enough for a family gathering. It was mostly shaded, which was great for keeping cooler on warm days. We noticed a lot of variety in the types of sites available - some on the smaller side, some very large, some remote, some in more open areas - so anyone should be able to find the right spot for their needs. The main bathroom (no electricity/hot water) was clean and well-kept. We enjoyed the trails, and even enjoyed getting a little lost in the woods! The host was friendly and efficient. I'd recommend it and would definitely go back.

5D ranch was a wonderful stay! Campsites were in great condition and the property is well maintained (clear pathways, clean trails, etc). Campsite 10 is very secluded and exactly what I was looking for. Perfect if you want to truly feel “away” from everyone but still a couple minutes walk from other sites and the out house. Other campers consisted of families & dogs that were all very kind! We were able to meet some folks at the fishing pond while having plenty of space to do our own thing. But I must say that Julie and her family are what made this an incredible experience. From the second we checked in to the moment we left, Julie and her daughter were so welcoming. Felt like we had visited several times :) will definitely be back!

This was our first camping trip with our toddler, and I couldn’t have found a better spot! The property is peaceful, beautiful, and well kept. Julie took great care of us. Site 17 is secluded and surrounded by shade trees, close walk to an outhouse, and has easy access to trails. The lake is not far at all, and our son loved fishing, the boats, and just throwing rocks in the water. We will definitely be back.

It was great, I liked that I only had to pay once for the whole time I was there, no paying extra for fishing or going out on a boat or anything like that, plus good hiking trails and very nice owners that would check in with you every once in awhile when you were at your campsite. It felt like a gated community in a good way, the stars at night were beautiful and the owners provided a map to us when we first arrived, I’d definitely come back again.

We had an amazing stay at 5D Ranch! The campsite was beautiful, clean, private, and spacious. Easy communication with the host throughout the process. The property has great trails for hiking and a nice pond for fishing with the kids. Being able to use the boats (with life jackets included) was such a nice bonus and made the experience even better. It was a fantastic getaway, and we will definitely be coming back!

We stayed at camp site 6 and had a great time during our stay at the ranch! Beautiful pines that opened up to a field of wild flowers. Short walk to the lake where my boys caught a couple of bass. Julie was very kind during our visit with her horses! Loved our trip, wish I would have asked off work longer so we could stay another day!
