Briers Primitive Camping is about a half-mile thru two pastures off of FM 244. Some pasture, some woods, creek, gullies--lots to explore. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent in a field or deep in the woods. Explore pasture, brushy areas, gullies, washouts, creek bed. Practice orienteering. Hike in the woods. Cut firewood and build a fire. Primitive camping for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, or others who just want to get away for a night, a weekend, or longer. This was my second time staying here and it was very quiet and secluded. Gary is very responsive and accommodating! It was a great trip, even though it RAINED Friday!!

Once we got there, Gary gave us good directions to a nice spot. It was beautiful and filled with an abundance of sounds from nature. My son and I will be back!

Had a peaceful weekend at Gary’s place. The spot was quiet, spacious, and just what I needed to unwind. Gary was welcoming and made sure everything was set for a comfortable stay. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing escape.
