Built in the 80's by the Corps of Engineers, Paradise has been a mainstay of the lake for many years. Recently, the current management team are working to grow Paradise into something special. With a huge focus on community and culture, Paradise has tons of space for people to come together and enjoy the company and also areas to wander off and find a quiet lakeside spot to relax. You'll also be able to catch one of the best breathtaking sunsets on the lake!
The wildlife we have on the property is amazing! I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos!
We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.

Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood.
Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay.
Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out!
We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA !

Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. We do not supply towels, toiletries, tents or bedding.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. A cozy, private, 4+ acre camp, half a mile down a gravel/dirt road, set up on a creek across from the river. Off the beaten path, but just about 10 miles off I20. Gated entry with camera, bathhouse- all with private access to creek and river. RV spots also available with full hook ups, fire pit and picnic tables. Also 1 fully furnished camper for rent and tent spots. We are almost never full and have plenty of space. Kayak rental and tube/shuttle available for additional fee. You could even rent the whole campground! $10 pet fee (per pet per night), must be added as an Extra and under 20lbs. 2 nights at Temple of the Bird
If you are planning a trip to see Big Bend or the surrounding area, or just looking to get away. Terlingua is an a perfect location to land and slow down. If you do pick Terlingua, there is no better place to stay than Temple of the Bird. Mike is an incredible person, and once you hear his unique story, you will understand why he is the perfect host. There are accommodations here for any traveler, which lends itself to meeting unique people and having a truly one of a kind experience.

Loved this place! I had the campground all to myself, probably because it was the dead of summer. 😂
A big thunderstorm rolled through my last night there, and it was something to see. The Wi-Fi stayed strong even during the storm, which was surprising, and the showers were HOT.
My only complaint is the long, rocky road getting in. I was in a small car, so just take it slow. I stayed at Campsite 5, which was perfect—right across from the showers and bathrooms.
Would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful time camping and playing in the river. We were the only ones in the tent camping area so it was very peaceful and felt like our own private riverside hideaway. The dog also loved the space and room to explore. The hosts were very communicative and sent a message daily to check we didnt need anything. It was very much appreciated. They also allowed us to borrow a tube to have some fun. A couple of notes for anyone visiting: tent campsites are down a hill which means they are very private but makes the walk to the showers some good morning exercise. Also you can't see the river from the campsite due to new growth trees. I personally preferred it. You can tell the hosts really care by all the small little extras. There was popcorn and flowers on the picnic table to make it feel special and the host was kind enough to meet us at 9:30 to show us around when we arrive. This is a definate favourite and we hope to be back.

Lovely spot not too crowded. Other campers are about 50 yards away and you have a section of the river basically to yourself. Host is super understanding and welcoming. There is electricity close at night. A porta potty for bathroom, and a public shower. The damn is so beautiful and above it you can kayak (my friends said it was perfect for kayak). The constant damn noise makes it peaceful at night too.

We loved the camp site. It had plenty of shade from the trees. The camp site was very quiet and we were the only people there for most of the week. We fished the Brazos river and caught a few small catfish and two turtles!! The host was very friendly and helpful. She even gave us a gift. It was a great place and we would recommend it to everyone.

My wife and I celebrated her bday here. We stayed in RV Slot 1 but also booked RV Slot 2 for more privacy after reading reviews. Glad we did because they are a little close together. Slot 1 is a little further from the house that is also a rental property. However the tent sites (Site 3 in particular) are all pretty private and have a much better view of the river. We would definitely book again just would get a tent site the next time. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The river is beautiful and the views are amazing..
